Any further interest in cooper the cb from english championship? I know he recently signed new contract but does SG still have an interest.

Has a relegation release clause of 1.5m to 2.5m ibelieve. So if Millwall are relegated we can him for a cheaper rate. I heard Allen was trying to negotiate a little higher than this to secure his signature as it looks like Millwall might go down.

Would like to see us go out in summer and bring 2 quality players in. Spend whole budget on couple of players like we did with jelavic. Think we could sell morelos and buy cooper and mcburnie.

Bellshillad83, I’ve seen Cooper play twice this season in a fairly poor Millwall side. He is a big lad and very effective at both ends of the park. I like the idea of 3 big guys at the back, recall Martin O’Neil playing that format effectively at the darkside.

Cooper is the best CB in the Championship - kid is worth in excess of £5M. He was never in our price range in the first place. Regardless of clauses or contracts.

If as expected morelos goes for big money they will have money to fund the purchase with enough left for a capable morelos replacement.
