Are Rangers supporters worried by the rumours of a winding up order. Alex Thomson of channel 4 news has published another article today naming a company from Singapore called orlit as the petioners they claim THE RANGERS owe them £400000 and despite numerous reminders can't get paid. Also why is it now the only time we can get a serious piece of sports journalism about Rangers is when its done by an english war correspondent what are our own sports journalists doing its certainly not their job.

Thought we were "debt free"?

Agree3 Disagree2

Looks like the threat of winding up order is true. jim trayner said not to worry amount insignifant. but what about the embarresment. for pitys sake cg tell us the truth last week we were debt free this week we owe 400000 pounds. a few months ago we were to buy umpteen european class players look what we got. where are the three billionare investors. please please please feed us a diet of the truth. its our only hope. stop gilding the lily. we can take it. we are the rangers.

Serious pieces of journalism don't happen in scottish football. i'm surprised Alex thomson never investigated why celtic never fulfilled their promise to issue life bans to those who disgraced our country by mocking the poppy.

Nothing in the Singapore press about this. Rangers story is usualy well covered over here. Thompson is a bag who hates us another nothing made up story. WATP

Agree1 Disagree6

Herald also covers this.

So everyone who criticiced murray hated us then the same with white. now anyone who asks questions aout green is arangers hater. what chance have we got.

Agree3 Disagree0

@4 "made up story" - eh? The RFC press release basically confirms the story.

Agree4 Disagree1

400k is an insignificant amount if you have no cash flow problems, having cashflow problems in Jan-Feb equates to a loss making business model. Obviously all is not well behind the scenes and as usual the sucker fans are the last to know. There is a certain deja-vu coincidence about players going off the boil and financial whispers. You can bet your last dime season tickets will rocket next year, pay up or else.

Agree0 Disagree0

Made uop story the herald and the tv also running with the story. Today the tv have said that "despite claims from the club no agreement has been reached and if no agreement is reached then the winding up order will be served in seven to 10 days". I wonder why rangers have not released anything regarding this the silence is deafening. c'mon charles tell us what the **** is going on. Wheres all this transparency you keep on telling us about? were not all walking about with our heads up your arses.

Agree2 Disagree1

In short, I am more and more losing confidence in Green. Why did he push through a share deal so close to Christmas? Why did he declare it a great success when he got significantly less than he claimed he would? Why isn't he telling us the full truth about this story which, let's be crystal clear, is NOT made up!

Mr Green needs to stop the ludicrous "everyone hates us" soundbites and get down to real honesty - What financial situation are Rangers really in and are we running at a loss! {The Ed039's Note - He has already stated that Rangers are running at a loss)

Agree2 Disagree0

If club is losing money and there is no credit facility, who covers the loss? If a £400k bill from normal trading can't be paid this is very worrying. No cash flow = going bust again. Who got the IPO money however much it was? No audited accounts due till some time next year. This is not good enough. Answers now Mr Green!

Agree1 Disagree0

The so called sports journalists are deliberately saying nothing as always, they are only interested in feeding us fodder, surely the so called £22 million raised in January could easily pay this debt off,

Agree2 Disagree0

One very simple question to ask CG. Can you show us evidence of the £22million?
Bet you won't get a straight answer.

Agree2 Disagree0

It seems to be one thing after another all the rangers fans want is a bit of honesty
thank you

Why do you all even bite at such drivel. People run these stories trying to sensationalise trivial details to promote themselves and their own failing journalistic careers. As evidenced by the statement released vy RFC in response to this, Rangers believed the company had submitted false receipts and overcharged them and were liaising with them and have came to a settlement, a figure lower than the original £400k they claimed. Please tell me what is bad about this, as far as I can see it is people acting in the interests of our club. All Alex Thomson has done so far is to jump on the rangerstaxcase blog bandwagon and look how that blew up in his face.

Agree0 Disagree1

"serious bit of journalism", on what, a none story, no winding up order in any court, try harder silly obssesed!

Just got in from work and mate has text about some nonsense (hope) about soem group issueing a winding up order. Orlit Enteprises?/or some thing when looked into further read this crap. which is also in realtion to them?
keen readers will have noticed that another one of the companies where Mr Chan Fook Meng is listed as having an interest is Tricor PLC.

Tricor PLC, at least in 2011, was represented and advised by Allenby Capital, and in particular by Brian Stockbridge, now of course one of the executive directors of RIFC PLC.
You can see Allenby and Mr Stockbridge mentioned in this Stock Exchange announcement from 2011.

Back in May 2012, when Mr Green emerged publicly, there were rumours that the acquisition of the football club would be by a combination of Tricor, Mr Green, Mr Chan and Nazim Khan.

Mr Khan, as well as being one of the consortium, it was alleged, is also a director of Tricor.

It definitely looks as if there has been a serious falling out between old friends, doesn't it?
Anyone any wiser about this?

Tricolor? haha

Seriously though, you couldn't write this sh*t lol

All I can say is there's no smoke without fire. Remember a few weeks back Kilmarnock were served a winding up order over an unpaid bill and they're chairman was trying his best to tell everyone its a misunderstanding and it will be sorted no problem, I can tell you Kilmarnock are in a precarious position for a fact and everything is far from rosy. The same could apply here.
