well...another patsy bites the dust ....no 500k downer ..just a cheque popped into a trust account with the words return to sender on the envelope......thats not intent thats just a decoy ....if the newco had been initiated then whytees shares were worthless and im sure hes been told that and im also sure theres a deal been done for transfer of the shares ...waitn see......got a feeling kennedy aint finished yet....deecee

Believable9 Unbelievable30

Kennedy will have a nice new stadium for his rugby teams to play in. He might even lease it back to newco Rangers like he does with Stockports stadium.

Mac

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you all sure you all can cope with the fact a hibs fan is trying to save your club, seen lots of sectarian comments about bk over the last few weeks,

Agree0 Disagree0

I said weeks ago kennedy would be the best outcome i dont care what he is as long as hes got the cash thoughts fellow bears

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry to say that you are wrong DeeCee he owns Ibrox, a newco would be a 'club' without a stadium. It would need to rent from CW or share a ground with another club. Why on earth do some bears still believe that he is an irrelevance? Ask yourselves this _ Why are people still talking to him if he owns nothing and his shares would be worthless on the establishment of any newco. Why talk to him?

The media want the TBK to take over for obvious reasons. It has always been the same, scratch my back and i'll scratch yours.

Any other prospective buyer will be hounded out as no news from Ibrox won't be good for newspaper and phone in shows.

Right now Scottish football is at an all time low. No one in their right mind will buy a football club in this league. At the end of the day investors are in business to make money.

The unfortunate state of the club has been due to various circumstances but the majority of which is the fat cats who sit in the executive seats and slowly leech all things from the terrific fan base that is the supporting pillars of this institute.

To believe that TBK are new and not of the same character is to bury your head in the sand.

They will not be the knights in shining armour but yet another bunch of businessmen whom will draw every last penny from this club.

Believable19 Unbelievable11

The 'Blue Knights' have two chances of a successful takeover of Rangers; none and f%!* all.

They have nowhere near the amount of working capital to even begin to eat into Rangers' liabilities; and that's without the possible nuke of the big tax case.

Face it; it's over.

Rangers FC 1872: RIP.

Agree0 Disagree0

You have hit the nail on the head. I would also add that I believe the players, coaches and directors who are on EBT's drained the club of money and their collective greed has placed us in the position we are in today. Shame on the lot of them!

Agree0 Disagree0

Scottish football is not in an all time low. Killie, Celtic and Hearts or Hibs are winners it is Rangers who are in an all time low- of their own making!

Agree0 Disagree0

Nobody will be buying Rangers to make money, it is an old fashioned folly, one that can be restructured in time and offered to the fans at a reasonable price.

Ignore SDM-CW conspiracy theories, ignore CW-D&P conspiracy theories and ignore CW-Ticketus conspiracy theories, they are illogical and unfounded. TBKs stand between Rangers and certain liquidation, they will go newco-oldco or merge with Ticketus.

CW will not get 30 mllion for his shares in a million years, CW may get 26.7 million if he has a legally sound floating charge to pay back Ticketus, or he may not.

Anorak.

Agree0 Disagree0

Better the devil you know etc...deecee

Agree0 Disagree0

TBK don't have the necessary working capital, there is no hope of a CVA and the players contracts are unaffordable. This leaves only on solution liquidation and div 3 with a growth programme over five years. All other options are exhausted

Agree0 Disagree0

Re: whoever said "Scottish football is not at an all time low".

OK then please explain when the all time low really was, if not now

Agree0 Disagree0

To TBK don't have We need a ground to get into division three! We dont have one so we would need to rent or share.

jesus just got up for the night shift and heard miller has pulled out what the heck going on with our club i urgh ever rangers fans to stop snipping and support anybody who wants to help our club in this time need

a very upset bear

foogie boogie bear 1873

Believable26 Unbelievable15

God almighty! Why can't you guys wake the hell up?

What have people been telling you for months? It's over... accept it.

Rangers FC 1872 WILL die. Soon. The question now is what do we do next?

Stop wallowing in denial Rangers fans. The end is coming. And all of the wrong-doing, over decades, must be punished severely or our game becomes a laughing stock forever.

That's where we are. Snipe at me and hit me with 'timmy' and 'feinian' jibes all you want; your club will still die. I'm not writting this in glee; i'm stating the obvious and, unfortunately for Rangers fans, the inevitable.

Rangers FC 1872: RIP.

Agree0 Disagree0

Don'y worry the Scottish Rangers Press and TV (excepting Channel Four News)will tell you this is a very positive sign for the Club and that a buyer should clinch a deal before you can dry your eyes.

Agree0 Disagree0

Its not a dream so dinny scratch your ass and go back to bed - dry your eyes and get off to your work and remember its that that pays the rent.

Agree0 Disagree0

'Laughing stock forever' of SPL is guaranteed whatever happens from this day forth

Agree0 Disagree0

Rnagers fc 1972 might disappear but us true blue fans wont , rangers will rise again mark my words ,im 65 in september but gers have given me years of enjoyment since i first went to see them when i was 9 doug

Agree0 Disagree0

Howd ye know jesus works the nightshift
He in fact works 24 hours a day,.,.kbarry

Agree0 Disagree0

"Jesus Just Got Up for the Nightshift" sounds like a Mama & The Papas song.

On a serious note, I'm pretty gutted about Miller to say the least.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 May 2012 20:17:32
Seriously if Bill Miller walked away because of a banner then he would not have lasted 2 minutes in Glasgow with the media spotlight and scrutiny that goes on here. Looks to me like he was just a stalling tactic by D&P till BK/TBKs got their act together.

Miller would not have been able to fund any takeover and would likely be another Whyte taking us back to the same position in 8 or 9 months time. He never once said anything about working capital or how he would fund Rangers short to medium term.

Still time to save Rangers our demise has been predicted time and time again over the last 3 years and we are still alive.

We have £22m in season ticket money as a possible income over the next few months it's just a case of someone coming in and putting in 11m or so working capital in the short term.

This aint over yet by a long shot many more twist and truns to come.

Believable14 Unbelievable38

Losing intrest on Rangers as each day goes by. Better calling it quits and starting over again. Wont make any difference. Its a total farce.

Agree0 Disagree0

We have no TIME.
The endgame was always Liquidation.

Agree0 Disagree0

Nowhere near 22 mill in season tickets in the coming months pal. Whyte sold us down the river for 3 and a half years worth of season tickets which only equates to 24.4 mill or something so your 22 mill is way off. Infact way off would be closer than those figures. If we didn't need a hero before we do now.

Agree0 Disagree0

Remember Ticketus will try to take ticket money.

Agree0 Disagree0

The banners were in my opinion sponsored by TBKS. I was wondering why they pitched up at I brox at the weekend. To be seen as the fans choice. Surely we are not all that stupid.

Agree0 Disagree0

We have no ST money. We don't know if,never mind where,we'll be playing next season. If we're not liquidated then Ticketus deal will still probably stand. We have no short term funding and no guarantees. We will probably be in liquidation next week.

Agree0 Disagree0

What you talking about ticket season money?
Ticketus are taking the money for the season tickets for the next 3 years!
Haven't you been reading the news!
We have 0 income from season tickets!

