Seen a few places that we r in talks with James Vaughan who is now a free agent. Thoughts bears?

Was quite good when younger, never managed to find a team that suited him but I would definite you give him a chance, had a lot of potential.

I live in Midlands and watched Forest v Huddersfield a few years ago (think it was 2013) . Vaughan was excellent that day, ran forest ragged. He was quick, strong and had a good touch. I'm sure they played him up front on his own but with 2 wide men.

I don't think he scored that day but he stood out enough that I kept track of him and bet him to be 1st goal scorer in a few games and he went on a great run. I'm sure he was red carded 6-7 games into season and had a fall out with manager which was a shame as he was on fire. Having looked through his stats it looks like he hasn't featured regularly since.

Think it might be one of those that could pay off, Warburton seems to enjoy giving lost souls a chance. If Vaughan is fit and has the right attitude I think he would be a great no 9 in our set up. Big if tho!

He's got a good touch and likes to get very involved like Miller and will battle all day would be a nice move gor both player and uz.
