I've heard we are looking at
Keisuke Honda as he wants to return to Europe, anyone else heard this?

04 Jul 2018 10:56:13
He was absolutely horrific for Milan. His career peaked at CSKA and he's been woeful since then. Can take a mean free kick but that's it. Always been better for Japan than for club.

03 Jul 2018 20:20:44
The Sun reporting Lafferty has pulled out of a friendly due to a "family issue". I wonder if that's related to the Morelos rumours? Perhaps he's the go to replacement if Morelos leaves before the Europa qualifier? Pure speculation on my part but you never know.

03 Jul 2018 20:33:37
This will no doubt be ridiculed by most but Lafferty is a far superior striker to Morelos. We should definitely go for him.

03 Jul 2018 20:46:12
See we beat tns 3-1 today in a behind closed doors game
Serge, Murphy, mccrorie all scoring perfect start

03 Jul 2018 22:03:26
Lafferty is shocking always has been was totally useless the first time at us and has done nothing for any club since he left a few decent games for an average hearts team and we should sign him again? Sorry but i really disagree with going for him there is loads better than him out there.

03 Jul 2018 22:27:54
Deanobear, an average Hearts team he scored regular, including two against them, get him for a free and will be a great
sqaud addition .

04 Jul 2018 02:00:51
Ffffffhhhhaaaahhhaa lafferty better than morelos

04 Jul 2018 02:03:48
Lafferty scored many important goals for us, to say he was useless is way off the mark. He is doing well at hearts and he was banging them in for NI, I think he would do a job for us.

04 Jul 2018 07:39:13
Listening to some guys saying Lafferty is better than Morelos and probably agree he is? Although I probably would like to see the 2 of them together up top🇬🇧

04 Jul 2018 07:58:14
Could be a genuine family issue to be fair as his missus is quite heavily pregnant. However, I'd quite like to see him back, not as no1 striker but as a back up. Far better than anyone we had as back up last year ie Cummings, herrera.

04 Jul 2018 08:22:37
Deanobear it's far too early to be on the Buckie.

If u r a real rangers fan think back to the three titles in four we won when he was there! Admittedly he was a slow starter. the love of the team and family pressures meant that badge wore heavy on him, but he came round and scored some VITAL goals for us. At one point he was winning games single handedly for us so before u criticise think back bud.

04 Jul 2018 09:00:05
Hearts would demand an inflated fee for him so no thanks. i'm a big fan of lafferty but would rather see us think out the box than continue to go back to ex players constantly.
I think morelos will be staying. If he goes then we NEED to use the money we get to strengthen with a proven goalscorer similarly to how we picked up morelos.

04 Jul 2018 10:25:02
I agree DLOYAL but given that it's SG's first season and the worst thing possible is getting close, I think the thinking is going to lean more towards tried and tested as opposed to gambles like Morelos. I like him and think he will be a quality striker in a year or two but coming from the Finnish league was a bit of a punt. Laff scored some decent goals last season and pitched in with his usual crazy workrate which I think a lot of folk take for granted. . plus u see the way he talks to Harry Cochrane and the other youngsters on the park, I think he could be good for Zak ridden, Middleton and maybe even young Alfredo.

04 Jul 2018 11:57:25
Deanobear don't agree re Laff but we all have our opinions
Im the same with Morelos happily see him gone but that opinion isn't widely supported on here and that's fine it's my opinion as is yours on Lafferty

Rumours rossiters injured again, was seen at todays game in an ankle brace that's why he didn't feature in either half. anybody heard anything.

03 Jul 2018 18:04:58
Not heard anything but could quite believe it.

03 Jul 2018 18:11:39
A think it will be a good crowed on Friday a wonder how many tickets have been sold can't wait for it let's go love this club

03 Jul 2018 18:16:16
Only a matter of time before he got injured again.

03 Jul 2018 18:51:04
Smudge a just watched McAllister interview and he said over 30k sold for it already, quite incredible for a friendly against Bury I wonder if it will be sell out

03 Jul 2018 18:58:52
Rossiter went over on his ankle at training yesterday got a protective boot on and waiting on scan
That's what I've read online hope its not bad, boy deserves a bit of Good luck for a change

03 Jul 2018 19:04:54
If Rossiter is going to be injured again then serious money needs to be spent on a quality midfield player. Jack is not match fit, Dorrans injured, next thing people will want Holt brought back from loan, (and we are not going to win leagues if that is the quality of player we are deploying!