Agree0 Disagree0

Or you could use that money to do the decent thing and pay your taxes. You're all so proud of Her Majesty. Why won't you contribute to her upkeep?

Agree0 Disagree0

To be honest with you mate, putting aside whether or not he would be able to survive in the hotseat, as a Rangers fan I feel pretty disgusted at the actions of a few, this was a guy who was willing to put his own cash on the table to try and find a solution and he was met with bile from disillusioned, moronic t**ts who probably don't understand the first thing about liquidation or the situation we're in, and I'm not talking about the banners I'm referring to the alleged hundreds of e-mails he received, and surely any Rangers fan with a shred of decency can see that's bang out of order. On another point to the OP and everyone else who keeps talking about the working capital and future investment, are you lot insane. If we emerge from this then we will never be ran again in a position where it relies on someone coming in and making a sustained investment every season just to meet operating costs, we will be ran as a business, within our means and self sufficient, this is the point of administration because we are not financially viable in the current state and never will be again, seriously is this not clear to everyone, especially Alistair Johnson coming out making his usual noises and stirring up even more people who just regurgitate his words without looking at the bigger picture.
Sorry for the rant people but truly got the feeling the last wee glimmer of light that we had for survival has just been doused and in part due to our own idiotic fans.
Jay
Trueblue

Agree0 Disagree0

Liquidation is now inevitable

Agree0 Disagree0

£22m season ticket money lol. Ticketus have that

Agree0 Disagree0

No 22m season ticket money what you talking about pal? Rangers are in debt up tae there knees eh sorry eyes ,.,.kbarry

Agree0 Disagree0

Twists of the knife and turns of the screw are all thats to come. It looks very like there wont be a Rangers next season.

TBKs bid was only £1.5 million for the CVA pot (nowhere near enough) and the 3 mysterious bidders waiting in the wings are D&P fiction.

A liquidation asset firesale is whats coming. Regardless of the spin and misinformation it has always been whats coming.

Mac

Agree0 Disagree0

Nothing to do with any banners or fans' anti-bill miller feelings, Mr miller simply dipped his toes in the water and discovered how Murky the water was. Personally i feel RFC are to be no more, unless Mr Kennedy can prise mr shyte's shares off him. Fingers crossed Bears

Agree0 Disagree0

Miller couldnt fund the take over the guy has more money than david murray ha ha rangers fans have just dug there own grave keep digging

Agree0 Disagree0

No Income over next few months, players revert to full payment at end of May. where do we go from here?

Agree0 Disagree0

You have to remember the west of Scotland and the goldfish bowl that is the old firm is a million miles away from Chattanooga, Tennessee, beleive me I know, I live here.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont think it was our fans who sent the emails......also i feel a deal has been done by tbk for the shares......miller was just a decoy...just my 2bobs worth but waitnsee...notice he never gave the 500k downer...just put money in an account that could be taken back out .....never was a buyer that boy...just a patsy..deecee

Agree0 Disagree0

Re: Jay True Blue

I'm a Celtic fan through and through and I have to say that you are the first Rangers fan I've read who seems to get it; it being the seriousness of the situation and the inevitability of liquidation. At least your not a clown buying the lies of Keith Jackson, Jim Traynor and the rest at the red tops.

Liquidation is inevitable; it always was, even if Miller took control.

It is Rangers fans like you I feel sorry for. The club? I couldn't give a toss. All the chickens have come home to roost. It's not your fault, but that's life.

Agree0 Disagree0

Who in their right mind is going to buy a season ticket anyway? You have no idea where your money is going to go?? Even if Ticketus weren't at the front of the queue for the cash, how could you justify spending upwards of 400 of your hard earned on something as tenuous as Rangers even being able to honour a fixture list next year?

Agree0 Disagree0

We are being fed lies week in week out and to fellow bears with the banners how stupid was that disgruntled bear

Agree0 Disagree0

22 million fae season tickets? Think that money belongs to ticketus not rangers. Game over this time

Agree0 Disagree0

On BBC News Night Bill Millers man said BM was getting over two hundred abusive emails per day! The same moronic idiots most likely sent similar emails to the SFA panel and Celtic staff. Who needs enemies!

Agree0 Disagree0

OP Youve got it spot on. But most fans would rather live in denial. Thats how the charletans in charge of RFC & SFA have got a way with for so long condoned by the scottish press poodles.
TBKs who I presume will suceed will be of the same mold and they will liquidate as planned.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think the blame for this fiasco lies at Ally McCoists door , although he thought he was trying to save Rangers he came in too late to back Miller, he should have said to the fans from the start to behave and give all bidders a chance, instead fo all this fighting back talk that got fans onto the internet to email anyone who wasn't a Blue Knight(his friends!) I feel that time has run out, its the worst possible outcome!

Agree0 Disagree0

Its not over yet, there is nothing stopping TBK-BK putting in an oldco-newco unconditional bid, they don't need 4 days due dilgence and they know all the skeletons.
I still believe a CVA is possible but it must include a guarantee for Ticketus to get CW's shares. D&Ps can raise money to extend the administration period long enough to conclude a CVA in June.

Anorak still bets on a CVA, BUT ITS NOT A BIG BET.

Agree0 Disagree0

Anorak D&P have stated that a CVA is not deliverable. Its Newco or NoCo. I thought you didnt bet?

Mac

Agree0 Disagree0

Come on tay grips here !
The game is up and everyone can see we canny go on like this .
I hope TBK's get the club for a quid cos that is all it's worth . They know what they are getting into and it's not going to be plain sailing .
The club will be liquidated and Ibrox etc sold off to pay HMRC and whoever else we owe money to . I don't see that realising over 11 million - so I think TBK's are the only mob that really have an idea of what is happening .
If we end up in division 3 would this not be a good chance to go to the English division 3 .....which is the stumbling block we've always talked about when entry to the EPL is spouted about ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Why buy it to liquidate it? Why spend the money? If they do not buy it now they can pick it up at the liquidation sale?

Agree0 Disagree0

08 May 2012 20:03:38
3 new bidders interested in Rangers. Watch this now... that'll drag it out another 3 months! More money for D&P!
The handling of Rangers under D&P is criminal! Whyte is definitely pulling their strings! They should be investigated as well!

Believable25 Unbelievable16

Yeah its not as if they don't have to report to the court or anything, nor have very specific rules regarding their conduct as admins. Or could it just be that the admin of Rangers is such a large and complicated mess that even trying to do that job takes a lot more time than anybody hoped. I think your looking for a scapegoat when in actual fact you should be looking at your previous boards. It will take time, money and as has been proved today, further ups' and downs. Its not as if your going to spend 2 years in administration like Motherwell.

Agree0 Disagree0

They do NOT have three months. They might get three months(with time of for good behaviour)

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't go another 3 months, with no season ticket money being paid the club has no cash flow over the close season. This needs to be sorted with days, not weeks.

Agree0 Disagree0

No, it won't, Rangers will be liquidated and disappear; unless someone pays Craig Whyte £30M+. He will accrue that and possibly more, from developers.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm not going to get into the argument about D&P and secret agendas.

