I know it's still a bit early for this but i'll put it out there anyway. Up until now, who do each and everyone of is think is the rangers player of the year ? There's 3 outstanding candidates for me ie. jack butland, john lundstram and our superb captain james tavernier ?My choice is james tavernier with the importance of his goals, not forgetting he scored the only goal that won us the league cup, not to mention he's led by example and has phenomenal stats for a right back, so that's the reasons for my choice ???Of course many things can change and still happen ?.

SWS I'd tend to agree. You couldn't argue against any of the 3 getting it though.

With what, 12 games still to go, i wonder if anybody thinks anyone can sneak up the inside and challenge those 3 for POTY?

I’ve split opinion many times saying it, James Tavernier is not only our player of the year thus far, but a more than worthy hall of fame inductee.

Just opinion, personally I think the guy is superb on and off field, he doesn’t hide, he takes responsibility and his numbers will eclipse most likely every full back in Britain for some time, he’s also loyal to our club a rarity these days in football.

They are the 3 front runners but far too many important matches to decide just yet.
Also Tod Cantwell, ever since he got pulled of before half time in the Europa league match, big Phil realised and has played him more central and he has been pivotal playing in that position. Tod may sneak up behind the other 3 candidates and take it.

Up until now you would have to say Butland for the whole season, Lundstram since Clement came in, Tav for obvious reasons and Sima until he got injured would have been in the mix . If Cantwell were to finish this season like he finished last season he could be a candidate too . It all depends on how the rest of the season goes .

Butland until recently but now he’s starting to be required slightly less as we are performing better I’m leaning towards lundstram for now.

Collins was a good player, him and Mcstay gave them a good midfield but lacked that bit of grit that we had with Ian Ferguson and Stuart McCall which proved to be the difference time after time.

Tav’s stats this season makes him overwhelming favourite for me. Butland is a class act but can go games without even a shot on target and Tav just edges him and Lunny who has ran the show and given us much needed drive from the middle of the park, he’s back to slowing down and raising tempo at the right time in games.
