19 wins, 3 losses, 2 defeats in all competitions this season. Hardly a disaster. Of Hibs last few league games, 6 have been one-goal victories. Brighton lost their first league game of the season today and find themselves third in the league! We can't become a bad team all of a sudden but Warburton really must change the team now. Hardie, Walsh, Murdoch, Aird, Law must all come in. All very well saying Law or Aird are crap but our team is on the slide. Game v Hibs now a MUST win!

Wake up

8 points from last 6 games (18 points)

After next game against Hibs only

11 points from 21 points would be acceptable

9 out of 21 or 8/21 surely simply unacceptable

beginning to think that management and team cannot cope with pressure and board should start considering difficult decisions.

Hibs now have a better record than we do and with a budget far less than what Warburton enjoyed. Stubbs has him on toast now and the sad thing is they are no better than average.

I think we should wait to see what the transfer window brings. Mw has only had 1 transfer window if he brings the players in we all agree he needs we will get promoted.

Warburton has put his faith in too many average players. Kiernan, Wilson and Tavernier have all been poor defensively, he has no dig in the midfield and the attack consists of 1 striker who is finished 1 striker who can't score and a striker that is like a carthorse. His team is struggling in the 2nd tier of Scottish football and would struggle to get into the top 6 in one of the worst leagues in Europe. All this with the 2nd biggest budget in Scotland.

We've got a fairly decent team we just need some quality now if we had someone like Steven Davis in the middle of the park instead of Zelalem we wouldn't be having any problems.

How about we just get behind the team and actually support them? Actually seen people saying Warburton should go. he's not even had a season, what is it with Scottish football fans being so fickle.

Well said Cee. That is what I was trying to say. If someone had said to me at the start of this season Rangers would be top of the league at Christmas I'd have taken that. The fact it is only by goal difference doesn't matter. I still don't believe that Hibs will continue their run all season as they have scraped some fortunate one-goal wins recently. Do we really want a return to McCoist and McDowell's punt up the par, clueless football? We'll come good and win the league this season and the January window should see that we do.

Doiger

Why do you think that the alternative to Warburton would be a team like the one Ally had? The team isn't much better and despite all the possession there isn't much penetration. The defence is almost as bad as it was under Ally, the midfield has no dig and our strikers are a joke. Warburton has massively under estimated the scale of the job and didn't do his homework on the type of player needed to do well in Scotland. We had a comfortable lead against a decent not great Hibs side which has gone and we were torn apart by St Johnstone. I don't see any real progress in the team and it's going to be 50/50 whether or not we win the league. As for the argument about would we have taken being top at Xmas on goal difference then the answer is no not with being 8 points ahead not that long ago. It's not good enough and if we don't win automatic promotion he has to go.

You say Hibs scraped some fortunate one-goal wins recently.

We have had a few of them ourselves and i would have gladly had more (10 points dropped in last 6 games)

We do need to get behind the team Cee I totally agree but I think the team need a bit of a kick up the arse too! Even the stand of passing has dropped since the start of the season and we need to find away of getting behind the parked buses each week. Especially if its a team that can hurt us on the break and our goal with our set up is simply to score more than them rather than keeping things tight.

Cee and doiger I agree with both above posts, like you say if we had been giving the option on sitting top of the league with the new players we have we would have gladly took, also m. w. has had one transfer window even that was rushed, I wonder if the supporters would have preferred Boyd, and the players we had last season?

We had to move on in the fashion we did or Boyd etc would have been like big Davy, ie expected to play into there late 30s, if we had not moved on with m. w. i would say we would have ended up finished, completely finished, end of, and I could never support any other club in our country.
