McKenna did not meet rangers on Friday
There appears to be issue re signing on fee re Barron, not far apart.
Liam Kelly is of interest, however he wants to go to euros.
We definitely want manhoef.

Had heard similar with Barron about signing on fee. New agency being greedy one would suspect. Aberdeen have also upped their 3rd contract offer.

Liam Kelly, the Motherwell goalie, god I hope, not he`s awful . I take it this would be so that we can let McCrorie leave to make the Scotland squad but we would be weakening the squad if we do that . Imagine if Butland got injured and we had to play Kelly regularly it would be like when Goram got injured and we had to play Ally Maxwell or when we dumped Alexander and signed Cammy Bell . A massive down grade that could cost us trophies.

Kelly is similar to the other Kelly and Hardie - players who qualify as homegrown that we continually monitor.
I know there are a few at the club who are keen on Hardie.

Storm I have family from m-well, n Hamilton, my bros Mrs sometimes take my lad to the home games if their tickets are going, due too work ext, my bros mrs, though kelly was ok but has majourly dipped in form, my lad, enjoys ibrox,

Scott Carson is Man City 3rd keeper. He wasn’t good enough at his peak never mind now but he ticks the box for European squad registration and he’s an experienced keeper to call on in disaster circumstances. That’s how it works these days.
Nobody is saying we would be signing Kelly to be first pick and possibly not even 2nd (assuming McCrorie stays) .

Nobody is decrying what you have heard John227, personally I think it would be a massive mistake and a massive downgrade in the squad just like bringing back any other former academy duds. What would be the point, we would be as well to play current Academy players and give more of them the chance we have given McCausland . Clement should try and sort out Lowry if he has an attitude problems as he`s the most talented if all of them.
By the way stormtrooper Ally Maxwell was an awful goalkeeper who cost us OF games ad cup wins.

Nobody is doubting guy is not no1 material but how often do you actually use your third keeper and you get special dispensation if more than one keeper out he would be signing to simply fill a quota why can’t people see that and a quota that’s getting harder and harder to fill.

Need to get Barron signed before he
does sign a new contract. A potential first team player who fits home grown status rather than signing players for the sake of it to fit the quota.
Ryan jacks days are numbered get him in early as his replacement.

Kelly is to fill a slot in the homegrown players for Europe. You need 4 academy graduates, makes absolute sense for one to be your 3rd choice keeper, otherwise you are wasting an outfield slot. Very rare a 3rd choice keeper ever has to start a game so Kelly would be fine. Imagine it will be so McRorie can go on loan and get game time with a view to making the Scotland Euros squad but also to potentially be our number one whenever Butland leaves. Absolutely makes sense all round.
