Hi I think its rediculous the citisism of Ally McCoist on this site. The man and his players have had to work under continious strain due to off the park issues and lost none drawn one. The object this season was to win the league & they have nearly secured this with months to go. Other than Ibrox they are playing on plastic pitches and torn up surfaces neither are good for a passing game. Every game is like a cup final with part time players wanting to make a name for themself in the hope of a move to full time football. So McCoist took of Templeton & Shiels any of you thought this may be to ensure they were fit for the game on Friday with Bechin chasing the game at 2-1 the tackles would begin to get tastier and Ally decided to protect the two injury prone players for the cup and to shore up the defence to see of the game. Some of you really need to stick to champ manager on your PC's. I am sure come Friday it will be our turn to raise our game with something to prove at Dunfermline. Just like last season when we played poorly in the league and took apart Motherwell. I said before if McCoist goes we won't attract McIness or any manager of any credability who would want to manage a club with the off field problems we have, no budget and can take us on a run of straight wins. Wakey Wakey some of you. Judge McCoist on his first season in the SPL with a budget.

I think that most people on here have judged him on his year as an SPL manager too. The signs were not great even then that he could cut it tactically as a manager. Let a massive lead slip long before the admin issues. Based on performances recently and the probable financial constraints coming. Things do not look good next season. I even have doubts that McCoist will take us to the SPL season after next.

It's all about opinions lad. Your happy with Ally and the other two and the style of football good for you and glad some of us bears are getting pleasure from the season.
But what makes you think there will be a budget allowing purchases in the top division?
Who is going to invest with a structural deficit at the club- nothing new Bill Miller who was frightened away with disgusting jingoistic ignorance told us the sums don't add up. What is going to change, were struggling to get through this season where is the magic money suddenly going to appear from? Another share issue? I don't think the city lads will welcome that - thankfully and we as a support have a history of not buying shares in our club. Dave King- doesn't look like it.
1/4 season tickets now on sale I maybe wrong but I don't recall that happening before.
If you are like you a glass half full that will be nothing to worry about if you are less optimistic you might see this an a board desperate for income seeing crowds falling and pay at the gate income reducing. Who knows but we will find out soon enough.

I know its an irrelavance but celtic are getting lower crowds than us and they too are strolling their league and have not conceded a goal for weeks so its not just Ally who's struggling to entertain the masses, the fact is that next season will be far more competative than this season with a few decent games on offer where we will have to play far better to get results. I can't wait to go back to Tyncastle and Dens park, if of course they are still there, and when they come to Ibrox a big crowd is almost certain with some of the boycotters making their way back.

JYF they will be there will you?

What are you Mccoist fans expecting? That we will claw our way back to the top league and then all of a sudden he is going to play attractive football? It's not going to happen the man took a ten year hiatus from football to be an actor and a tv personality. He's not a young manager and he's not going to get any better.

6.) 04 Feb 2014
If we meet them in the scottish cup play the style of football we have been playing and manage to get a victory will people be on here complaining about unattractive football somehow a doubt it. in ally we trust RTID

There's no doubt that the anti Ally, pro Ally and the neutral aren't going to change their stance on this site but here's a couple of observations.

McCoist has said in the past that if he played only youth players he'd be out of a job. And he would. On today's Rangers page he states clearly his support of the Murray Park players in a phased in way. He knows what he's talking about because he's got a football brain and years of experience.

A ten year hiatus from football was mentioned above but look at the EPL, La Liga, Serie A, the same old and ageing managers doing the rounds from one club to another. Okay, Mourinho's got it but a lot fail managing the most expensive players in the world and still get a job at the top elsewhere.

McCoist has it in him just as Fergie did to everyone's eventual surprise. Let's support him and let him bring in the youth after we've clinched the league and cut them slack when they make mistakes. Booing and jeering 18 year olds is crazy stuff. A lot of supporters need to grow up.

#6 So we're supposed to get behind Ally and his unattractive ideas about how to play the game because a very small possibility exists that we might be drawn against and beat a mediocre at best Celtic in the Cup?

9.) 04 Feb 2014
#6 Fergie EK, you are the type of person keeping Ally in a job. So we might get Celtic in the cup and we could maybe beat them and them we would all love Ally because he's pure good and he's a brilliant manager man if we get Celtic in the cup and if we we beat them? Nice one Fergie, Ally appreciates your support!

Ide love mcoist to pick the team then let them play there own way they are pros ide imagine without mcoist telling them to play HIS way they would play better football and still win

Team is sitting top of the league, eleventeen points clear and unbeaten. Some people are never happy. I understand all about youth and the restart as a way to blood youngsters etc. but surely the main goal has to be to get back to the top league? How would everyone feel if we did not get back up there in straight seasons? Supporters would be bitching, stockholders (not that there seems to be any credibility in the current lot) would be bitching, sponsors would be bitching (and walking). Ally might not be the best, but he is in charge of team matters and the club is winning and heading up the leagues. Enjoy it while you can before the money men fe*k it all up again.
I see Brown has left Dundee - They are sittingh joint top of league with everything to play for. There's nae accounting sometimes.
