Barton has been charged for betting on 44football games by sfa
Could this be what the club need to be shot of him. I hope so bad egg in my opinion for years club should have known better with the old firm spotlight.

BBC have kind of written the defence for Barton in their story.

In May, Partick Thistle midfielder Steven Lawless was given a six-match ban, with four of those suspended until the end of this season, after being accused of betting on 513 matches.

Two former Rangers players, Steve Simonsen and Ian Black, have also served bans relating to gambling rules breaches in recent years.

I think it would be a bit of a stretch to try hook the guy for that unfortunately.

2.) 05 Oct 2016 17:48:59
The club might try and bundle it up with the current suspension; which will involve another messy and costly court case. Just what we don't need. I do agree that on its own it would be very harsh and certainly inconsistent if he got bagged for this but would lead to more time out of the team whilst still be paid.

3.) 05 Oct 2016 18:13:48
Surely every player now knows the rules so maybe they can be shot of.

4.) 05 Oct 2016 18:24:11
When you think Sandaza got binned for getting bammed up in a phone call yet Black got away with it off Rangers for actually betting on a Rangers game is mind-boggling.

5.) 05 Oct 2016 19:25:21
I'm hoping rules are now in place at the club where anyone found betting are ofski. Due to past failures it may be common practice to implement this in a contract.

6.) 06 Oct 2016 04:03:49
hes going no where, we kept Black who actually bet on us to drew.

he will be here, take his money and put in a few solid performances, he's 34 a think i was naive i thinking he was going to boss SPL he is a has been.

we need to focus on getting second or third, its a long shot but we have done it before ( with better resources)

we are due some luck our club has an awful reputation with the bank so a don't think its gony be easy until we build from the youth and stop buying 34 year old diddly widdlies.

7.) 06 Oct 2016 10:07:08
There is no chance of Barton leaving unless you are prepared to see £1.6 million going with him as settlement of his contract.
He has the full support of the players union, not least because the matter has been badly handled by the club, as Souness suggested.
Training ground spats are weekly occurrences in football and poor man management skills don't help.

8.) 06 Oct 2016 23:24:01
I have run several businesses - unless Barton agrees to terminate then we must either honour his contract or pay it in full to terminate it.

But to be honest anyone who's played football manager should know that.

I can say that on Face of the facts available publicly, he could take us to cleaners for unfair dismissal and leaking of confidential employee information. Unless he threatened Warburton, but he wouldn't of been just suspended had he done that.

What can we expect to get out of the CW court case in the coming weeks.
As I see it it's only him that have any charges against him that have stuck. CG and the rest seem to have evaded any charges so far but if CW starts singing can any rubbish be flung CG and the rest of that crews way. Would love all the con artists to be jailed.

1.) 02 Oct 2016 17:57:01
he will probably wriggle out of it as well, hope not as its been dragging on too long, don't think the prosecution has got much on the scumbag.

2.) 02 Oct 2016 20:24:37
Have the others done deals with the powers that be? Time will tell.

3.) 02 Oct 2016 20:29:44
Donald Findlay is that scumbag whites defence lawyer you couldn't make it up.

4.) 02 Oct 2016 21:32:55
Cases with complex financial deals at the heart of them are notoriously difficult to prosecute as your average layman can't understand them and jury's get bamboozled.

5.) 02 Oct 2016 21:09:40
Jammydoger, i'm sure i read that if any action is to be taking in regards cg and the other (except white) that rangers would have to bring a private prosecution against them.

6.) 03 Oct 2016 16:23:22
Personally I wouldn't be shocked if whyte gets away with it. Others already have.

Played well last night but 2 games played 10 goals conceded 👀
Aye they are sum team.

jammydodger

1.) 29 Sep 2016 16:18:22
What does that say about us and Aberdeen then? As they put 5 passed us and 4 passed Aberdeen.

2.) 29 Sep 2016 16:37:38
Better than us, great result for them last night, Celtic are the only team city couldn't beat this season so far, credit were credits due, celtic were great last night and deserved their point.

3.) 29 Sep 2016 17:04:51
I'm glad people are starting to realise we are miles behind Celtic this, 'we will challenge them' is utter rubbish. now I hope the board realise as well just how far we are behind. this is a poor Rangers team, nine points from seven games says it all. I also am not a huge fan of our manager. what exactly has he achieved? won the championship that's it but we have him on a pedestal with a magic hat on.

check his record of games won lost and drawn it's as bad as any manager we have had his signings this summer have been awful only Rossiter and Windas has came anywhere near the mark. now saying all that I'm willing to give him till end of season and hope the board can somehow back him as at this moment we are a mid to top six side nothing more.

I hope as we go on things will improve our finishing is dreadfull and concede far to many goals so let's get real and hope for three points on Sat and good display from the team.

4.) 29 Sep 2016 15:46:46
Or u could look at in another way and say we scored as many goals against the EPL leaders last nite as yous have managed in your last 4 league games! But hey it's all about opinions! Lol.

5.) 29 Sep 2016 15:55:09
Wait to the semi final, we've got 5 so far against you, see how that totes up.

6.) 29 Sep 2016 17:04:29
On a Rangers page I couldn't give a monkeys about what the soap dodgers are up to - I'm more interested in Saturdays game against Thistle and looking forward to a convincing display and 3 points - thoughts on Saturdays team selection bears?

7.) 29 Sep 2016 17:43:15
Lets go with wilson and sendeross for a run pf games and give them time to develop an understanding. must also say wasnt to confident with MW comments abt not playing the same "8or9" every week, for me that's the most important aspect of having a successful side.

