Some people seem to very negative about the team this season. Yes we want to see beating Hibs, but over the last couple of seasons Rangers wouldn't have come back to beat St. Johnstone after going a goal behind, they would have been luck to come back and get a draw. Yes, the team has been inconsistent, but I feel we are improving. Of course we would all live to see Rangers win the league, but after the last few seasons I wanted to see improvement and challenging. Gerrard is also still learning the job and I am happy to give him time. Hopefully we can win the league but as long as we keep close and finish a good second, I feel we will be heading in the correct direction. let's stay positive and get behind the team and continue to support them. !

So, coming back to beat St Johnstone does it for you? Wow! If that statement does not prove how low our standards and expectations have dropped, nothing will.

Compared to league table last season after 20 games:

This season we:
. Have lost 3 games less
. 3 points more
. Goal difference is 12 better
. Scored 3 more goals
. Conceded 9 goals less
. Over 40 more shots on target.

slk73 of course I would have loved to see us beat St. Johnstone 3 or 4 nothing but we didn’t, but we got 3 points that I don’t think we would have got last season. We have to be realistic, we don’t have a squad strong enough to beat these teams convincingly at the moment. I want to see us win everything but then again we have to be realistic. I suppose it bring up the old adage if performance against results.

Brilliant! Are we playing better?
Ok Stato, here's a question. How many points have we dropped against the top teams in the league? Count the points dropped against Celtic, Aberdeen, Hibs and Kilmarnock. Is that progress?

We have yet to win a big game this season against the teams who qualified for Europe. 2 defeats to a quite woeful Aberdeen side, 2 draws against a struggling Hibs side and a poor performance against them. Until we start winning the big games then the jury is out on how good Gerrard is.

Do you not think losing 3 games less already is a step in the right direction?
