Heard this tonight wanted to know if anyone heard this before and if any truth to it.

Heard this before, it would make since to keep his involvement on the Q. T.
There’s many bears far from happy with him.
I grew up in the 80’s and seen my club grow in ambition with a series of exciting players wearing the red, white and blue. I seen our stadium improved and a new state of the art training facility erected, 9 in a row and some big nights in Europe.
The way it ended for him was horrible, was it a reckless exit? probably but if he wants to try and help us out financially I’d be delighted to take his money!

I am not going to go down the usual route of such and such told me this as I will be shot down in flames.

What I heard is, the day King announced share issue that could raise £6m (7th May. few days after Gerrard was announced) he was actually supposed to announce £30m+ of investment (to support Gerrard rebuilding the squad) .
On the morning of the press conference, King received a call from the person organising the investors telling him that he could make no announcement as the money and the investors had to remain hush hush or the tax man would be sniffing about them. King had to say something at press conference so came out with the share issues, which he got slated for as it was minor news.

I took it with a pinch of salt but just passing on what I heard a couple of days after the press conference.

It would not surprise me if Gerrard deal is backed with Fenway though as he is next in line for Liverpool job (Klopp will be in charge for at least another 2-3years going by current plans I would think), Fenway will want Gerrard to have experience managing a big successful club with big expectations.

Windass is subject to a move to Ipswich and if true it has to be for at least 3m plus as there is a clause in his contract Rangers are probably to add a 20% on future fees as see Windass having a great season and easily being a 15m plus player

He will be phenomenal in the Championship No doubts!

The clause in the contract is only relevant if we were not looking to sell him. If someone was to bid £3mil we would have to let him talk to them. In this case we are actively looking to sell.

I know I'm in the minority but I'll be sorry to see Windass go, played in his natural position (10) he's scored some important goals last season. Where would we have finished if it wasn't for his goals? For those constantly slagging him, I bet you were still cheering when he scored against them at Ibrox in March? £3 million isn't really that much when you consider what Armstrong went for and the fact Fulham are bidding £9 million for Boyata.

Windass does not have a release clause in his contract. The Original release clause was for £1.5mil it was removed when he got his new contract.

Personally think Arfield would fit into attacking mid no problem and would likely be a lot more consistent, I like Windass and I like the fact he has a bit of speed about him and his goal contribution towards the end of the season was good but we have spent a good bit of cash sorting our defence and might be able to get a hidden gem with the cash from the sale of Windass.

Kaz I think you need to wake up, and if you think windass is worth anywhere near 15mil then you need to go back to the doc's and get your meds changed👍. Whether the market down south is crazy or not does not mean windass will be worth 15mil. He can't perform in the SPL, how you expect him to be a hit in the championship is a mystery, prob reaffirms why you should go back to the doc's for a meds review👍.

You see mate it’s pointless debating Windass with a lot of folk in our support, they just don’t like him and that’s it. He can do no right. We have a whipping boy every campaign and as long as Windass is here, he will always be that player.

The scary thing is Windass our preformed most players last season, and that’s fact that can be proven by his figures and stats. He was also the most influential attacking player in the full league last season.

The players last season were dross, just because he was the best of a bad bunch does not mean that he has potential or will come good. Just because he was top scorer in a team full of diddys last season does not qualify him as a quality player. He was a passenger against aberdeen and anyone with an eye could see he looked the player with the less quality in that Rangers team and when he came on against osijek at ibrox the tempo died. Windass will never be good enough. People need to understand this quickly👍.

There is not adoubt the guy has talent but he plays for 10 minutes a game, then for the remainder of the game you can’t see him anywhere, it’s like he just vanishes without trace.
