David Murray is what I'm hearing re investment. He's just sold land in Edinburgh for over £1bn and will be pumping money in. That's Monday's announcement. Souness apparently going onto board as well.

2 different sources.

One from inside Ibrox and ones a heavily connected ex player/ manager. Both stories the same.

🤞.

05 May 2018 18:30:43
I know he sold his villa for 1.1 million
I’m hoping it’s more along the lines of Mccoll and Souter and Walker like a few others mentioned
No word on Murray selling land for that price
Like I said just his villa which is in Edinburgh 1.1 million

05 May 2018 18:42:55
Game of thrones where did you read that he sold land for 1 billion, his networth is about 180 million. hope your right tho

05 May 2018 18:52:57
Didn’t read it. Was told. Area for 6000 Homes etc. Over £1Bn. Google it. David Murray Edinburgh

05 May 2018 18:56:36
Murray has 2 large plots of land in west Edinburgh. 1 is going to be housing, the other is still for sale beside the airport.

05 May 2018 18:57:05
I find it hard to believe that Murray is going to invest in Rangers as there is bad blood between him and King. Unless, Murray is going to buy out King.

05 May 2018 19:03:49
Come back on after Monday and let me know your thoughts.

05 May 2018 19:15:43
David murray and anne coag is the names i heard both have just done a big land deal

05 May 2018 19:27:34
Game of thrones/ Marco C David Murrays family business will create a housing site which will be valued at £450M when finished. Point 1 it is a FAMILY business and Point 2 who is going to purchase land near an airport for £550M? He does not have the £1Bn as reported above. The figures quoted are speculation.

05 May 2018 19:31:28
He sold the Torrance land he was planning to build golf course hotel and other stuff on near eaurocentral building houses there but not edinburgh

05 May 2018 19:45:18
Well if true then a welcome it

05 May 2018 20:10:35
Don’t shoot the messenger. I’ll be back on Monday. As you were.

05 May 2018 20:14:54
Bluetoon. The land next to the airport is all part of a much larger project with the land surrounding it. He also has the urban garden land which goes from baberton all the way out to Glasgow road where he already has housing plans approved. I Will pass the airport shortly and will post a photo of the sign with his name on it.

05 May 2018 20:15:48
Also I never have any figures, only facts on land that he owns in west Edinburgh.

05 May 2018 21:05:32
Lads as I say I’m just passing on info and I’m doing it on my own. No bollocks. This is legit info from 2 great sources that tally independently. I just hope like the genuine rest of us that it’s true. Speak again Monday with no recognition that I broke the news!

05 May 2018 22:50:21
interested party

Edinburghs Garden District - Murray Estates

That's the figures and a bit of a scandal when they were given permission to build on greenbelt land

but can't see that he's sold it - just ME controls the lands

05 May 2018 23:32:05
What a load of shxx people are talking suddenly youse are going to get everyone investing and Gerard's the new messia even though he's only been promised £10m what a joke

06 May 2018 01:39:09
The only way Murray will get back into Rangers is if he gives King 20million + interest in his back pocket + another some of investment. Souness will not be on the board

06 May 2018 03:11:28
I don't want David Murray near the club again

06 May 2018 05:40:43
If David murray wants back in I'll welcome the man. But 1 billion for land? . Stop sniffing glue . or maybe tipex out a 10p biker bag. Sir David murray tried to do his best with us. It didn't work. Our own chairman lost 30million so calm down. Gerard needs 5 quality players and if David murray helps then let him help. Few beers lads so sorry about the rant lol.

06 May 2018 07:33:28
I heard about a year ago the David Murrey wanted to try and make amends for what has happened and put a lot of money into Rangers but when nothing happened I thought it was just crap.

06 May 2018 08:17:23
Not here to pish on anybody chips but it show you the kind of country we live in when a man like Murray can walk away leaving hundreds of millions of pounds of debt. Yet can still cherry pick the profitable bit of his company to buy at knock down price whilst us the tax payer pick up Sir David tab. Here ends the party political broadcast 😂

06 May 2018 09:08:34
Hundreds of millions of debt, behave yourself.

06 May 2018 09:35:48
Big rfc who is anne coag? can't fond her name anywhere?

06 May 2018 09:44:00
Anne Boag is the co founder of Stagecoach - her and her brother are minted and do loads for charity. Was a bit of a scandle as Stagecoach tried to avoid paying tax - not illegal but frowned upon.

They certainly have the money and are philanthropists but it would need to be a donation as we simply don't have the cash in Scottish Football.

Celtics pretax profits in 2016 were £18m - how can you "invest" 25m, run the club and get a return.

not saying its not true - just doesn't make sense financially. unless some people want to "dontate" money not to see a return on it.

All I am saying, remember what got you guys here in the first place.

06 May 2018 09:58:22
Ed Can I at least get recognition for most replied to post.

MURRAY MONDAY IS UPON US CELTIC TROLLS!

What will you do with your spare time when we are back?

06 May 2018 10:37:54
Does my head in that supposedly people from inside ibrox and ex players and managers keep spouting out what his happening. I enjoy the rumours page and the banter of it. But when proper info is being told by people in a position of trust then for me that’s out of order. I like the chat of what players etc we might go for and get. But when someone from inside the club is leaking information to the public about private matters, then that person can go imo

06 May 2018 11:34:24
Ann Gloag is the businesswoman being referred to, founding partner of Stagecoach along with her brother Brian Souter. Extremely wealthy woman and clearly a shrewd operator but why she would want into football I have no idea!

