Reading the club are trying to sign BB on a new contract, if true I can't help feeling disappointed as borna is 1 of many at the club who need to move on.

Totally agree. He is one of many who's time us up. Good players for us first couple of seasons imo, been average ar best in recent seasons. I would like to see him and and others playing at wing backs in a 352 formation, as I feel he offers a lot more going forward that defending.

IMO PC sees that Borna is a better all round player than Yilmaz full stop and by having an ageing full back and someone who he doesn't trust in (Yilmaz) it will be an area to improve on come Jan/ Summer transfer windows.

RFC - agree re defence but look at amount of stops Butland is pulling off on regular basis - that is what is helping defence most as full backs and CHs still leaking basic errors which ultimately Butland has to deal with - its limiting these efforts on goal which is a must!

His time is up, he hasn't been good a long time now. The odd good cross does not book him in the team and he gets bullied in defence against any half decent side.

Borna is being left out of certain games to either recover from injury or rest. The reason he doesn`t get rested more often before European games is that Yilmaz is pretty hopeless and can`t be trusted to play too many games. He had to play v Hearts because Bora wasn`t fit but he gets left out as soon as possible because he`s not good enough . He`s the one that should be sold asap.

There has been several occasions where borna has played the league game before Europe even when yilmaz was fit.

There is a difference in someone speaking in general than someone speaking about a specific game I did not say this game I was speaking in general.

In my opinion I think pc just rates borna more than yilmaz or thinks he suits system better.

I really like Borna and providing we play to his strengths I think his positive attributes far out way the negative.

For me he's miles ahead of Yilmaz, although that may be harsh as we've never seen Yilmaz have a consistent run in the team.

Mystar, yes Borna was brought back after missing the Hearts game through injury . We could have kept him wrapped in cotton wool because Yilmaz is not in the European squad, but missing a game or two and then coming back in Europe is not throwing him back. Clement obviously wanted Borna back because he doesn`t want to risk Yilmaz in games any more than he has to, because he`s not good enough . Barisic has his faults and may need replaced but it won`t be by Yilmaz as we need much better than him.

Bornas time has came and gone, time to move on. He lacks the quality he used to have and some fans are still hanging on to that old image of him.

Yilmaz at least shows some gusto going forward, will beat a man and put in a cross or even a big toe poke goal. Its a bit more refreshing than seeing Borna running up the wing and then getting the ball and passing it back to the half way line.

Sterling another option and both Sterling and Yilmaz need more time on the pitch (obviously injures do not help) .

Some people are just blind, yeah Yilmaz scored a good goal ( his only goal by the way) but what is the point of showing gusto going forward when he can`t cross a ball. There are times when Barisic turns back when he should keep going but his crossing is on a different planet altogether than Yilmaz . We probably should be looking to replace Barisic at some point soon but if Yilmaz was any good he would have done it by now, instead we will need to look out with the club for a replacement.

But he is also reaching the end and we need replacements.

Personally I'd replace the whole back four if possible

Would prefer Stirling at left back, bigger, stronger, faster and loves a tackle, better defender and will bomb up and down wing all day and get to by line, crossing an issue tho, think he might warrant a run in team unless he is heading back down south in January, Yilmaz has something about him but every team in Scotland are using his area as an out ball because of height, Borna like a couple of others have had their time.

Sterling is a RB, that is his best position, i would imagine if we keep giving him bit part slots as a LB, 11 sub appearance lol, he won't be sticking around much longer.
Wonder why chelsea signed him at 8 years old and kept him on there books for 15 years from 2007 - 2023 in there main squad (often loaned out - Due to the club buying expensive european RB's)
If your crap that doesn't happen, of course the fact chelsea have and endless transfer budget, pushed him way down the pecking order.
Dujon was brought into replace tav once he moves on which won't be long.
If we let sterling go too, we need 2 new RB's.
