I thought tht. ive never seen or read tht the bid has been rejected only tht they may ask to negotiate for a bit more money

Hearts have already quoted they want £3m for him

£3 million is ridiculous for Wallace

So was 9 million for hutton

£9m for Hutton was fair. Both SAF and Mourinho have prasied Hutton and he is one of the best fullbacks playing in Britain. £3m for Wallace when he has one year left is over the top, but its Hearts decision and if they want to risk losing him for nothing next year then its up to them.

9m for Hutton was definitely fair, he was producing regular top class perfomances both in the league and in the champions league at the time. Wallace is injury prone, hasn't played at the top level and is in the last year of his contract. If they really are asking for 3m we should tell them where to stick it and go get him for nowt in 6 months time

No-one is going to pay the £3mill for him, the Jambo's won't sell him to Rangers unless they can cream every last penny. This could go to the end of the window, or we may wait until January and get him for next to nothing. It may all depend on just how much we want him, ed ?


{Ed010's Note -totally agree, the £3m valuation is to place Wallace out of our reach. In my opinion, with Papac having only signed a one year deal, it makes sense to make a move for Wallace next summer, when he will be a free agent.

I've watched whittaker for a few years now to realise just how good he is and i realised very early on in his rangers career that he couldn't lase the boots of maurice ross. his agent claims he is one of the top 4 players at the club but i reckon he is 1 of the top 4 rb's at the club and thats being kind to him. he was the worst player in the title run in just pipping mo edu to top spot. and for the guy to make demands to rangers and turn down an extremely generous offer has only confirmed to me of how big of a TW#T he is. rant over

I for one am not worried if he wants out then let him go take as much as we can get. We have a ready made right back already in Broadfoot. I would also move for Foster. We then have competition for RB but also Broaders as cover at CB. (I think he was coming into his own before his injuries). Whittaker was plucked from mediocre midtable and now thinks he is as good as Dani Alves goodbye and good riddance. As for Miller being a Judas his situation was different he was sold by the club and didn't force a move like Whittaker.

If true that Rangers' offer trebles his wages and makes him one of the top earners, then your question is well founded. There is no way that he is worth that type of wage. His head has obviously been turned by the riches in Turkey and I'd get rid of him now. Use the fee recieved and wages saved on a player who wants to be at Ibrox.

Looks like Whyte is applying the same principles of purchasing distressed companies and assets to football transfers. Drive a hard bargain as the seller is distressed. Trouble is, it won't work with the targets he has been chasing as none of the clubs are in financial trouble. If his targets are good players, other clubs will step in and sign them, as has been evidenced with Danns, Conway and Hemed. Mr Whyte needs to change his tactics. Only business done is the deals for Weir and Healy, who no one else would be interested in. Worrying times.

Explain how the club was in better nick as u say before Whyte came in. I'll give u one example of why its a million times better now, Whittaker is currently on about 6-7k a week, His latest offer to stay is 21k a week, If Whyte never came in how much do you think he would be getting offered to stay? I would say he wouldnt even have got offered a new contract, he would have been sold when the 1st bid from Bursaspor was received so right now we would have an extra 300k getting paid to the bank.

He is a decent honest player going forward, and thats all. He can't defend for toffee though, and he must be believing all his own hype. We should take the million and add another million or 2 to that and sign a proper right back, and give him 20 odd grand a week.
Regarding whyte, I do think he's still got to push the boat out a bit when signing players. The days of player playing for the romance of the game is over. I do like the way hes played hardball with clubs wanting our players, for instance a year ago whitty would have been off to Turkey for 300 thousand, after this window closes all the other clubs will know that they just can't take our players on the cheap any more.
Saying no to the. sale of our players is a statement from Mr whyte and good on him, he is going to let whitty go when he gets the offer over a million.

Is this the same assault charge for which he is appearing in Court today, or is is a separate new charge.

Think it's about time Rangers publicly declare they are no longer interested in Goodwillie. Good player he may be, but do we really need this type of person at our club ?
