Rangers are in talks with man city over a 6 month loan deal for midfielder Aleix Garcia who looks likely to sign in january.

31 Oct 2016 17:45:36
Would love that to happen but the lad looked like the best player on the pitch against man united so I reckon he'll be in man city's first team or thereabouts from now on.

Rangers 1993 Where did u get this info from? would love it if we were going for these types come Jan, the guy's position apparently is a defensive midfeilder.

01 Nov 2016 16:56:12
as good as this boy is don't see the benefit in only having him for 6 mths he will be replacing a signed player and there's no long term gain from it.

01 Nov 2016 21:14:48
If it strengthens team to secure 2nd place and maybe Scottish cup then that would be great, getting into europe is of paramount importance to raise our profile again and for the cash it can bring in! That would benefit us long term.

Why would we want another midfielder when we already have plenty, some of which aren't even getting game time? Rossiter/ Crooks/ Forrester/ Holt/ Halliday/ Windass plus a host of young players such as Ashmore/ Barjonas/ Burt and the ones on loan - Scott Roberts/ Jordan Thompson. For me = Midfield is doing alright. We need defensive cover.

Bristol city seemingly want to sign our striker martyn waghorn in january. The fee that's being banded around is 2million quid. Here's the question bears, do we sell waggy for that sort of money? I think we need to keep our squad intact, but of course money talks. What i will say, regarding waggy, is if he starts in our starting 11, it has to be in the central position in our 3 man forward line, not out wide right or wide left. that's my opinion anyway.

31 Oct 2016 06:55:54
For 2mill I would sell. He hasn't been able to finish his dinner this year. As long as the money was put back into the team.

31 Oct 2016 06:58:29
They must be on drugs to want to pay that lol, if we get offered anywhere near that I'd bite the hand off them, that's a good quality centre back n box to box midfielder or left sided winger.

31 Oct 2016 07:26:09
If someone offers 2m then absolutely we should. take it but I don't think it will be that amount and we would be lucky to get 1m and I would still take that as I think we paid around 300k or he was a free can't remember? Wags done well last yr but just hasn't produced this season. As long as Warbs was given money to bring in another strikers on top of one or two more and I'm being realistic I know we could do with more but its going to take money OR Warbs and Mcparland may have the option of bringing in players on loan players who are being kept out their squad due to top top players. We must be looking at the big teams down South, Jan will be very interesting and I hope our connections will bare fruit. We must also not only get into Europe but qualify for the group stages as this would be essential financially it'll be extremely difficult but the money on offer could result in us being able to buy 2-3 players costing 2-3m.

Bigblue ayr, imo we have a good left winger in barrie mckay. He's been right benched as he's off form. I think this wee rest will be good for him and he'll come back all the better for it. Make no bones about it wee mckay is a good player who's going through what all players go through from time to time, a loss of form, simple as that.

31 Oct 2016 10:54:58
If we could get that sort of money for Waghorn I would take it. I am not convinced that he is capable of scoring goals at this level and is just another, like McKay that is no more than Championship level. We need to set our sights higher!

31 Oct 2016 11:31:48
Waghorn ain't worth 2ml, waggy thought he was better than he is after 1 good season in the championship, that's y he never signed a contract extension like the others did, and btw I'm glad he never signed, he has found his level unfortunately for rangers I may add, hopefully he proves me wrong tho.

31 Oct 2016 12:57:38
Sorry to burst anybodys bubble but waggys certainly no michael ohalloran i fought moh took it to another level on saturday was just magic to watch, on the plus side garner is getting better with games luv his attitude nd good aireal threat he gives us so if were getting offerd the sums iv been readin then its ACCEPT and run wi the money n maybe we can get a good bloody centre half for once and a proper box to box or even defensive midfielder. James stirlin and supercoopereleven do yous agree.

31 Oct 2016 13:19:06
yes barry I agree if we get offered 2 million we should sell and buy a quick CB.
I don't agree that McKay has found his level as he is a really good player just off his form TOMUSA.
it happens to the best of players and that's exactly what he is going through, he will come back in and play brilliantly I am sure of it.
waggy for me is no winger and if he is to get more game time I agree it should be through the middle.
BIG shout out to MOH who has done what I thought he couldn't and put his name on the starting 11 team sheet. (certainly proved me wrong hope it continues)

31 Oct 2016 14:03:30
If 2 mill is rite I would sell him and invest in a CB . He doesn't look half the player I thought he would be for a guy that's played at a higher level than spl he's toiled.

31 Oct 2016 14:33:30
Yip barrymiddleton, i agree with you that 2million quid for waggy would be an offer we couldn't turn down. On to michael o'halloran, as you and everyone on here already knows, i've been posting on here for ages now, stating MOH deserves his chance and a place in our starting 11.I rate moh very highly and always have done, he's a superb player and will be a tremendous asset for us, imo. Michael has certainly grabbed his chance with both hands. He was motm imo against st. johnstone and absolutely outstanding and without question motm against kilmarnock. He had both the killie full backs on toast! As regards to barrie mckay, he on his current form, deserves to be on the bench. The wee rest will do him the world of good. He's a very good player who's only lost his form. For the box to box midfielder you want mate, we already have one imo, the outstanding jason holt! What do you think barrymiddleton? Hope i've answered your question mate!

2mil for Waggy? I hope Bristol City aren't bamming us up.

31 Oct 2016 19:10:40
Is it Halloween or April fools day? Rangers would drive him down to bristol for 2 million.

31 Oct 2016 23:12:50
For 2 million I would personally drive him down myself and through in dodoo as a freebee.

01 Nov 2016 10:35:31
waghorn is a much better all round footballer than moh. he's going through a bad spell after his injury give him time.

01 Nov 2016 12:29:44
Cee, we don't have time to see if Waghorn, and for that matter, McKay, can hack it in the top league. We still need a quality centre back and ideally a quality striker to replace Miller, (because he isn't getting any younger) .

If someone comes in and offers 2m for Waghorn then I think we would be crazy not to take it and I would sell McKay as well at the right price so that proper money can be spent to bring in a centre back!