06 May 2018 12:35:24
The DM land deal seems to have 675 acres so based upon a reasonable price per acre of £50k is roughly £34m if he sold the land. Even if the land was worth 3 times what I suggest this is still less than £100m. The £1bn probably represents the overal investment to develop the site of which DM would only return the profit once developed and sold so say 10% on £1bn is would be £100m and not realised until Years from now.

This suggests that he could liquidate the assets if he planned to invest but it is no where near £1bn

While I think there is definitely something happening it is no where near the figures being touted

06 May 2018 20:17:33
Hondaintrgra
Murray International where liquidated with debts of over £800m
So the prosecution rest

05 May 2018 17:07:08
Anybody heard anything about Joe Allen possibly on his way? Stoke relegated 2day. Heard it 2day unsure how reliable the source is to be honest so seeing if anybody on here had heard? . Also that was another tough watch 2day. thank god cummings heading back to Forest. Much needed 3 points tho.

05 May 2018 18:07:47
I think it all depends on what investment we get. If it’s £10m then no chance, if it’s £30m then yeah I think we’ve got a chance. He’d be outstanding if we did get him

05 May 2018 19:51:41
Most of the rumours are with him going to them.

05 May 2018 20:50:53
Joe Allen is Brendan's special gimp toy, so that seems unlikely.

06 May 2018 15:21:08
Given wolves and Newcastle are set to both bid 20mil on him I'm not so sure he'll come to Scotland

05 May 2018 14:52:52
JIM McColl and others, but not dk, will be our new investors. One of the others is someone very close to Stevie Gerrard and Scottish.

05 May 2018 15:48:49
All the chat at the game today is . Mccoll Billy walkers son and Brian souter are our new investors. I suppose we will find out on monday.

05 May 2018 18:12:30
I've heard a wee rumour it might be Brian Kennedy.

05 May 2018 18:55:55
At corporate today, few very informed people saying Brian Kennedy one of the investors, Souness non exec director

06 May 2018 10:37:26
I heard Brian Kennedy is willing to invest but only if dk steps aside. All rumours at the moment

05 May 2018 14:16:41
Dave king now holding up investment, he's got 12million now to invest however, three pronged investment from stagecoach owner, Jim mccoll and American, on the proviso king and co go, king put in 8 million wants 16 to go, from a very reliable source . same one I confirmed Stevie G and Gary mac, thanks for saving us Dave however time to move on .

05 May 2018 14:38:15
I have no isnide information or sources but I can't imagine that King has put any of his own money into our club nevermind £8m.

05 May 2018 14:47:44
Jim McColl and A. N. Other [ JG. ], with input from dm will supply the funding, and dk will be out.

05 May 2018 15:14:57
Jim Mccoll and Billy walker in hearing

05 May 2018 19:27:49
I’ve heard also King will go, can’t find share issue. He’s the next out.

06 May 2018 01:01:45
Met him in lift at ibrox at kil game . thank him and said well done but he appeared very very nervous . but the boys says that is his normal demeanour . but whatever . he has pulled a master stroke with Stevie

05 May 2018 12:54:20
Anybody have and 'contacts' or 'sources' that could find out if Stevie will make an appearance today?

05 May 2018 12:59:44
He has other commitments including Liverpool under 18’s this weekend so he will probably be back in liverpool

05 May 2018 13:05:12
No sources at all however I’d imagine that he’ll either be paraded at 2.55pm or a message on the big screens. I hope it’s the former! Heading over to Ibrox now, enjoy the match today fellow bears 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

05 May 2018 13:26:27
He said he has commitments to Liverpool academy and BT sports. and won’t start at rangers till June 1st . maybe Mcallister might be their watching though

05 May 2018 13:31:02
Defo won't be at the game today. Gone back to Liverpool

05 May 2018 14:04:46
Said in almost every interview that he has TV and Coaching commitments and won't be involved until June 1st.

05 May 2018 14:35:00
Any idea what channels might have a game on today?

05 May 2018 01:03:37
Absolutly buzzin with this appointment. Wasnt impressed by warburton or pedro. Must admit i was in the give murty a chance boat but seeing the staunchness ripping out of steve gerrard, the gravitas. what an absolute legend. A leader. A man moutain. Handled himself impecably well. To be honest i blindly renewed my season ticket but my reward is a born winner leading the team that i love. Also rumours of investment. Does this mean the banter years are over and we can put them behind us and look forward now to a future that's bright a future that's orange!

05 May 2018 08:18:37
Well said Chris, I think we will now attract players who we would not have before. And if we have some budget and get organised then the future bodes well. C'mon the Gers!

05 May 2018 10:01:57
Totally agree mate, SG seems ready for the challenge ahead. As Dave King said the exposure worldwide will be massive. Let's remember he worked with Brenda for 3 years as his captain. Gerrard will know abit about his tactics, training etc. I'm prepared to give SG time and support as I'm sick of new manager every year. This feels right. LET'S GO

05 May 2018 11:06:39
Chris that comment means so much to 50,000 blue noses
Steven Gerrard we wellcome him in to our club let's put the past behind us and remember lads thay are only winning everything is because we are getting bak to our feet let's see how good that are now because we the rangers we the people we are back

05 May 2018 11:16:08
Totally agree - was absolutely buzzing yesterday. His presser was flawless. He just gets it. The exposure yesterday was superb - all the national news carried the story. May need time, but I for one will give it as this is the most positive I've felt in years.

05 May 2018 11:59:26
Its wonderful to feel like this again, I don't mind saying I was close to tears when I saw him in a Rangers scarf in front of the fans who made over to the stadium.

At this moment it feels like something has changed. This appointment has real promise, real potential.

I hope we all give him, and the board for that matter, the chance and time to get this right. We can not afford to be impatient.

05 May 2018 12:14:36
It's definitely exciting troops
