I was told literally half an hour ago that mike ashley has asked ally mccoist to step down as rangers manager with a view to him moving upstairs with newcastle utd under 21 coach peter beardsley coming into rangers as interim head coach until the end of the season, ashley also thinks beardsley's temporary appointment will help with the several young newcastle players that are coming to rangers on loan ie. beardsley will oversee them settling into rangers, at the end of the season beardsley will head back to newcastle with stuart mccall taking over as rangers manager, mccall allegedly can't take over just now as he's commuting up & down to england regularly due to family issues, ed & all bears what do you think?

{Ed039's Note - I dont see that happening)

God where do we get all this from who at Ibrox would understand a word Peter Beardsley was saying and please let forget McCall I think its time for a change but let's forget the old palls act and think outside the box

@ 2 I personally think McCall would do a good job at ibrox he managed to bring the best out of his young players (only to have them sold season after season) he is not afraid to give youth a chance and most of all he would do what's best for the club ( like walking away from Motherwell) not what's best for himself like our current Manager I for one think it would be a good step forward and it would be enough to take me out of exile as I at least could see light at the end of the tunnel

i would prefer to see a new manager who is going bring fresh ideas ect McCall ain't the one for me a name on the bookmakers list stood out for me and that was Brian Laudrup

Any change would be an improvement.

I honestly believe Tommy Craig would do a much better job than McCoist.

Craig8688: I know we won't get a new manager, maybe EVER, but I also like the sound of Brian Laudrup, it would be a fresh and exciting change.
