Change of subject now fellow bears. Lets get away from a the doom and gloom.

Whats your thoughts on Euro 2012? Who do you think will win and who do you think will be top goalscorer?

£30 on Huntelaar for top goalscorer at 14's. Banged the goals in in the German league last season and I think he was top goalscorer. Certainly worth a punt (ed 039 note - There is a talk euro 2012 page guys)

Also got a wee 5er punt on Jelavic for top goalscorer at 40's.....you never know :P.

TTG {Ed039's Note -

Believable4 Unbelievable5

Best of luck mate, but according to the pundits, Huntelar won't start, it will be Van P and Robin, so i don't think he'll be top scorer, although he is a player.
I watched them v N.Ireland, and Huntelar only got the last 10, and they reckoned that Holland played their starting line up for the Euros.

Agree0 Disagree0

TTG, I am having a bet on Benzema (France) at 16/1, I also think Russia will go far maybe to semis or even final..
be careful with bets on Italy, I think they will get knocked out in group stages, like France did at World cup..
Sorry also TTG, Croatia are a poor team and will struggle to score goals...Timalloy

Agree0 Disagree0

Germany holland Spain France in semi finals Germany winners R.O.I will do well but qf is the're limit

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree Russia will do will so see Pavlyuchenko as a decent bet for TGS at 6/1.

Agree0 Disagree0

I fancy germany to lift the trophy with gonez being the top scorer but the odds are poor,3-1 germany but i havent checked out gomez price yet.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well I suppose its the only way you Hector Fans will get a bet on any European matches..... You certainly won't be able to bet on Rangers in europe for a number of years, most likely the next four.

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't care! Just as long as it isn't England I don't care who wins!

Agree0 Disagree0

Whats with the ridiculous hector comment? Do some morons just wake up and first thing that springs to mind is get on rangers rumours and have a dig? sad sad existence. why not just give a sensible answer to the original post? I m going with germany to win. prob benzema top scorer.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ronaldo,Portugal could surprise a few teams and I think they will progress through from the `group of death`

Agree0 Disagree0

I have got France in my works sweep its the only team playing in red white n blue that I can see winning anything for a while.

Agree0 Disagree0

Van persie is Dutch number 1 striker and jelavic ain't going get a game.

Agree0 Disagree0

Germany for me, Benzema top scorer, Germany v Spain final, Russia to win Group A.......best bets

Has anyone got any inclination of how the CVA may go? {Ed039's Note - There are so many creditors there is no way to tell)

Believable0 Unbelievable14

I reckon the only creditor that matters is HMRC and no way will they accept this proposed mishmash of a CVA.

And I don't believe D&P think it will be accepted either. Oh, and while I'm at it, I don't fancy D&P's chances of being kept on as liquidators either. Sorry guys but I am very pessimistic on this. BB

Agree0 Disagree0

HMRC will kill the CVA.
It's their policy. If they vote for this sham everybody would do the same thing.
Green,D&P know this. This is all about running up fees and getting assets on the cheap.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed...it doesn't matter how many creditors there is, as long as there is enough to account for 75% of the money owed, not 75% of the creditors remember.
It's only HMRC & Ticketus who would need to agree, and if ticketus loan is bombed out, only HMRC would probably be enough. {Ed039's Note - 50% of creditors and 75% of the cash debt must agree to be successful)

Agree0 Disagree0

Only 2 matter ed! HMRC & Ticketus. If HMRC take a CVA of pence in the pound for unpaid paye I'll be stunned! 19 or 1.9 million is peanuts in the big HMRC scheme of things but the principal at stake may be worth 100's of millions if they let rfc away with it. Why would any struggling business pay it's taxes if it's knows HMRC will take a CVA at a later date? As for Ticketus they are in as deep as CW so whatever their long game is the CVA isn't the end but meet the start!
FYI - the big tax case verdict will be delivered after the outcome of this CVA so it's all irrelevant really! Greens going to steal your assets and there's not a blue nose with the money or balls to stop him! Unlucky.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed is wrong, 75% of debt owed must agree. HMRC and Ticketus cover this and were consulted without obligation as to whether the proposals were worth presenting to all creditors as CVA. By this tacit approval, the largest creditors, over 75% of debt, are hinting at thier probable acceptance that this is the best option open to them in terms of successful recovery of monies owed.
They may be hoping for a succesful outcome to the Collyer Bristol lawsuit which would swell the creditors pot by around £27 million. {Ed039's Note - See my other note, 75% of debt and 50% of creditors must agree)

Agree0 Disagree0

Good to see that the HMRCs 'little people' on the outside are letting us know how the HMRC will go on the CVA.

