Talks are progressing for Todd Cantwell, pre contract agreement, talks are ongoing with Norwich to bring him in the window. There is a bit of past conflict between the Norwich board and RW due to previous dealings around the Nathan Redmond transfer.

Josh Onomah is expected to joint this month, talks as with the Cantwell deal are progressing with Fulham. We had to wait until Monday to open talks with player due to a 1yr extension clause within players contract.

Club are looking towards a swap deal between Daniel Armstrong (Killie) and Lewis Mayo (on loan at Killie), this likely would take place towards end of season. This is similar to the Wright/ McCrorie deal.

Sky Sports reporting - no contact has been made with Norwich from Rangers regarding Cantwell. I wish they would as he's a smashing player.

So many people are confused by the pre contract thing. Clearly not played enough fifa or football manager gents! Also sky said that a couple days ago and it may not even have been true then but even if it was could easily have been developments since then.

From what I understand Rangers are confident of securing Cantwell on Pre contract which is between our club and the players agent.
We will only have a formal conversation if we complete the pre contract signing and want to accelerate when he comes to club to this window.
Obviously the value of him will diminish significantly if he has signed Pre contract therefore negotiating with Norwich until then would be pointless as his value would be entirely different.
