question Ed or punters -
which players contracts are up this summer?

{Ed001's Note - for which team? Best thing is to use the advanced search on transfermarkt, it is not perfect but it will give you an idea of who is coming out of contract in the summer. You can set the search filter just to look for those players.}

Hopefully all of them.

Rangers Ed

{Ed001's Note - ah ok, just set up the search filters on www.transfermarkt.co.uk mate, it will tell you on there.}

Wee bill, from what I can gather the following are contracted to the end of the season:- Simonsen, McCulloch, Moshni, Smith, McGregor, Foster, Faure, Black, Hutton, Miller, Boyd and Daly are the main ones.

I would only keep McGregor and maybe Faure from that lot and bring back the 8 young lads out on loan. Surely that would save us upwards of 3m on wages. Second point, now I understand how we keep getting it wrong with money etc. If there were 28000 at the game today, at least half must have been hiding up the tunnel, methinks a chimp is doing the maths and the book keeping too

Billyb, how many of the players on your list would you give another contract mate for me mc gregor would be the only shoe in, if we were promoted we would need a whole new first team, if we stay in the championship think we should ditch these high paid failures bring back our loanies and have a go under the guidance of a manager who could best utilise a team that should be more than capable of waltzing that league.

Yes Soton bear I would keep McGregor and pair him with Gasparrato or Zaliukas[ if he can keep fit. ]
Before then I would listen to offers for the whole squad on a loan or sale basis. Obviously, there are certain players I would prefer to keep, but would listen to all offers. [ even 50% of wages, in some cases. ]
My priority, however, would be to shift the management team and, if legal, would put them on their one year's notice to-morrow.
Even if we tread water this season we must start the process that should have commenced two and a half years ago. No matter what happens it is essential that a new management team is in place by June 2015.