Worry about yer ain middens!!

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't understand the reference to 50% of the creditors, the number of creditors who agree/disagree is irrelevant.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed is completely wrong again!

6th June mentioned in the CVA
In the Notes on Page 38:-

9. Anticipated Administration trading shortfall as at 6 June 2012. In a Liquidation scenario it is likely that the the cessation of trade date would be after 6 June 2012 but for comparison purposes it has been assumed as this date.
Also has Green appointed formally to assist, for no fee and at no cost to D&P or Rangers, with the day-to-day management of the company.
Has to be a miss print on the date as how is this in the creditors best interests 8days before they get to vote? If it is the wrong date then would you not think what other figures are wrong in the CVA?

Agree0 Disagree0

The CVA proposal requires 75% approval of the voting creditors once this is done there is a meeting of shareholders where only 50% vote in favour is required.

Agree0 Disagree0

The cva is never going to happen but liquidation most certainly will then FIFA will wade in with the false registrations and Rangers as we know them will be finished, Murray must certainly lose his knighthood and criminal proceedings brought against him and former directors, that's what happened with Neuchatel Xamax, I'm sure some of their board members received jail terms.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers Shareholders meeting has been called for 1pm next Thursday.

Creditors meeting is at 10 am earlier that morning.

BB

Agree0 Disagree0

Only 2 creditors count - hmrc & ticketus who have more than 80% of vote between them. .
it only takes 1 of them to vote against cva for it to fail. discuss

hi ed, can you confirm the rumour that sason tckt renewals are coming out next week ?? {Ed039's Note - There is something happening soon as the close season shortfall needs to be financed)

Believable5 Unbelievable7

Hmm to buy or not to buy that is the question

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi Ed, tell me this, what happens if i pay my 3 season tickets and then we're liquidated, how will that work is out money lost?
Dont get me wrong a want to pay my tickets but i dont want to pay it then its lost to who ever gets it lol {Ed039's Note - Honestly I don't know mate, it's something you should look into but my gut feeling is you would lose the money or your season ticket would transfer to any newco depending on how it pans out)

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont see how they can until the situation
is resolved. What division will we be in?

My tickets cost £1000 each with all games covered, this year no Europe, SPL
or Div 3, possibly no cup, possibly newco if CVA not accepted. How can they ask somebody to buy something when we dont know what we are buying. You dont buy a car and take lucky dip, perhaps if lucky you get a Porsche if not maybe a Kia.

Not sure if even legal to sell something when you dont know if you will still be in business.

Agree0 Disagree0

How can they even think about sending renewals when they dont even know whats happening as the other post said ,it would be like a lucky dip. Also if the CVA money is a loan to be paid back by 2020 what is Green doing apart from given a loan and then we pay it back but he owns us after we have paid for it with our money,i for one think the whole thing sucks and has being planned for Green to come in ,if he wants the club then he should pay for it and forget all this loans stuff as it seems a big cover up and con tactic again

Agree0 Disagree0

Charles green is in this for a fast buck, he wants to use season ticket money to run the club. This is rather than put his own cash in. It seems the only people coughing up are the fans, yet he proposes to buy Rangers for £200,000 give the club a loan of 8.3 million and then charge 9% APR (al Capone rates). He cant even guarantee which league if any rangers will be playing in next year.

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe the bigger picture is the survival of your club. Can not see how boycotting purchasing ST's is going to be helpful to that objective.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd keep my money in my pocket, mate.Too many ifs and buts.We don't know what division we'll be playing in,if we're playing at all.
Don't think D&P can sell STs anyway.Anyone who bought one would become a creditor if club liquidates.D&P could be held liable.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm buying a Queens Park season ticket this year, come and join a decent club with some history rather than the possibility of a club with no history and no league.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think all Rangers fans should pay up now for their season tickets, Ok they might not get to see football next season but it will keep the ground staff in wages for a few months. and then when it all goes t!ts up then they will get an idea of how all the other creditors feel, Go on you'se are the people.

Agree0 Disagree0

Do not touch ST`s with a barge pole . Green will rip you off! He is another Whyte - a venture capitalist who only cares about money . Ask yourself one simple question Why does green want to buy rangers ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Only an idiot would sign over several hundred quid to a company that's in liquidation. Is this how they think they will meet the current wage demands ?

Agree0 Disagree0

To I think all Rangers fans I am unemployed and I have to borrow money for my season ticket I am sorry but I will have to look after myself because I just can't afford to do anything else now but watch the odd game when I can.