8.) 29 Sep 2016 17:45:22
The excitement over the result is embarrassing! It's 11 vs 11 for 90 minutes and City came for a stroll and took a point away from home!

9.) 29 Sep 2016 17:30:08
They definitely held their own against a very strong city side and to score 3 against them is very impressive at that level, they done better than most of their own fans thought they would, but fair play to them they deserved the point.

10.) 29 Sep 2016 18:09:42
I never said we are a great team or even really good right now. I just said to lose 10 goals in 2 games isn't really great is it.

11.) 29 Sep 2016 20:24:25
afcw191, I agree, should be easy for the Jags! lol HH.

12.) 29 Sep 2016 21:28:49
as much as it was a good point, city missed de brugne, bet city lose more games because he's not there, i said yeaterday they were going to miss him, he pulls most of the strings,

13.) 29 Sep 2016 22:11:21
i would be embarrassed to say i had lost 10 goals in 2 games at home, face facts you got lucky against the gers till kiernan mucked a pass up the senderos took a mad turn prior to that the game was even, going back to the semi final which gers won on penaltys celtic had a 8 man defence for the first half same as most other teams we have played, still think youve a good team, if i was the celtic manager i wouldn't like to think of what was ahead of me.

14.) 29 Sep 2016 22:15:22
I'm with you on that one jammydodger.

15.) 29 Sep 2016 22:19:39
Celtic played to their maximum, city didn't but credit to Celtic they played with an intensity that we have lacked all season.

Would still bet on a mauling at Manchester.

Saying we don't care about the game is ever so petty. It's the place we want to be and serves to remind how far we have yet to go.

16.) 30 Sep 2016 12:48:15
everyone talking about 10 goals in two games stop being soo bigoted. yeas that's not a great stat but that's against barcalona and man city we conceded 7 goals against celtic and Aberdeen and have only managed 3 goals in four games we are no where near them right now .

that being said I have issues with warbs but trust him to get better results and go on a run of good form all we have to do is get something like 4 wins in a row and confidence in our scoring ability and we will be fine for second which isn't great but what most of us expected.

if we don't finish in second this season I can't see warbs being here next year as with our budget dwarfing the rest of Scotland bar celtic we should be shoe-inns for second but must get our finger out our a*ses.

When wee signed Young clark I thought wee where on too a winner now I see a young guy lost waiting on a bus but their is no service if you get what I mean how hard would it have been too get all the goals he scored from footage and actually play to his strengths

jammydodger

1.) 16 Mar 2015 22:13:06
Jammy
I posted something similar a few weeks ago I believe he could be a goal machine if given the same service the rest got a bit light wait but fast!

2.) 17 Mar 2015 02:49:27
he is possibly the only one i'd keep, and use wingers and a creative midfielder to allow him to express himself,

3.) 17 Mar 2015 06:38:18
You see something in Clark that I don't, he does the same as Miller by putting in a shift every game but the step up with the expectation etc have been too much for him in my opinion his goals per mins played is very poor.

4.) 17 Mar 2015 08:00:14
look messi would struggle to score goals in that team although boyd is a lazy so and so if he got the chances he would score goals there is not enough midfield craft to make thances templeton must be given a run and if found to be wanting go with the rest but there are some players who were good enough when they came and due to the kick and rush tactics have went in reverse another problem we never play same strikers 2 games hard running couple that to the fact that the players are not fit and don't press the other teams we also defend to deep to suit macullochs pace we played this way with dave weir but he marshalled defence correctly

5.) 17 Mar 2015 08:37:54
Bigwull

No he wouldn't he would score goals in any team

6.) 17 Mar 2015 09:12:32
Clark is poor all he does is run about similar to Miller. This guy can't cut it in the championship and certainly won't cut it in the premiership. If we eventually do go up we need to get rid of players like him

7.) 17 Mar 2015 15:21:58
Aye I don't fancy Clark. He's a willing player and puts in a shift but he's just not good enough. I'd start with Shiels and give him a decent run with Templeton in as well

8.) 17 Mar 2015 19:18:02
Bigwull messi would have more chance on his own, no other plsyers in our team just messi, he would not be much worse on his own than our full team put together lol lol .

Imho I don't believe current board will appear at the egm if they know beforehand the likely result may be against them
There is no way that lot will put themselves in front of a packed ibrox to then be demoted and verbally slaughtered on their way out . I think if they sniff the result is not for them they will leave it right up to the last second before abstaining. Or is that just wishfully thinking
Board out now I say

jammydodger

1.) At this point in time it doesn't matter if he appoints any one to the board under that loan agreement or not.

He can win if the second part of the loan is drawn down so he can get Ibrox etc as security.

Failing that what hooks has he got into the parent company whom according to some figures if he called in his loans you would owe 29m to.

2.) Please no abuse . They are banking on it. Suppress the anger and just think of a positive outcome. Be strong bears.

3.) Who owns the parent company, growls?

4.) 23 Feb 2015 21:27:27
Gkk I don't know things like that get 'convoluted' real quickly deliberately to ensure that you can not find out.

What has never been clear is What Mike Ashleys long term goal was.

Is he operating in asset stripping mode ie. bleed the fatted cafe until it is more profitable to dismember it completely or was he aiming to strip all major financial assets out and rent seek by then allowing the shell of the football club to carry on - getting a fee each year for the ground.

Im not an expert in these matters but either way he would want a security or ownership of Ibrox etc. Unless it has become personal because these people all have big egos that is what I think he would be maneuvering for regardless.

If he can still achieve that I don't think he would care if he lost control of the board. The club in th e money sense would belong to him and that is all that matters to him. I doubt he has any real interest in the football.