It does look however that picking a company with experience in the field of Football fionaces may have led to a faster turnaround. D&P have been on a steep learning curve that rangers will pay for.

The one thing I would like to know is how do they jsutify the price they are charging? How much of it goes back out in salaries? and how mauch is pure profit?

Agree0 Disagree0

08 May 2012 19:49:37
You can't blame the fans! We're obviously very dubious about anyone who wants to buy our club after whats happened to us this last year. It's just a lame excuse so he can justify pulling out without telling us what's really happening behind the scenes.

Believable20 Unbelievable30

What planet do you live on?, don't blame the fans after that disgraceful display, yes that type of banner will really endear future purchasers to us. So now we are bigoted, and xenophobic, and the world and his brother know it. You fools, accept that we cannot dictate from the stands anymore that we can pay the debts we owe, and be grateful that someone is willing to take a chance on us

Agree0 Disagree0

The fans excuse is tosh, why would an investor worry about a couple of banners and a few emails. Much more worrying is that the figures don't add up, I believe optimistic rather than realistic was the phrase for the figures supplied and the real figures.

Agree0 Disagree0

Financial expert on TV saying the fans comment is just a smokescreen. Real issue is due diligence......we can probably assume there is a real financial mess there. Who would touch this apart from a very rich blue nose. If only I could win the lottery tomorrow night :-))

Agree0 Disagree0

A complete refusal to take any blame for anything, THATS the Rangers way.Club and Fans.

Agree0 Disagree0

We don't do accepting responsibility. We don't do paying our taxes. We don't do hiding our xenophobia and we don't do facing up to reality. Tell us what you do, in fact, do?

Agree0 Disagree0

He said after he was granted preferred bidder status, they got more detailed info which looked like the financial mess was a lot worse than duff and phelps were publicising. Why are you hanging onto the fans comment and ignoring the REAl reason he pulled out?!?!?!?!

Agree0 Disagree0

Even as a Celtic fan i think you're right mate. I would be very careful who you hand the keys to after Murray and Whyte. What was Miller's motivation? No connection to Scotland, football or Rangers and everyone knows there is no money to be made in the SPL. As grim as things seem now i think you dodged a bullet of more lies, delusions and asset stripping. The only way out of this is to start again, i know it's upsetting but realistically there already is no way back now.

CBP

Agree0 Disagree0

We can certainly blame the fans who sent over two hundred abusive emails per day and those who encouraged them to do so. These moronic idiots should be traced and brought before the courts as should those displaying 'racist banners' at Ibrox.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bear here why send the guy emails this is beyond me and that stupid banner we need all the help we can get at this time now nobody will want to buy the club

Agree0 Disagree0

'racist banner'? Nothing was racist but it was xenophobic - there is a difference.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why does anyone believe the blue knights are the answer, they couldn't even come up with the 500,000 when asked and only seem to talk a good game.
I think it is game over and I don't think many would follow a totally new company tagging themselves onto the rangers name to make money.
Think I'll be watching EPL next season

Believable22 Unbelievable14

Spot on mate. if(big if) they gain control of rangers how can they possibly come up with the money to build a new squad etc.

Agree0 Disagree0

Anyone else having trouble getting on to the RangersMedia forum site or is it just me?

Agree0 Disagree0

RM will be overloading with people abusing Miller.

Agree0 Disagree0

Personally I don't think we are in any position to discredit the blue knights, brian kennedy or anyone else that is willing to take on rangers. We are in an absolute mess. We need to get behind whoever or I am affraid it is game over.

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe Craig Whyte can come back and take over.
Or D Murray?

Agree0 Disagree0

Watch the Blue Knights come in now with a new bid that's LESS than their last one.

Then it's no choice take it or leave it.

Agree0 Disagree0

I have the answer. Lloyds bank need to come back, pay off all the creditors and bail us out, consolidating all our debts into one easy monthly payment. Then we borrow a bit more and buy all the best players in the world under 17 years of age. The rest will be history.

Agree0 Disagree0

Whos going to touch us if we as fans will never change countless Uefa charges for sectarian singing over the years, scaring away potential buyers when our clubs in dire need, at home games the supporters Groups BO & UB are Electric but why do they start off the Sectarian songs we dont need to sing them? After bans and fines another 6figure sum for singing would end us! Ive sang them all but In any stadium its unacceptable now for the amount of times weve already had the club punished for it! Also I Wonder if any of the fans flying Yank Go Home are gonna throw some cash in the Fighting Fund to keep our once great Club alive now, not that it will make much difference but its time to empty our pockets as fans if we WANT the Rangers to stay alive we need to Donate heavier than we have almost a 3rd of the cash came from one game in Belfast fair enough that was tickets but any sort of fundraisers have too help. Probs too little too late to pipe up and say this now i was weary of where my money was going at 1st & have so far donated £20 and paid a 5r
for my Flag at the Old firm game i will be putting double that in this Fri when the wages come and if the situation is the same il do it again next Fri atleast then i can say i didnt sit back and watch something i love be dismantled infront of me any further! I know times are hard and i know people
have put more money in than me but anything theres now no light at the end of the tunnel the club needs our help for better or worse we supported to the end and Rats like Craig Whyte & David Murray took everything from us!
P.S. The 3 "YANKS" in our 1st team probably didnt appreciate that banner on Sat either!

Larky Bear On The Edge apoligising for crazy punctuation on a needless rant!

Believable32 Unbelievable11

I think you have hit the nail on the head; its the WATP attitude that scares people away from buying the club - it comes across to any reasonable person as some sort of white supremacy - I do not think that it is any coincidence that local American TV stations have apparently highlighted our less than favourable history in that respect. I also believe that the administrators have also overstated the accessibility of assets to any perspective buyer. If Craig Whyte was and is an irrelevance then why is Brian Kennedy (as reported) trying to do a deal with someone who owns nothing? Bill Miller, I believe has just discovered that Rangers 'newco' can go nowhere without a ground to play on.

Agree0 Disagree0

Spot on mate. For years i've been embarrassed by fellow Rangers fans and their bile. I know supporters of other clubs are equally as bad (they often think that we are pure evil and that they are whiter than white, they are only kidding themselves), but we do ourselves no favours. Surely we must learn by our mistakes. I think we should bite the bullet and go the newco route, Third Division is the way forward, even though it will be a bitter pill to swallow. We can then rebuild and climb back up to our rightful place at the top of the SPL. And please, please, please get rid of all the sectarian guff that we are so badly associated with. We can still keep our titles and history in our hearts. A very sad
middle-aged bear.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said, im afraid to say that it is starting to be embarrassing to be a Gers fan. We just cant defend so of the "fans" any more. It will be interesting the reaction to this and the justification of the emails to potential new owner. I reckon some fans will only be happy if king billy appears on a white horse to buy the club with blue notes (cant have green!) We are a laughing stock, get a grip and dont drag club down even further!

