Preston's Daniel Johnson remains a target and it is understood sporting director Ross Wilson is working on a late swoop.
Ibrox chiefs also expect no major departures - meaning Lille target Alfredo Morelos is set to remain in Glasgow.
I would agree that (it needs to be someone who will come straight into the team, not a squad man) . I think if there was anything going to happen it would have to be a player who was close to coming right into the first team.
Ross is in complete charge of that and over the piece since we've been here, we have always been able to show a bit of imagination to create a deal and make something happen.

I think Johnson is still a target but not for what PNE want which I believe is between 3m and 4m. Bad business if you ask me when we can get him on a pre contract in Jan so I don't see us signing him this window but he wasn't in their squad again today.

@tomthumb only reiterating what their manager has commented regarding the Johnson. A lot of clubs won’t let a player go (especially if that player is important to them) without having a replacement.

Moc how can u say we don't need a player like Johnson? The one thing we are really missing is a goal scoring midfielder.
Hagi and arfield won't score us anything like what Christie, MacGregor etc will score.
I like itten and roofe but I don't think they'll be prolific.
As a middle of the road-ish championship team his assists and goals are exactly what we could do with. No one is saying he's a world beater but the stats don't lie.

I hope your right coldo but Forrest, Christie and MacGregor are getting a minimum of double figures each. Sometimes close to 20 goals. We do not have that and I hope bit don't think arfield will get 15-20 goals. Trust me I hope I'm wrong but Johnson will come in Jan I think and I think he'll be double figure scoring midfielder.

Steven Gerrard says this evening that glen kamara will be offered a bumper new contract to stay at rangers. He states that there's no chance of kamara leaving just now and that he can assure our supporters,
kamara won't be going to anderlecht. Its a terrific move to offer kamara a new contract as he deserves it 👍 He's a terrific, very talented midfielder indeed 👌.

Aa Gerrard said if you impress him and play, train well then you will be rewarded. I agree that kamara has shown this season why he was bought in the first place and been excellent and deserves a new improved contract. He's still young and learning and getting better and undoubtedly will make us a great deal of money in the future when he moves on to a richer club in a bigger league.
