Out of interest how much extra income do you think we would have if we sort out the retail deal with Ashley?

millions a year better off if we win the case against him.

It would more than cover the 3.8m in losses recorded for this year. We would certainly be breaking even or better this year if fat gashley wasn't milking us.

The reason I ask is that some people on here are saying that we would be challenging Celtic if we sort it out. But when you look at Celtic they only get 4.7 million from their retail.

So while I agree it would help balance the books, our revenue would still be 50 million less than Celtic's.

If we rid ourselves of Ashley and all related contracts then we are able to negotiate all sorts of deals and it is not just the additional income from shirt sales and sponsorship that we would benefit from. Without the Albatross that is Ashley and Sports Direct around our neck we could surely secure significant additional investment that I suspect is being held back because of the Sports Direct / Ashley situation.

Why is ashley going to extraordinary lengths i. e. Hoping to jail king and all other lost cases he's had if it was just peanuts to him?

At the end of the day if we got rid of ashley, the finest fans in the world (us) would come out in force and more than make up for years of not being able to spend, in my opinion we would make a bit more than celtic do, we need this goon gone and pronto.

Recent history shows that Celtic have always done better in this area and I see no reasonbwhy things would change.

This season Celtic will turnover 75 million but we will only turnover 22 million. The only way we can compete with them financially is if we reach cl group stage and they don't. If this happened then both clubs would have similar income, although they would still be slightly ahead.

BossHogg, what I do know is that we always sold more replica kits than celtic. We were the 2nd biggest kit sellers in britain, only manchester utd sold more replica shirts than us!

Aye but the revenue isn't based on kit sales alone. A big chunk now comes from the deal you do with manufacturer and Celtic have been successful at that.
