I know I've been critical of Todd Cantwell, and although I've never called him a sandancer (just kidding Jfm), I did call him a 'show pony'. However, credit where credits due, he was immense last night. Please keep it up young man.

One thing that caught my eye, which I mentioned on live chat, was the love PC showed him when he came off.

Now, bear with me here, as what I'm about to say references Chris Sutton (I know, I'm ashamed) . Anyway, he noted that the best thing to happen to Todd, and his career, might just be PC. Now, as much as Sutton is a fud, how true is this?! Yip, Sutton nailed it!

So, following on from Sutton nailing it, I would go further and say that PC is the best thing to happen to us since the gaffer! Who agrees?

PC first and foremost is a Manager, something Beale never was or is. Secondly he is a Man Manager, knowing when to criticise and when to put an arm round a player.

Some people just have that "thing" about them. I think Clement would do wonders for most players. Seems to be a genuine gent and very knowledgeable about the game. Hopefully he sticks around for a long time and doesn't jump ship.

well at the beginning of the season i had no real appetite to go to ibrox. various health issues etc and the way Beale had us playing really didn't excite me. i still went but as i say it was out of loyalty rather than enjoyment. well tables have turned again and i wouldn't miss a game. that's the difference clement has made. even with Aberdeen scoring i was still positive that we would go on and win it. was tougher than i hoped but was sure we would win. if beale was still here i would have been more sure we would have dropped 3 points.

The funny thing is my celtic fan mates are STILL comparing his start to Michael Beales. "We get carried away too easily" "we will bottle it as usual". Wishful thinking, the man is the real deal. I can be quite critical and hard to win over but i'm fully on board, love the guy.
Their fans are so entitled that Rangers being anywhere near them is a disaster alone. I look forward to the meltdowns.

I’ve said it before - first ‘proper’ manager we’ve had in years.
Every player seems to be buying into what Clement wants to achieve.

I was impressed with Cantwell at Norwich and was excited when he signed for Rangers. I'm a huge fan and hope he stays a while with us.

100% agree PC is best thing to happen to us.
Long way to go in the league but we have came back from 8 points and we are right in it and it won’t be easy but just need to take one game at a time.

I'd never down play the impact Gerrard had by winning 55 and stopping 10iar. PC though is up there along side Walter so yes he's the best we've had since Walter retired.

Totally agree RTR, I think he's also realised how lucky he is to be at a big Club like Rangers, and the exposure it gives him, here and in Europe.

Todd Cantwell is a very good footballer. He has the work rate to match his ability. Not every player has both. Enough said.

Still early days, but imo PC has the stature of a Rangers manager, his approach in the xfer window, getting players to deliver for him and clearly holding their respect is the best we have had since Walter. If he gets close we will have made a fantastic appointment. One trophy in the bag, progress on n Europe, another cup to play for and a title chase. I wouldn’t have thought this was possible in the final weeks of Beale. WATP.

We haven't seen a great manager since Walter Smith and in Clement we have a real deal manager, very knowledgeable, excellent media handling ability and man management skills again not seen since Walter Smith. It is a dying art these days but Clement proves it is still a very relevant skill in this day and age. He has everyone pulling in the same direction, there is no ego, no visible clichés, even the players media handling is from the same hymn sheet as proven by Cantwell and Tom Lawrence media interview last night, given that these 2 probably have the biggest egos in that dressing room going by their careers to date. They are only concentrating on the current match and only thinking about their own team. It's refreshing to have a proper manager again and I am excited for the future under Clement. Think youth will also get a good chance under him as well. Onwards and upwards gers.

Totally with you regarding todd cantwell Baxterboy and i have posted regarding how i rate cantwell, when others on here were shouting get rid of him, sell him etc because he was off form which he was but there's many reasons for being off form ? Firstly cantwell is a very talented footballer and always has been the old saying "form is temporary, class is permanent"? Cantwell had a few stop start niggling injuries at the start of the season and was getting adjusted into clement's methods and the various jobs on the park, he wants cantwell to do. We can all now see he's taken clement's thoughts on board and is now performing the way we all know he's capable of and may i had back to scoring goals ?I hope he's still with rangers for a good few years and he links superbly with both lawrence and silva ???.