03 Jul 2018 19:28:59
Tomusa a do think every player from last season will be a lot fitter and everybody will be wanting in the first team so yes exciting times and am sure Steven Gerrard won't know his best 11 will be but things will be good

03 Jul 2018 20:00:49
Smodge81, yes, I am sure that the majority of the players will be fitter than they were last year but their is a difference in fitness and quality and players like Holt, Halliday, Hodson etc., are simply no where near the quality that we need. I am encouraged by the signings of Arfield, Goldson, Flanagan and Katic but for me we are still at least two quality players short if we are to have any chance of the league

03 Jul 2018 20:03:10
Jack is not good enough and unfortunately rossiter is always going to be injured! We need to strengthen central midfield area!

03 Jul 2018 20:14:15
RonnieR9 I'd like to remind you that That was his
1st 45 min this Year so please be patient with him

03 Jul 2018 20:35:49
Am not talking about holt Halliday or hodson but the first 11 last season candeias windass morales docherty the rest a do think we need to get a few strikers in to but time will tell on who is off and who's coming in is there anymore news on the sadiq lad bears

03 Jul 2018 22:27:59
My patience has run out with us being outfought, overrun and technically outplayed in midfield too many times last season and before. The like of Celtic will be rubbing their hands if our midfield consists of rossiter, jack or Dorrans next season! We need far better quality in that area!

03 Jul 2018 22:31:37
Patience guys, remember one thing Mark Allen said
transfer window closes end of August!

04 Jul 2018 09:01:22
The last I had heard it was approaching 40k already. I think it will be upwards of 40k on Friday.

04 Jul 2018 13:03:17
RonnieR69, you mean like Arfield, McCrorie, Docherty etc?

04 Jul 2018 13:26:27
McAllister said 30,000 so far

04 Jul 2018 17:16:36
The thing with Rossiter is, how long do you put up with him always being injured? Where do you draw the line? I would love if it was just a simple we niggle but it seems he gets injured as soon as he exerts any sort of energy, whether that's training or a game. I like the look of him and he does look like he could be a cracking player. There's no point in having a really good player that only plays 11 games in 2 years due to injury. Also everyone keeps saying we need a better midfielder, then list the players we have but most people don't mention Arfield being in the team surely he is a good signing no? Yeah I would agree we probably still need some quality but I don't think it's all that bad at the moment.

04 Jul 2018 18:12:20
Duty calls even with the players you mention it still isn’t good enough to challenge that other lot!

03 Jul 2018 17:07:24
New home kit to be unveiled on friday at the bury game. Should put a few minds at restđź‘Ť.

03 Jul 2018 12:39:01
Has anyone got an idea as to when coulibaly and sadiq will be signed?

03 Jul 2018 12:46:50
Must be admitted both of them are dragging on much more than expected. It was anticipated to be done last week but no sign yet of progress yet and neither of them have traveled to Glasgow for talks far as we know.

03 Jul 2018 13:05:11
pending work permits.

03 Jul 2018 13:06:03
There just waiting for the work permits to be sorted then they will fly over

03 Jul 2018 13:14:10
I remember it was the exact same with Pena and Herrera last season, they required work permits and it took what felt like an eternity to get the deals over the line.

03 Jul 2018 13:25:44
Think both are waiting on the work permit being granted.

03 Jul 2018 14:08:41
I thought the lad Sadiq had married his Italian girlfriend which would eradicate the work permit situation? am i wrong?

03 Jul 2018 15:17:25
2 players had medicals in Edinburgh on Friday. A friend works at the private hospital they attended. She, quite rightly, refused to say who they were. I’m assuming it’s these 2 tho.

03 Jul 2018 19:09:12
Neither can start "work" until the permits are granted. That's the likely reason neither are officially with us yet. I believe Friday is the official deadline for registering players for the Europa league but every team is allowed to register one extra player up until the day before the match.

04 Jul 2018 09:02:20
I don't get where the disagree can be for saying there are pending work permits. Like this is widely reported as fact.

04 Jul 2018 13:23:53
Big j70. This is correct re medical.
