I think realistic signing targets could include:
Lasse Vibe
Adam Reach
Wayne Routledge
Andy King
Jordan Jones
Aden Flint
Joe Bryan
James Madisson.

1.) 27 Dec 2017 00:13:34
Aden Flint would cost around £10m. Premiership club's after him. We would struggle to tempt Jordan Jones just now.

2.) 27 Dec 2017 00:42:01
There is a difference of being rated at £10 million and a club actually getting £10 million pound. Not sure a 28 year old championship defender would sell for that amount. At the start of the season Birmingham bid £5 million for Flint and Joe Bryan. If he does go for that, then good on him. Remember Celtic said Dembele was rated at £50 million now they are talking about £18 million.

3.) 27 Dec 2017 02:36:12
To many drinks this Christmas shaft, Routledge is on approx 35 grand a week at Swansea. Aden Flint is wanted be bigger clubs than us we couldn’t afford him. Even players on that list like Vibe or Andy King we would struggle to sell. When will people realise we are still skint. We couldn’t tempt Aberdeen’s manager away from them what chance do we have of getting half these players. Kenny McLean is about the calibre of player we can attract now and will do until we sort ourselves out on and off the park.

4.) 27 Dec 2017 08:21:36
Free signings and loans cause were skint

5.) 27 Dec 2017 09:20:02
Why do people keep posting these silly lists of players we could tempt, we have very little money and if we are honest Rangers are not a club that would interest a lot of players we have became a circus we are a top six club and just that, until we get a board who can appoint a decent manager who then can spend what little money we have then kick some arses to get the best out of the garbage we have then we may get second, this is not an attack on Murty he has been hung out to dry by this board, they have appointed two managers who were not good enough then took six weeks to go round in a circle and give the job to our U20s manager, even Kilmarnock can do better they have a manager now who is second only to Brendan in experience and look how it has kicked them on, I think we can expect more of these dark days until we get some decent investment but I won't hold my breath on that one

6.) 27 Dec 2017 10:42:04
Seriously? The money that’s spent in England and you don’t think a 28 year old championship defender would go for 10 mill. Few to many drinks 😜 would take them all but they’re out our league

7.) 27 Dec 2017 12:49:49
When did celtic say MD was valued at 50m. You on the glue?

8.) 27 Dec 2017 15:04:07
I'd be looking at junior hoilett out of contract end of season

9.) 27 Dec 2017 15:50:40
rayman-all you mhanks were bumping your gums off after his first half a season playing and the price you were all shouting about was 50 million, shaft is only quoting what you all were saying at that time, you lot were all sniffing the old evo stick

10.) 27 Dec 2017 17:41:20
True blue u have a distorted sense of the truth, then again your a sevco fan u thought u could win the league.
Most were saying 25m yea some were saying more but only after some of the transfers down south like 50m for a 30yr old right back.
Truth is we will get what someone pays and my money is on 22-26m, then again if Morelos is valued at 10m maybe The Moose is worth 50 lol.

11.) 27 Dec 2017 17:55:28
Yip they sure were mr musa dumdbell worth 50 mill it was so funny i'm still in stiches with laughter after all it did win the best joke award for 2017

12.) 27 Dec 2017 18:24:52
rayman from real to Barcelona to man city to man utd now we have arrived at the mighty brighton you lot are delusional

13.) 27 Dec 2017 22:27:39
Moonhowling the night after the game mate?

14.) 27 Dec 2017 22:31:24
why do people continue to hit the disagree button when a fan genuinely says it like it is we are skint. not bankrupt but have little money. too many fans refusing to accept this . we need big investment or the rubbish will continue.

15.) 27 Dec 2017 23:36:32
Must be the drink but did someone call US delusional lol.
Bets joke of the year right there.

16.) 28 Dec 2017 03:09:21
IS that a spelling mistake with Wayne Routledge surely you mean Wayne Rooney 😂😂😂

26 Dec 2017 23:37:45
Not sure about the authenticity of this but, seemingly some Chelsea fans on one of their forums been saying that John Terry been linked with Rangers management team. Would like to believe it but not sure it would ever happen. But when you think about it who is actually going to be available should Murty not be successful. Previous supposedly targets Pullis, Pardew, Allerdyce already snapped up. I feel a bit sorry for Murty as he can't win. What was he supposed to do after being asked to manage team till end of the season? If he said no thanks, I'll stay with the academy team, fans would have said he is not committed to the club.

