As I understand it, the case in London has nothing to do with the one down South. If I were guessing I'd say the one in London will be Ashley trying to protect the confidentiality arrangement. Really in a business confidentiality agreement there is very little either party can do, other than to negate the contract, if confidentiality is breeched. However if its backed by the courts it would become a breech of court.

Pretty much as I suspected, except Rangers fighting the case, which is why they got stung for costs. The exact contract details must be really outrageous for Ashley to go to these lengths to keep them secret.

I'm pretty certain if Rangers can get it passed at the EGM to reveal the details and go back to the court, with the obvious well publicised and irrefutable links between the directors who actually signed the contract and Ashley, they would get the order revoked. Sadly much too late for the EGM.

You appear to know your stuff, Grundy.Are these confidentiality clauses not share price sensitive,and ultimately illegal?

Gkk I was going to say that, surely when your in the stock market you can't withhold information from shareholders.
If it's true about confidentiality, surely a leak would have happened and then everyone knows?

gkk / Grundy;

You have made excellent points. I am not sure how much detail shareholders are entitled to but I would expect that if there is something material that affects the share price eg if there was a big legal action or tax case on the horizon or if an injunction prevented someone doing due diligence prior to a big share purchase, I don't see that standing up.
I don t believe Ashley is worried about £5M to this extent more the legality of his activities.Maybe you have an idea on this; when the RFC accounts are published, the segmentation of income will disclose what kind of deal we have with SD. What does he gain with all this
I wonder what his deal with NUFC is?
