Waggy and Tav rejected new deals. reports Daily Mail. I don't believe this. How would they kno.

08 Jul 2016 18:57:27
Genuinely don't believe if these fuys were offered fair deals they would reject them for a second.

They had good not exceptional seasons in the scottish championship they couldn't possibly be so daft as to think with the players coming into the club thay they have proven anything at all yet. They would have to be deluded to think they can do better. yet.

08 Jul 2016 19:02:12
it1s true both have rejected extensions, so much for stating they were happy at gers and wanted to get honours. If I was warbs I would chase them both, we, ve got higdon and mc crorie and striker . pending Bye Bye.

08 Jul 2016 19:10:01
How do you know its true?

08 Jul 2016 19:17:56
I heard its true that they have both rejected new deals as they are apparently unhappy at the money some incoming players are on ie Barton and Kranjcar

Surprised to hear this tbh as I would have thought Warbs would have managed this well amongst his squad but seemingly not.

08 Jul 2016 19:23:25
Paper talk and fans jumping on the players already get a grip.

08 Jul 2016 20:18:13
It's on stv news as well now guys. Hopefully just holding out for more money! Really like the pair but they aren't the b all and end all if they want to move on then we'll thank them for there service and move on. Really just think they want more money tho.

08 Jul 2016 20:43:37
If they have rejected new deals which I don't believe is the case. But if so I would tell them both bring home the title this season then you can get your reward.

08 Jul 2016 20:51:30
The club will offer them what they feel they are worth and no more. Hopefully will be resolved soon.

08 Jul 2016 21:28:22
not convinced it is true but TBH they've done nothing yet to have merited a new deal do the damage in the too league then let's consider a new deal.

08 Jul 2016 21:54:09
What do they expect the likes of barton and krankjcar will always be on better money than them what ever club they played for they are bigger names bigger players that's just how it is! Also they were good last season but they were only in the championship they have a lot more to do and prove before they can start thinking of big money there jobs not even half done yet.

08 Jul 2016 22:09:59
Let's face it Waghorn scored most of his goals via penalties, was injured for a long spell and Tav got found out big time defensively in the last 1/ 4 of the season. These guys have got a lot to prove next season and maybe then they will be in a stronger position to merit an extension at the might Gers.

08 Jul 2016 22:51:44
Waggy and tav don't seem the type that would take the hump just because another player is on more money. Let them play a season in the top flight first see if they're worth it.

08 Jul 2016 23:57:58
If the story is true tell their agents to find them another club.
Rangers took them when no one else would so they should be grateful to the club. Waghorn is not a prolific striker as the papers try to make out many of his goals were penalties. Tav is ok going forward but as a defender he's poor. IMO they had no competition last season, now that is changing, they are crapping themselves in case they will be on the bench for long spells.

09 Jul 2016 03:27:57
People going against them sickens me waghorn will be a massive player this season waghorny horny horny horny.

09 Jul 2016 03:34:48
Absolute nonsense from you if waghorn never got injured he would have been Scotland's top scorer.

09 Jul 2016 06:07:02
WullieEGrfc, scoring statistics of Waghorn.
Total goals scored 28.
Penalties taken 16, scored 13 missed 3.
Goals in play 12
Last season playing championship teams now we're stepping up a league. If they do well in premier league then the club can offer a good deal but until then all this should be forgotten.
Everything about this story is IF that's why I used the word in my post, but if it's true, no player is bigger than the club.

09 Jul 2016 07:24:08
Does seem strange that we would offer new contracts to players who have yet to prove themselves at a higher level, there's a possibility that Teams down south are thinkin about makin a bid! I mean does anyone else think that this sounds strange? We've got them tied down until 2018 so this seems really strange.

09 Jul 2016 10:57:02
Mind that time the papers said Mw had rejected a contract extension. how did that work out?

09 Jul 2016 12:14:23
Makes me laugh how the "so called" Rangers fans on here are so quick to condemn their own team, players and board.

Are we really such a negative lot that prefers to criticise than to praise and show faith and belief?

Let the past be the past - the future is blue. get behind the team and players no matter what.

09 Jul 2016 13:18:52
How do we know it was them who rejected the contracts could have been there agents.

Also with todays contacts there are many things they could want changed, length, scoring bonus, win bonus etc.

Also do we actually know this is true. Paper talk.

09 Jul 2016 14:12:30
So many people in Scotland that dislike us and just waiting on any excuse! Some maybe still at the Club in the shape of our PR people.
For me this is a non story.

09 Jul 2016 16:09:17
What a load of nonsense Tom! Nobody likes us. boo hoo! 2 of your players have not accepted contracts most likely due to you paying a lot more for new arrivals. Likelyhood is that they are wanting to earn more cash, but doubt very much they will be looking for as much as Kranjar and Barton but may be looking at others such as Rossiter, Crooks ect and think that in comparison thier deal is not good enough. There was and still is plenty of coverage on Rogic, Johanson and others not signing contracts so stop with this nonsense that you are being picked on! Likelyhood is they will both soon accept contracts and are simply looking for better deals (as most footballers do)

08 Jul 2016 11:25:58
heard this from someone in academy at rangers.
samed yesil from Liverpool just released and fits mw criteria of developing young players. also same type set up as rossiter had at liverpool.

