I smell manager involvement in this whole Scott Allan farce, but surely nobody could possibly think that we could have another ex old boy earning a few quid by a player signing for their previous club.
But let's be realistic this lad is not exactly a Ronaldo so let's just move on and accept whatever outcome is.

Well it was stated that Dundee Utd manager got a few quid for two players going to ceptic, and ceptic is involved again?

Rangers didn't make a realistic offer for Scott Allan. FACT

He is desperate to get away from Hibs. FACT

It was obvious that the manky mob were going to come in with an offer. FACT

Since the news of the manky mob being interested today, no further offer has been forthcoming from Rangers. FACT

SA would prefer to come to Rangers, but until they make an acceptable bid it is not going to happen. We cannot make an acceptable bid because we cannot afford it. FACT

SA has to think of his own career, and if he thinks that his career will progress by joining them then that's up to him.
Personally, I think it is the wrong move for him, as he will not be a regular in their team. That's his choice.
If he cannot wait for a few months to sign a pre-contract with us, then fine, that's his choice. He can't care for us that much then.

It was always going to end this way unfortunately.

Let's forget about SA and get on with supporting the group of players we have, who all seem to have a desire to play for the club.

MVG. How can you say Rangers never made a realistic bid for Scott Allen? £250K for a championship player that can be signed for zilch on a pre-contract in Jan.Think of a Scottish prem player sold to a close at the time rival for the same dosh under the same circs, who,one Gary Mackay-Steven. Only difference, the cosy "relationship" between the clubs involved.

Well obviously it wasn't realistic as it got rejected didn't it.
It was a pitiful bid which Rangers knew would be rejected. It was not a serious bid because we have no money. The bid was only made because the Rangers board knew that the fans wanted and expected Scott Allan on board.
I'm afraid Mr King and the board are not going to be shelling out money on players. They are depending on the fans to put their hands in their pockets and unfortunately the season ticket sales are about 10,000 short of what they were looking for.
As it stands I think we have a squad good enough to win the league anyway as long as we don't have many injuries.
Can only hope that some money is there to improve the squad by the time we get promoted.
Let's just put the Scott Allan thing behind us. He obviously doesn't love the club as much as we thought so good riddance to him.
Always said he would never sign for us.
Let's get behind the players we have who so far all seem to be committed to the club.
Onwards and upwards.