Agree0 Disagree0

I think we are over stating how dire our position is. We have the chance to wipe 140 years of embarrassing sectarianism from our name and start as a modern inclusive organisation welcoming anyone who wants to support a great team. With our facilities, emotional pull and powerful home crowds even a financially weakened Rangers Newco would quickly get back into the SPL. With a crash in revenues Celtic would need to downsize their squad and the playing field would be levelled. I also think many more young scottish lads would get a chance of first team football and that would give us a chance to develop tomorrows Bremners, Dalglishes, Baxters and Law's - if they are not playing regularly they cant learn their trade so that could all change. I feel we cheated our way to some of our trophies through an unlevelled playing field caused by the madness of David Murray and this probably forced many clubs into levels of debt and buying of foreign "talent" they couldnt afford - just to try and compete. A new modern inclusive Rangers backed by 25 - 45k of genuine supporters will be a force from day one. And I agree with the previous post - we have to get rid of the white supremacy WATP rubbish - it has ruined our football team - and bye the way - I think Stuart McColl is the man to take us forward, Ally has been a great statesman (apart from his one lapse) but not a great manager.

Agree0 Disagree0

No teams fans are perfect i hate the bigot songs too we have a great club record and history these old songs are old hat of a time gone past times have moved on some sections of our support still drag our names through the mud no wonder some people dont like us i want a modern rangers fc were we are a pround club like our forefathers founded its been a terrible year caused by the men in suits we deffo need to change our attatudes and move forward and hopefully someone will buy the club ps im disapointed with some of the banners at the game talk about biting the hand

Agree0 Disagree0

Good post from a true fan you and fellow decent fans deserve better i have many genuine friends who good rangers men like you not all celts are against you

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree with all the above posts, i followed my beloved football team all over Europe, for 18yrs, from Amsterdam to Istanbul, i gave up my season book nearly 10 yrs ago, sick of watching the hangers-on who dragged us through the mud, Manchester was the ultimate embarrassment for me. The Internet is a powerful tool, but in the wrong hands, the idiots rule.

Agree0 Disagree0

Very sad middle-aged bear.
You were doing well 'til you said you would 'climb back to your rightful position'.
No wonder fans of other clubs despise you lot. Good riddance.

Agree0 Disagree0

L support Celtic but most of my mates are lifelong Rangers supporters who jump as high and cheer as loud when they win and its these guys and genuine people like yourselves who l feel for, not the bigots and supporters in denial who think the world owes them a favour.

Agree0 Disagree0

To Good Riddance - I would imagine that nearly all supporters hope, wish, dream that their clubs can do the very best they can and strive to be at the top. Rangers have achieved that (legally i may add) on many occasions, so what's wrong with someone hoping that their team can come back from the brink to rise to the top again. If they did it through hard graft then they would rightfully have achieved this. Nothing wrong with that at all. Good riddance to you ya tube.

According to Sky Sports News Miller received e-mails from people claiming to be "Rangers fans" warning him that he would be making a mistake in purchasing the club. Now, why would "Rangers fans" do such a thing to someone who could have been the saviour of the club?

Hmmmmmmmmm......I wonder what team these e-mailer's really supported?

TTG

Believable24 Unbelievable22

Who wud that b then?

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe it was the same one's who held up banners against him? Or was that 'timmy' that bought tickets for Ibrox to hold up banners against the American. Change the G to an I and rearrange the letters. Honestly we give the dhims some stick on here, but when you have clowns like this as fans I am starting to wonder if it is all dhims or some bears out there really are as paranoid and thick as them.

Agree0 Disagree0

It was hundreds of emails. Mate go and have a word with yourself will you. Ill give you the benefit of the doubt and say you are a true blue rangers man but there is an bad element among the rangers support, I mean the evidence is there for all to see. Look what happened to the SFA panelists. Your making excuses for people who don't deserve them. And I'll tell you what, I think these BA*@ARDS need named and shamed. They have possibly put the final nail in the coffin. Are you telling me of hundreds if emails that they couldn't check and find out if any of them are Celitc fans......nah mate I'm not having it, Sorry.

Agree0 Disagree0

Paranoia FC?

Truth is Rangers and its fans don't need any help in flushing the club down the pan. What with recklessly incurring fines and punishments for sectarian singing (We all know how you feel about Catholics so why not leave it at that?) and refusing to pay tax while at the same time raising the glass to Her Majesty, I reckon there's no room for saboteurs. You're your own worst enemies and you're reaping the whirlwind now.

Agree0 Disagree0

I take it you are trying to blame your clubs abject failure to hold onto your last chance of a potential saviour on your city rivals? yet as recent events have clearly shown it would not be the first time your clubs hierarchy & supporters have threatened & intimidated others who don't follow or agree with their points of view! Has it not occurred to you that upon digging a bit deeper his advisors may have uncovered yet more failings & he has simply decided to walk away before it all comes out? This could well be the final nail as you are almost out of both money & time, you can forget about the blue knights as they have already failed in their humble attempt in not coming up with any sort of survival plan that will obtain a cva.

Agree0 Disagree0

I wonder who had the banners at the last two games. "Yanks are w*nks. No thanks" was one. Was it the away fans? I don't think so.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes, and wasn't it really bare faced of those "fans of another team" to dress up as Rangers fans and wave that Yanks Go Home banner? Sheer cheek!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Get over yerselves....

If you really think that Rangers are that important that somebody from the 'other' side would bother to send emails to Bill Miller, I think your deluding yourselves.

I think that the answer is......everybody bar fans with mental issues, that the club is a goner.

Accept it and rise up from the ashes.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think it would have been more to do with checking the fiances that made him realise he'd be making a mistake.

1903

Agree0 Disagree0

Feck me iv heard it all now, maybe it was neil lennon, surely decent rangers fan,s don,t buy this crap garlar07

Agree0 Disagree0

"Rangers fans" wouldn't do such a thing would they? "Rangers fans" wouldn't fly "yanks go home" banners either. oh sorry they did.

Agree0 Disagree0

Get real mate he just had to look at his TV to see the banners of the WATP brigade to know what he was buying in to!

Agree0 Disagree0

"ccording to Sky Sports News Miller received e-mails from people claiming to be "Rangers fans" warning him that he would be making a mistake in purchasing the club" was probably from his accountants. don't continue to blame other fans for this shambles. no intelligent businessman wants to invest in rangers.

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh yea and it was the Green Brigade that made the go home yank Banner.

Agree0 Disagree0

Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't Follow Follow advocating these protests and encouaging it's members to write to Bill Miller - certainly that's what people on RM who are also on FF have stated. Some 'fans' eh?! Will the great and mighty of FF now offer to be pall bearers?

Agree0 Disagree0

Same ones that were with Sandy on the Walk.
The Darkness - Rotten to the Core.

Agree0 Disagree0

Must have been those bad chelsea fans posing as rangers fans again
see ya sometime dont know where dont know when goodbye

Agree0 Disagree0

What a mess looks grim think the end is nigh need a miracle.Well looks like the bk may get their wish, hope to hell they got a masterplan cos if not we are goosed

Agree0 Disagree0

Yep good old Mark Dingwall.. mad tim him eh? Pathetic..take a look in the mirror and you will see staring back at you the reason why no one in their right mind would have anything to do with rangers..unless you find some like minded loaded bigot you are stuffed. And just like apartheid and the Berlin wall the people will be glad to see the back of you!

Agree0 Disagree0

FFS! are you seriously blaming Celtic supporters for sending emails and scaring Miller away! Jeezo paranoia or what! I think he probably just had a good look at the books.

