Rumours circulating on X that Jurasek loan deal is close and may include a buy option as Benfica secured the LB target from Man U.

Looks a good player but I do think the buy clause may be a stretch when they only just bought him for 14m euros in the summer.

Because he's not settled or got going at benfica yet, doesn't make jurasek a bad player ? He's quite obviously a very good left back ?.

Please take with a pinch of salt but the guy looks a player. I’m not quite sure how he hasn’t made it at Benfica but I think it maybe his style in the Portuguese league is maybe not suited. But he’d be good in Scotland he’s a big guy, an athlete who can play. And has a really good delivery.

Like if you mixed the best of Yilmaz and the best of Barasic then added more athleticism you’d have this guy. I definitely want this guy. I can see now why PC wants him. He’d 100% improve us. No idea why he hasn’t made it. He’s a good player i don’t think big Phil goes after rubbish.

Although in saying that I’m not sold on Silva quite yet. Only because I’ve not seen enough and I don’t think he’s a number 9, last night he’s was played there with support from Matondo and young Ross and Cantwell behind.

Actually in parts I thought the team who started did some ok stuff when they played. I felt Souttar keeps loosing concentration, and Yfeko is only young I’m not going to hammer him. Although we need more than a left back.

And then there’s the rumour about the boca player. I don’t understand that in the sense it will probably take him a while to acclimatise to Scotland and by the time he does it will be time to send him back, if we get him it would need to be for more than 6 months. Can you loan a player for longer than 6 months at this stage of the season, can you loan someone for a year or more? I don’t know that but 6 months isn’t long enough for someone who is leaving his country for the first time. Cifuentes still hasn’t got up to speed- well regularly anyway.

I'd read they actually paid €8m with the rest as add ons etc so a fee might not be as steep as thought.

At 14m Euro was a terrible signing for Benfica, decent player though worth about 5m.

Same as yilmaz ain’t settled here doesn’t make him a bad player. I don’t know anything about benfica boy but going by people on here let’s hope we get him.

We got Defoe because he was Gerrards mate. There's not a chance he would've been anywhere near Scottish football with Gerrards influence.

Benfica would have bought him on the drip and there would certainly be add ons to get to the 'value' the press have quoted, Benfica ain't going to blab the facts of the deal, it's just more guesswork. .
