Reading a few comments below about Michael O'Halloran. For me he has done absolutely nothing in a rangers shirt so far. I have a mate who's a St Johnstone fan and he said before we signed him he wouldn't be overly fussed if they sold him as long as they got decent money. We spent a few hundred thousand on a guy who I don't think will make the match day squad most weeks never mind the bench.

I agree when he came to ibrox I Thot we had signed a gem.
But some players just don't live up to the expectations on the fans.
There's still time for him tho great players to learn off but a lot of cash for a guy that's not got a bum off a seat so far.
These things happen I'm sure it's a 4 year deal so there's time for him yet but 1 thing is for sure he's not a STRIKER.

Give the lad time. He came from a team who played defensive counter attacking football. Into a team who plays lovely passing controlling attacking football and even though he dropped a league it was still a big step up for him. Warburton will get the best from him.

100% agree he has time on his side but I feel if he doesn't hit the ground running this season he will struggle to get game time especially with windass, mackay, krancjar, forrester and waggy who can all play in a similar position. I think in the games he did play he didn't stand out and his end product is shocking. This is something my St Johnstone supporting mate told me. He has pace and can run on to a through ball but so can most of the players I mentioned above.

Agreed he was only signed because the fans couldn't drop the "king has no money" rubbish, signed purely to appease fans could have made the move for him now, waste of 500k considering he contributed nothing for the six months the 500k was basically for (could have signed him now for much less was pointless signing him in January couldn't feature in cup ties)

Don't think he's been giving a chance yet, should genuinely see where he best fits in the team, either the wing or as the lone striker, I think he has bundles of potential and need to wait and see what chances he gets next season.

MOH needs a good pre season under his belt, i honestly think he'l shine in the new season.

I think Jaff is spot on, he's more suited to counter attacking football. I don't think that's a bad thing though because I think he will be our secret weapon in the bigger games. If he plays against the likes of Celtic, Aberdeen and Hearts they will have to sit back and soak up our pressure because of his pace in behind, which will suit our passing game.
Last year with every team we played sitting so deep didn't help him, and I'm sure he will be used sparingly this year because of this. But he is different to the others who play that position and I think that's why we signed him, for variation.
Take the Old Firm semi final, he would have been such an asset that day with his pace. They could hardly deal with McKay on the left but Kierney wouldn't have been able to go forward at all with him on the right, which in the end led to their second goal.
I think he'll be a big player for us this year.

Recob that's spot on mate. As I said originally I'd give him the benefit of the doubt and hope he has a good pre season. I like the way our squad is taking shape and to be honest two years ago I'd have been delighted with an MOH type signing rather than kris boyd etc.

A lot of the time a January transfer can come in and don't hit the ground running he's had time to have a full pre season with the team mates hopefully he will show more of what he can do! he was always gona have a bit more to prove to people than other signings!

I agree recob, I think with a full pre season under his belt he could yet be a great buy, plus since he signed last January his game time was stop start with him being cup tied. he might just need time to settle and a proper run of games, time will tell.

He was poor last season and was posted missing in a number of games however he still needs to be given a chance and still may be a success.

Definitely Delboy, the whole cup tied thing was a major factor. Some of our best performances were against Dundee and Celtic when they came out a bit and had a go. He would have lapped that space up as well. I think his confidence took a knock after they games as well, perhaps thinking that the team was better without him.
I saw enough against us and Celtic for St Johnstone to be convinced he still has a big future. Even if he doesn't make the starting 11, no defender wants him running at them after coming on at the hour mark after Waggy or McKay has already tore them a new one for 60mins.