Agree0 Disagree0

Marching to Hampden following unelected representatives and Rangers employees was a mistake its un-american!

Agree0 Disagree0

You're taking the piss? I know of several people who started a fb group up to email BM, duff and phelps, SFAX and SPL. Instructions were, I kid you not, to 'bombard and harass' every one of them. Members were bragging about sending 20/30 emails at a time! Get your head out your backside.

Agree0 Disagree0

Was it sandy jardine!

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe the fans should email him begging to return to the table. I'm sure the figures wouldn't have put him off or wait maybe they did.... Over 100 mil in debt with no chance of escape by CVA no brainer really. It's the end of Glasgow Rangers. Jelly & Ice cream for everyone!! GBNL

Agree0 Disagree0

Okay it's time we all fessed up, IT WAS CELTIC FANS, all of it, everything. We talked Murray into paying funny money for Flo, encouraged EBT's, Whyte did pay the PAYE but a Celtic fan postman chucked the cheque into the Clyde. We were brokers for the Arsenal shares, Bernard Tapie's real name is Bernard Timmy. Unknown to you a secretary called Mary Bernadette Lisbon Lion O'Lennon stapled on a second contract when no one was looking, she also started the sectarian songs at UEFA matches. Bit of grass Mols injured himself on - Celtic fan, Kuznetsov's surgeon - Celtic fan, Bill Miller has two of the three letters in TIM in his name. Whew, I'm glad we finally got that off our chests, it's been such a burden.

Agree0 Disagree0

"Now, why would "Rangers fans" do such a thing to someone who could have been the saviour of the club?

Hmmmmmmmmm......I wonder what team these e-mailer's really supported?"

I wouldn't bother trying to excuse the moronic element of OUR support by suggesting that others are conspiring to deceive. Just look at the numpties with the banners (wonder who paid to get them printed ?), and accept WE have some of the thickest supporters around.
WE don't want a newco, what WE needed was a chance to survive, but now thanks to the brainless ones, the only man who was willing to put up anything near what it might take to achieve this coupled with a plan that may have worked, has passed.
WHO, WHAT, WHERE now??
The Blue Night's and Co ?, how many chances are they going to get to SAVE US ?.
I believe their next bid wont be as high as their last one, and they still wont succeed in their attempt to "SAVE" the club "THEY" love...

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers shouldn't have too much trouble tracing the banner wavers. Their grinning faces were in most papers and web sites.

we need a buyer with a vision....cva...share issue ...back in business....PRONTO...deecee

Believable9 Unbelievable14

Armagedon been looming for months, its over no rangers,no newco..stevo

Agree0 Disagree0

I just wanna say that gers fans need a reality check here. I am a gers fan and we are in trouble obviously ,miller looked like a guy who cld of saved us and maye blaming the fans is just rubbish to hide the state of the figures but at the end of it we need to see past the players who will find clubs easy as but I have a pal who works for rangers who needs this job to support his family, it's not just players. They will find clubs and have plenty of money anyway, so if we need to be liquidated then so be it,as long as ppl remember the staff behind the doors who's livelyhoods depends on this and telling some guy who was willing to invest his money to ' go home ' is pathetic!!

Agree0 Disagree0

How many visions can there be? HMRC won't agree to a CVA that keeps assets in a business - why should they? Bidders don't want to effectively pass money onto HMRC to buy a football club. The newco idea is the only show in town, if someone can champion it as BM was supposed to.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well you had one who listened to the fans.

Agree0 Disagree0

We live and hope, And in the words of big Marvin - Keep believing

Agree0 Disagree0

Strung along comes to mind. Ask those who got money tax free to hand it back some are still at the club and Rangers could clear some of their debts and be looked at in a different light by fans of most other clubs -if they did so!

Agree0 Disagree0

You forgot a time machine deecee

bill miller pulls out of bidding for rangers blaming the protests at the weekend from sections of rangers fans this is very bad news rangers fans and i do not believe the administrators saying there is 3 other interested parties this is total nonsense trying to cheer up rangers fans noone will save us now unless the blue knights come back in very very soon.

Believable15 Unbelievable6

I think it had more to do with Craig Whyte not relinquishing his shares rather than what a few fans thought.

Agree0 Disagree0

I just wanna say that i am a rangers fan however we need a big reality check. no business man in there mind is gonnna take on rangers without liquidating the club cos its in such a mess. time to start fresh and build another record haul of trophies..one last thing.millers excuse of fans protest is a lie obviously tocover the finacial state of the club however i hope the fans are happy now. our one possible saving grace has gone, do these fans only see the history as they only priority. the players if they leave will always walk into other clubs but what about the staff behind the doors who have families to support, bills to pay...they need a buyer in this club and some fans have the nerve to abuse this miller guy! their job..livelyhood is possibly 2 weeks or so from ending and all some fans can care about is our bloody history...shame on them

Agree0 Disagree0

Heard coias in duke street are making a bid, they do a great line in jelly and icecream

Agree0 Disagree0

Singing the blues again. all those lonely nights. boots made for walkin'

Agree0 Disagree0

BBC said "Rangers situation is desperate." It is a whole lot worse than that. Where do they get the bidders from? Is this just to keep their fees rolling in? Do they have plants in offices all over the place "seeding" the mix? Oh for the old days when it was "Last UNCONDITIONAL bids by Friday's deadline.

Agree0 Disagree0

Get real the BKs cannot match the money Miller was putting in, so now we have a cva that is a lot less than the £11 mill, he was putting in, which means longer in the wilderness

Agree0 Disagree0

Blue Knights are penniless grandstanders. First time anybody asked them to put their hands in their pockets they were nowhere to be seen. As for Bill Miller blaming Rangers fans, maybe what he did was listen to the fans. Isn't that what you all wanted? Guess you should be more careful how you behave in public. The guy probably took one look at those artistic banners and thought, "Not for me!" So now what?

Agree0 Disagree0

For what it's worth i think that you dodged a bullet with this guy. He had no connection with Football, Scotland or Rangers and i think his motivation was always questionable.

Forget all of the saviour and everything will be alright stories in the media, they are cynical attempts to retain readers, the reality is liquidation. Surely with all of the barriers to recovery and baggage of the last few years you would be better to start again from scratch.

Never forget that this was all caused by a crazy ego trip by one man, David Murray, and Rangers should never allow themselves to be in the hands of one man again. It would be better if the fans and some businessmen got involved in running any newco and built a sustainable model from the bottom. This might result in a few years of pain and no trophies but that must be worth it for long term stability? It took less than 20 years to bring the club to it's knees and destroy 100+ years of history so time is all relative.

Do it with humility and dignity and people will remember, similarly if you go down kicking and screaming in a sea of threats and intimidation it will not be forgotten.

Agree0 Disagree0

According to Adams he called this into question time after time but was just ignored. It was an ego trip that suited a lot of suites and fans of the time. DM was the main instigator but he was not alone.

Well, we r no further forward! Miller runs a mile when he does due diligence! What will the others do? The same i guess. Ticketus hold the key as i have said over and over again. They paid the money. Do they takeover or do they cut losses and walk away? That will only be decided when big tax case outcome is known! Aint lookin good at the moment.