08 Jul 2016 14:29:31
Would like this to be true as i personally think we have scorers that will get a better level of service this season and therefore want a possible talent to develop as backup initially and then force his place as the season goes on. Yesil could fit that perfectly although he only became a free agent in the last week so probably wasn't on the radar before then.

08 Jul 2016 23:00:49
I understand this is true. They both have 2 years on their current deals. Both players made a significant and positive contribution in tier 2 Scottish football. Win the league this season and glad to offer them new and improved deal at end of the season. See no mention that we missed out on Europe this year due to a lackluster team performance in the cup final, a team that included both Players. As consequence we lost a financial opportunity this year.

08 Jul 2016 07:58:27
Cwood loyals latest stating we're in for Isaiah Brown from Chelsea on loan. Was out on loan at Vitesse last year and scored one goal. Strange one if true as we're not short of wingers and one goal in 24 appearances is nothing short of rotten for a CF. Might be able to kick on under the magic hat though.

08 Jul 2016 11:55:58
MW has said its unlikely there will be loan signings this season.

08 Jul 2016 23:04:57
Like all I'm looking forward to the Motherwell game in the Cup as I think Warbs will put out his strongest/ fittest team available BUT its the other two Lge cup games I'm really intruged by as I hope to see Walsh Hardie McCrorie and Thompson play amongst others over the two games. Got a feeling these will be intresting games and if we do get loans in can see Warbs using them also as we know he is not a fan of the timing of this group phase.

08 Jul 2016 07:54:31
First time poster guys. Been told be a source not to sure of reliability. The striker we are trying to sign is former QPR man Bobby Zamora.

08 Jul 2016 14:00:08
(Coughs) (hits 'BULL! ' button)

09 Jul 2016 14:51:01
Adam le fondre?

09 Jul 2016 15:50:44
We can do better than this, he's 35 and was OK at his very best.

Really don't think if we go for a journeyman it would be him.

08 Jul 2016 07:10:24
My source is telling me the new rangers striker is from the English championship a fee will be involved . The same source told me last week we wouldn't be signing the American defender. Which I posted . And the same source told me Barton would sign this was actually before he visited Murray park.

08 Jul 2016 08:38:41
Strong rumours now doing the rounds that the mystery striker we're looking to sign is the forest striker britt assombalonga, if this is the case and he's over his bad injury then this will be a cracking signing for us, his goals to games ratio is pretty good, this one is gathering pace, a fellow poster actually posted this last night, hope this one is true fellow bears.

08 Jul 2016 08:38:42
Barton didn't know he was going to sign until he seen ibrox, so unless your source is a psychic, I'm guessing your pants are on fire.

08 Jul 2016 09:28:07
Wasn't Barton at ibrox last year for the Burnley game?
I'm sure I areas an interview where he mentioned being impressed with the stadium back then.

08 Jul 2016 09:55:04
Mystic meg the same source told you last week the American wouldn't be signing .? Warbs has just decided not to offer him a contract yesterday.

08 Jul 2016 10:08:31
How would your 'source' know the american wouldn't sign he hadn't played a game until the other night.

08 Jul 2016 10:32:02
Maybe it's nicky afori or Sam winnall.

08 Jul 2016 10:39:15
Britt Assombalonga's current market value is 4.25 million. He also only signed for Forest in 2014 for £5 million which could rise to £8 million based on appearances (of which Watford will receive 50% due to sell-on clauses) . I can't see us being able to afford him. Would love it to be him though. He looks the part.

08 Jul 2016 10:51:03
I have spoken to my mate who is a season ticket holder at Forest re Britt Assombalonga just to get a fans thoughts on the guy. He reckons he is a fox in the box and would do very well in the SPL. Sorry it's not a comment to back up or refute this rumour. Just thought y'all might of liked a bit of background info on the guy from a fans perspective.

08 Jul 2016 12:20:46
Considering Forest knocked back 6.5m from Norwich for him kind of tells you that rumour is dead and buried.

08 Jul 2016 14:00:59
NaHki Wells Huddersfield Town.

08 Jul 2016 19:27:36
I truly would take nakhi wells at rangers in a heartbeat matt-rfc! Hope that he IS the mystery striker we're signing mate.

09 Jul 2016 15:45:02
How could he have told you last week that the American wouldn't sign? The guy would have been with Rangers 1 day a week ago and if they knew that early they weren't signing him why would they waste his and our time and then play him in the friendly?

Not saying he will sign but your last week statement about him doesn't add up.

And for that reason. I'm out.

07 Jul 2016 21:22:17
Will Grigg in talks with Frank Mcparland tonight Wigan want 2 mil which is the stumbling block and Warburton has signed a new deal.

08 Jul 2016 07:07:26
What source this coming from gatecrasher?
The gaffer is saying the striker (s) he is interested in hasn't been mentioned in the papers but I am open to the idea that this could be a double bluff to get the Grigg deal done under the radar. The gaffer was a city trader in a previous life so could be fond of a little white lie here and there.

09 Jul 2016 15:27:11
at this minute in time warburton has not signed a new deal but it will happen.

09 Jul 2016 15:00:44
Also heard Wigan are wanting a 30% sell on clause in the deal. Wigan fans site also saying pretty much as I am, some even saying its a done deal.