Believable24 Unbelievable4

Right now i feel totally sick and im also wondering who the 3 other parties are who have expressed an interest in buying us

Agree0 Disagree0

"You truly are the people". What other club in the world would see it's 'supporters' jeopardize probably their last chance at survival. A guy proposing to come in and try to save their club is basically abused publicly within the stadium and nothing is done about it, if I didn't know better I would smell a rat.

Enjoy the third division, you deserve it but they certainly don't deserve you.

Agree0 Disagree0

What did Miller see that wasn't in the public domain, I wonder? Maybe whatever scheme he had to extract value wasn't actually workable.

Meantime D&P say there are other interested parties, all of which presumably offer less than BM. Hope they are right, as there's been nothing mentioned about these before. Also what is Kennedy up to?

Agree0 Disagree0

TBK bid was 1.5 mill for the CVA pot (not enough). These other 3 have either been on the scene with worse offers than TBK or they have decided that the ideal time to come in is after a preferred bidder has been announced? dont think so.

Trucker Miller has pulled out and driven off into the sunset. He states the 'discussions' with SPL had a bearing on his decision...so probably more sanctions on the way methinks. I am sorry to burst your bubble but there will be no division three unless we have a ground to play on -Craig Whyte owns Ibrox Park. He holds all the cards. BK, Kenney, Bill Miller, Ally McCoist and un-elected fans groups can all waffle as they like but essentially it is they who are the irrelevance in this sorry affair.

Craig Whyte is banned though. What a stramash!

And what is CW up to? And Ticketus? All quiet from the people at the start of the process.

On the surface, BM's idea was a good one. The club still exists as newco and the oldco is wound down. There must surely be liabilities with newco that put BM off.

"I am deeply disappointed as I had considered the opportunity to bid for one of the most historic football clubs in the world, an honor and a privilege. I wish Rangers fans, supporters and employees my very best. I hope all your dreams and wishes come true. You certainly deserve it.

This is absolutely scandalous. to all the fans who said 'go home yank' i'd like to say thank you very much. because of your absolute narrow mindedness, yous have probably contributed ( along with murray and whyte) to the downfall of the wonderful club that i have supported for nearly 50 years. Hope you all sleep well tonight ya ***. {Ed022's Note - I had to change some of the words in the post to make it acceptable, because I feel your frustration with it all etc.}

Newco and Div3 is the only way ahead now. If Miller has had his people check us out and warned him off, then we are in more serious cack than what Duff and Duffer are letting on.

Agree0 Disagree0

'A daft Banner' its racist! Some of us can't get our heads round this concept and that is in no small measure part of the problems that have sorounded the Club for years.

see if the spl can just make up rules and hand out sanctions willy nilly from the past , should all clubs who have been in adminitration not be subject to these new rules ? i mean it is farsical, it ok when the smaller clubs have been i admin but ad soon as rangers are in trouble the sfa and spl want to throw the book at us ?? i say fu** the spl lets go to division 3, plgives out baby bears a platform to show har they are made of, and by the time we are back playing in the spl they will e well established experienced players relishing te challenge of playing in the top tier of scotland again, just a suggestion because i for one totally disagree with 75% less money, they want us to struggle, well i say fu** yiu see gow well you get on without us, they will soo realise what a mistake theyve made, soon they will be in admin and we will see how they react to the punishments they recieve, see what they have go to say to that !!

Believable10 Unbelievable14

Dunfermline won't be admin having been relegated. Hamilton aren't in admin after being back in the first division for a year now. These clubs will manage/have managed without both of the Old Firm so the other SPL clubs will be just fine.

Agree0 Disagree0

What baby bears, Celtics youth teams have been cleaning up for the last 6 or 7 years. Your under 19s finished more than 20 points behind Celtics in a twenty game league. face the facts nobody is going to buy you because of the finances. The end is nigh. Tik Tok

Agree0 Disagree0

Wel said could have but it better myself I for want us to go to the 3rd division! Cuz by the time we get to division 1 that will be the top flight as the spl wud hav crumbled 75% is not goin to help us at all in the situation at all! Do u think spl wud do the same too smaller clubs if they was to become a newco no chance as that wud just destroy a club! They know rangers n Celtic pull in the most money from tv etc and just want to fill there on pockets!

Agree0 Disagree0

Where is the guarantee the 3rd division will accept Rangers?

Agree0 Disagree0

Re whether 3rd Div will accept Rangers. Go to the Spartans Website and weep. They run so many teams and are so positive about their youths, and juveniles and community projects it might give you cause for thought.

Agree0 Disagree0

Earth to bear - what planet are you on? SPL are bending over backwards to ensure RFC stay in SPL. Gretna/Livi etc were allowed to disappear down the swanny. Amazing how some people can suspend reality upside down

Agree0 Disagree0

What are you smoking, the spl have been bending over backwards to keep you in league, do you not remember it was rangers that liquidated airdrie for £20k, Juventus, Milan etc have been relagated for breaking rules and they took there punishment but all you do is blame everyone else. David Murray did this not spl, uefa or any other person or club.

Agree0 Disagree0

For the very last time Rangers or whatever you will call them can't get off the ground without the goodwill of Mr Craig Whyte he owns the Club and you need a ground to start again - perhaps if you all ask him nicely he will rent it to any newco!

Agree0 Disagree0

Division 3 is best Rangers can get..I think D&P have ust being making sure Rangers end season. Name a club who es into administration and players are sold/released immediately. The sole aim of Administrator is to secure best deal for Creditors NOT the business (Rangers). This has not been the case. With no more income until August (no-one could buy season tickets until outcome is known) and monies would be tied up in legal knots by Ticketus anyway, players contracts reverting to normal from 01/06/2012. other running costs to be paid, seriously why would anyone invest at least £100million in a possible 3rd Division team. And From what I've heard Uefa are now involved. I'm afraid it's over. Liquidation and NO Newco. 140 years washed down tubes by David Murray and Craig Whyte, with no little help from morons with banners at weekend

To keep the 'History' you have to exit administration via a CVA that 75% of creditors accept. This way Rangers 1872 survives and provides continuity.

No CVA is now possible. Rangers 1872 is to be liquidated to get rid of debt.

A new company can buy the Assets at the going rate- no cheaper. A new history has to start. You cannot have liquidation to get rid of £134m debt and still claim history with a newco. No commentator on Telly would reference such history in chit chat.

Believable12 Unbelievable7

You are wrong......corporate entity disappears, football club is transferred to newco as an asset. Do some research if you don't believe me.

Agree0 Disagree0

Original post is right... No CVA no transfer of history. May not even be playing at Ibrox next season. Whyte owns it and will want stupid level of rent.
Sorry but liquidation means only totally new company can replace it. can look same but CAN'T be same. Airdieonians/Airdie Utd; Meadowbank Thistle/Livingston two examples

Agree0 Disagree0

The football club cant be transferred as an asset. Stop believing the spin. The company is the club. You can keep your history if you pay the debts of the old club though.

Agree0 Disagree0

When the franchise -milton keynes dons- stole our cluc- wimbledon fc- they took all the wimbledon trophies with them- last year- the englisgh fa decided that the trophies rightfully belonged with afc wimbledon and the franchise were forced to hand all wimbledons trophys back to afcw- as we say it only took 9 years- from a group of guys in a park then onto the minor counties leauge, afc wimbledon returned to the football league div 2 last year- so my point is thee english fa made milton keynes hand our trophies back- so can take the histrort and trophies of rangers past away from them? big marcus gayle is still reserve coach at afc wimbledon and basically plays an under 18 team, the reserves won 2 cups this year and lost the leauge by 2 points- gayles belief is prove to me that at 18 you are too good for my team and you will go into the first team squad.left arm rangers tattoo, right arm crazy gang tattoo from 83- afcw are showing everyone that it can be done- reform, win and keep winning so spl or sfa put us where you want , we will be back! you cant get rid of the club or the fans- they will follow the team !

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree0 Disagree0

Hes interested in possible uses of rangers assets, for his own gain by transferring them to another company he will then rent them back to the rangers newco as well as any other events, he sees rangers purely as a business venture there will be little or no investment in players or player development rangers will be a sitting tenant until no longer viable, then he will sell them or liquidate with next to no assets while retaining anything of value in his 'incubator company' this in my opinion will be a long slow death.

For god sake mate , i know bill miller is a yank, and was silly enough to try and help out rangers, but calling him a,,,, PLANT,,,,,the only trifides that need watering , are the rangers fans who still think there is a chance of a cva, and avoiding liquidation .

The administrators at Rangers have said they are "co-operating" with Strathclyde Police about inquiries into the takeover of the club by Craig Whyte last year.

Believable19 Unbelievable10

Police can't even work out who is supposed to be investigating - the Met or Strathclyde. This one won't bear fruit for some time, if at all.

Agree0 Disagree0

Suspect this may be used as leverage to get whyte's shares off him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Even at that, the BBC are reporting that Duff and Phelps have been dragging their heels in giving the police the information that was requested.

Agree0 Disagree0

D&P are blackbelts in bodyswerving.
Feb 14 into admin and were to we stand.
Delay, postponment and cancellation.
Rotten to the core and liquidation.

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope they are also investigating the threading of paperwork of there financial dealings of the club before the tax man could get there hands on it,

Agree0 Disagree0

There is nobody on this earth apart from Whytey who knows where all his money is hidden. He's like a modern day Robin Hood. But in reverse.

Im sick to the back teeth of fans from other clubs coming on to forums/phone ins etc and preaching morality and slagging Rangers for having no sporting integrity. if you take the time to look at the big picture you will find its your own clubs that lack sporting integrity.

we are told that Rangers as a club must take responsibility for the actions of our Chairman Craig Whyte then so should the rest of the Spl clubs take responsibility for the actions of their chairman.

When it comes to Money sporting integrity has gone out the window with these clubs, everyone and their dog knows that if Rangers liquidate we should have to apply as a newco to SFL div 3, so lets look at this more closely.

Div 3
Newco cant play in Europe for three years
loss of revenue due to smaller gates and no TV money
Possible transfer embargo
on a plus less operating costs due to smaller crowds and smaller wage bill.

Newco SPL

Newco cant play in Europe for three years
loss of revenue due to spl clubs wanting 75% of prize money and TV revenue
Possible transfer embargo
10 points deduction for 2/3 years basically ensuring we cant win anything.
having every fan from the other 11 SPL clubs stating we are only there because they done us a favor.

so in conclusion there is no benefit for a Newco Rangers applying to SPL the only people to benefit would be the remaining SPL clubs so all you fans out there that are shouting about sporting integrity direct your anger at your own club Rangers for all their failings cant be blamed for this fiasco

2nd in spl = £1,000,000

2nd in div 3... £25,000

i see your point - no difference.

Agree0 Disagree0

No benefit, tell me what you smoking m8, its gotta be illegal, this nonsense that the spl need rangers more than rangers need the spl is rubbish, imagine this , rangers in div3, how do they even manage the upkeep on stadium like ibrox , trust me parts of the stadium would be closed, lack of income from catering, merchandise, lack of exposure from tv , dwindling crowds dwindling intrest and on and on, tell me what would the crowd be on a cold wet wednesday night in december for a game against stranraer under 10 thousand no doubt, thats why there fighting to remain in the spl, because even under sanctions the crowds would be bigger income stronger exposure better, forget this div 3 nonsense..

Agree0 Disagree0

Have you considered liquidation and no new co. Celtic will struggle and go out of business then the world will be free of two sectarian bigotted clubs. Somethings are not worth saving, RFC is one of them.

Agree0 Disagree0

I stopped reading the nonesne once I got to "we are told that Rangers as a club must take responsibility for the actions of our Chairman Craig Whyte then so should the rest of the Spl clubs take responsibility for the actions of their chairman."

I'm 'sick to the back teeth' of Rangers fans thinking Craig Whyte is the only one responsible for all this. As a club you pretty much killed scottish football over the last 20 years. Your overspending and cheating resulted in pretty much every other club getting into mass debt to try and compete. Your hundreds of million pound advantage has killed the game and in my opinion the third division is far too good for you.

If it was up to me I would have you playing pub football on a rented blaze pitch and have a nice big tesco where Ibrox currently stands. RIP the once proud Glasgow Rangers.

Agree0 Disagree0

If you think that you're in this mess because of Craig Whyte then you really are deluded. The mess you are in stems from your old pal Murray and the Rangers directors. They were fully aware of what was going on at the club and thought they would get away with it.
When the sh*t ultimately hits the fan, expect to hear about the man who was lending Murray millions that the bank could not afford.

Being pumped into Div 3 is just the beginning of your problems.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well, yes, the other clubs certainly need to take responsibility over their futures. I am sure that newco Rangers would agree to join the SPL if invited, though. The penalty may be something like paying off its footballing debts in full rather than 75% of SPL income.

Agree0 Disagree0

The chairman of the spl teams are now seeing life without rangers will cripple them. i feel for dundee , smith has his hands tied , does he buy players to win 1st division or to keep in spl. same goes for dunfermline.

Agree0 Disagree0

You do of course realise that if you throw your toys out the pram and decide to punish the SPL for your issues, the SPL will nust disappear along with Scottish football. Its in your interest as club to keep going regardless of how annoyed you all are. Where will you play your football if there is no TV money? You also realise that you have to be punished? If the SFA do not do it, UEFA most certainly will. So lets put this into perspective.
You decide to go to div 3, SPL all but fails due to lack of interest and TV money.
You stay in SPL, TV money there but you have sanctions. Get on with the job and rebuild
You stay in SPL but you boycott away games to "punish" other clubs, SPL in trouble as gate money reduced to other clubs and stresses SPL. Seen by everybody as effectively cheating and spiteful
You stay in SPL, No santions by SFA, SPL, UEFA goes nuts, ban's you, possibly the SFA and everybody else. Well done.

I have said this time and time again. Stop getting angry at others and get angry with the people who put your club, the SPL and the whole of Scottish football in this spot and stop cutting your nose off to spite your face.

Agree0 Disagree0

So what happens if Rangers stay in the SPL but are relegated next season due to poor performance on the pitch? Cancel relegation because it's financially more sensibel and forget the rule book - Have a word with yourself.

Agree0 Disagree0

So now Dunfermline have been relegated. Will they go bust now they don't have 2 games against rangers?

Agree0 Disagree0

If a newco enters straight into the SPL, i for one will not be attending any SPL games. I will watch my club in Europe and the cups but will draw a line under watching them play in the most farcical league in the Western World! Rangers cheated, clubs lost huge sums of money because they cheated. Buying players you can't afford and fiddling taxes IS cheating. And if after all this, they are allowed to fold up their debt ridden club and come straight back into the SPL as a debt free Newco, then sorry but game is up for me and i am sure many others will follow suit. The world is watching this one and it is not 30 years ago where the establishment just got away with it!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Excellent post totally agree with every word as a gers fan I think we should sod the sPl and all the two faced clubs in it and start div 3, within weeks of the new season starting the spl will realise that they do in fact need both half of the old firm, keep hearing how they dnt need us .wot slot of tosh, the spl board members are two faced sanctions for this sanctions for that make it up as they go along.I honestly think div3 for us that way we can bring in higher gates for smart clubs, thus generating revenue for smaller clubs and we would back in spl in 3 years ruling the roost again, crowds would dwindle ion spl without us,am not saying it would die but it would become boring and watch this space certain clubs would end up in admin like ourselfs.

Agree0 Disagree0

So now Dunfermline have been relegated. Will they go bust now they don't have 2 games against rangers?
-------------
No, they will cut costs, get rid of players, wont pay them as much and therefore probably struggle to get back up to the SPL.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lochaber, you say (and i quote) "we are told that Rangers as a club must take responsibility for the actions of our Chairman Craig Whyte then so should the rest of the Spl clubs take responsibility for the actions of their chairman."

i wont dwell on what has been discussed above but i do want to point something out. Deny it if you want but this goes WAY BEYOND Craig Whyte. Rangers deserve punishment fitting the crime. Simple. I would say the same about any other team who breaks the rules. No remorse for what happened to Sion even though it was embarassing watching Celtic BACK in Europe after that whole debacle. What you havent mentioned is the last (at least) decade of financial irregularities albeit alleged at this moment in time. Not really helping the reputation of RFC is it. I do agree that its difficult to justify pinning the whole blame on RFC when clearly Whyte made "this mess" but no man is bigger than the club. I am sure you would say this if he was wanting to say strip the club if he was a venture capatilist. That means to me that he and RFC need to take this blame equally. He has had his punishment from the SFA, as have Rangers. He will get his punihsment from other sources if they deem him to be guilty. If a Newco is formed then they will be sujbect to the rules the governing body set out.

"then so should the rest of the Spl clubs take responsibility for the actions of their chairman."

Do you know of any other SPL teams whose chairmen/woman who have been breaking the governing bodies regulations.

Reply to post abt boycotting home spl games

Thats a good idea mate dont go to youre teams SPL games. No season ticket money for youre own club. No europe as you can not compete to get in champ league due to no season ticket sales.
Why punish the club you love to have a dig at Rangers. Honestly mate have a think about what you wrote if thousands of you think the same youre doing youre own team an injustice. Just dont go to Celtic-Rangers/newco games then. If thats the kind of supporter you are you probably wont be much a missed anyway...

Agree0 Disagree0

You are all jumping ahead of yourselves. There is no newco yet.

What about all the:

Police Investigations
Craig Whytes Shares & Floating charge
Tax Case Outcome
Ticketus. Next Years season tickets?
D&P running out of funds to keep oldco going

It's all still a big mess and I don't see newco emerging any day soon

Agree0 Disagree0

As a simple soul there is something that I just can't get my head around. Assume for a moment that Rangers did(as Adams says and the Sun produces contracts to back it up)operate an illegal system of double contracts to hide payments to players. These players talk to their pals at other clubs. If they do not do it while with Rangers then surely they will mention to new paymasters when they move. Professional footballers are not known for modesty and discretion. My guess is they would boast about it. How could it possible be kept secret. I do not for a moment doubt that it happened at Rangers but I would not be the least surprised to learn that many other big clubs were at the same fiddle. This should not be consolation to Rangers fans because the obvious conclusion,if I am corrct is that HMRC is treating this as a test case. If this is so, they will have no mercy but set an example to frighten the really big fish.

Agree0 Disagree0

To the guy who totally agrees with the op and says rangers will be back in 3 seasons ruling the roost....... i gotta laugh.... ask yourself this, if rangers are in div3 what class of player will they have, mcgregor, naismith, davis , bocanegra eh dont think so , they will all be long gone, and if you think aw ok but when rangers get back in the spl somebody is gonna spend millions on players dream on , if rangers go to div3 it will be many years before they are even close to ruling the roost, which incase you aint noticed they dont do right now even with the players ive mentioned

Agree0 Disagree0

If we get relegated, could we could get into Europe if we won the Scottish Cup/ League cup? Unlikely with a div. 3 team admittedly, but provided we weren't expressly banned from Europe in exchange for relegation... Muzz

Agree0 Disagree0

I can't see why your blaming CW, he's just SDM's scapegoat.
why do you think he sold the club for a £1.

Agree0 Disagree0

"Reply to post abt boycotting home spl games" Where do i mention just home games?? What you do by continuing to attend SPL games is condone their actions. If all supporters around the country did the same thing do you really think the clubs would let the league implement this action? You are either an ignorant person or someone who is happy to watch such undemocratic decisions and bury your head in the sand.........Mmmmm sounds familar!! Finally, your quote about supporters such as me not being missied anyway.....may i suggest, that it is supporters such as YOU that allowed DM and Rangers to get themselves into this mess!!

Agree0 Disagree0

What effin planet are you on its all your own fault if im not mistaken i think you will find others clubs pay their tax and n i look at our own clubs you are a pure tube mate wake up for goodnees sake a big boy done it and ran away makes me sick to be a football fan

It's all still a big mess and I don't see any progress emerging anytime.

David Murray ruined rangers, and he ruined scottish football by buying players and paying wages they could not afford

thought they were voting to let newco straight into spl. every other club has worked their way up from lower leagues. your point is treat rfc like any other business then rfc 2012 should apply to div3. or stay in spl and pay the penalty

Believable15 Unbelievable11

No stadium no SPL! Or anywhere else for that matter!

Agree0 Disagree0

The 11.2 million buys the stadium and Murray park...pay attention! I'd rather go to Div 3 just to shut everyone up. I think we should volunteer and save them all the trouble.

Agree0 Disagree0

Let us go to the 3rd division why should the club agree to spl penalties when the only reason they will vote a newco back in to the SPL is for there own clubs financial advantage. Keep Rangers in for the money but cripple them from being competative. Talk about double standards, stick youre vote right up youre archie 3rd division for me. Take the punishment on the chin keep the head up

Agree0 Disagree0

You have to apply to div3 you shouldnt take it for granted you will be welcome with open arms

Agree0 Disagree0

I would rather go to div 3 because even if we win spl for the next 3 years we get nowt no uefa cup n only 25% of winners money, F**K that.........div 3 wer on our way lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Any newco must apply for membership of the sfa before any application to joine any scottish division