1.) 27 Dec 2017 00:10:49
Just because he was a very good player doesn’t mean he will be a good manager. We need experience not a rookie in my opinion

2.) 27 Dec 2017 01:31:42
I would love it if John Terry got the job. Graeme Souness had no experience and he was fantastic so I think someone like him or Frank Lampard would be brilliant

3.) 27 Dec 2017 02:37:05
I smell Bull

4.) 27 Dec 2017 06:28:14
John Terry will get a coaching role of some sort at Chelsea - no doubt. On his days off from Villa he goes to Chelsea games, he still lives in London, he won't come up here.

5.) 27 Dec 2017 09:22:31
Why the hell would Terry come up here there is more chance of him going to Kilmarnock if you want to start a daft rumour Stevie Clark has more contact with ex Chelsie players

6.) 27 Dec 2017 10:07:24
Jt won't b at gers ever tic fan and when he does his coaching chelsea will be were he goes same as lamps who main management job is super blues of london

7.) 27 Dec 2017 11:54:42
Jt as backroom staff to Murty. He'll snap our hand off for that opportunity 🤣

8.) 27 Dec 2017 12:12:10
John Terry is a born winner. fact, in his prime he was the best central defender in England. fact, he has a soft spot for Rangers. fact,
Would love to see him in the management team at Rangers but unfortunately he will end up at Chelsea or the likes . Sad Fact!

9.) 27 Dec 2017 12:30:26
Jt is a tic fan lamps a ger fan

10.) 27 Dec 2017 15:50:39
Pretty sure JT is not a rangers fan

11.) 27 Dec 2017 22:28:16
Jetmayfair he does not have a soft spot for Rangers his brother did.

22 Dec 2017 12:23:49
Declan John signs permanently from Cardiff. It is on Cardiff FC twitter page. Welcome to Rangers.

1.) 22 Dec 2017 15:53:12
Glad he's stayed with us. a thought he would go back down south tbh.

2.) 22 Dec 2017 18:29:55
Hes made a decent start and has good potential. any1 no how much we paid?

3.) 24 Dec 2017 14:18:20
Statement of intent. Well done rangers

06 Nov 2017 09:25:14
Sky Sports News - Rangers approach Steve McLaren. McLaren interested in speaking to Rangers. Not who I want. Would rather Murty until end of the season.

1.) 06 Nov 2017 10:22:41
i want DM in or murty i don't want mclaren i think he would ruin us

2.) 06 Nov 2017 12:22:46
Please no to McLaren

3.) 06 Nov 2017 12:35:31
McLaren did manage Twente Enschede to their first ever Dutch league title in 2009 but I'm not sure if he would be right for us. His profile is certainly as big as Brenda's though

4.) 06 Nov 2017 13:07:03
if steve mclaren gets the job i predict i will not renew my season ticket he’s an older version of ian cathro great on the training pitch absolute diddy manager if this is the road the board go down my faith in them will be put to the test also, none of the candidates totally excite but mcinnes is the stand out in that group

5.) 06 Nov 2017 15:23:21
Would rather have Moyes than Mclaren but hoping for Mcinnes if we are going for an English manager big Sam would be a good shout

6.) 06 Nov 2017 15:31:20
Get Bilic in!

7.) 06 Nov 2017 15:36:37
Poor move, McLaren is just another Caxhina. Coach not a manager. We need structure and someone who is able to change the game with subs not just use them for the sake of using them

8.) 07 Nov 2017 02:00:18
I hope the board read these pages, I have said it until I'm blue in the face, if we don't get mcinnes then I guarentee we will regret it. Mclaren is a joke and if these stories are true then its really bad news.

9.) 07 Nov 2017 16:17:51
Bilic another dud manager.
Has he not been sacked in his last 3 jobs now?

10.) 07 Nov 2017 16:48:39
McLeish lol . we were shouting for him to leave 11 years ago .
Worst run of results in our glorious history.
Forever thankful for his title winning achievements .

28 Sep 2017 08:35:14
Pedro will still be there till at least xmas. They can't afford to sack him and take on a top manager unless there is extra money put into the club.

1.) 28 Sep 2017 10:39:02
So from your understanding, they would be in a position to get rid of him after Christmas? What is happening after Christmas that means this might be possible?

2.) 28 Sep 2017 11:40:42
could promote murty

3.) 28 Sep 2017 12:23:37
Santa comes at Christmas time.

4.) 28 Sep 2017 13:49:40
its beyond me why people can't get behind this guy i mean c'mon u can't expect any manager to come in and get a brand new first team and expect them to be on par with celtic who have went from strength to strength in our absence.
no manager would be able to do that.

i truely believe we are only 3 quality players away form it though.

we need another striker with a real arial threat as we put more balls into the box than any other team in scotland.

we need a left winger as windass is a no ten being forced to play out wide.

and the fullbacks need to be replaced i like tav and have said from the start that he has potential but if we could at least get sum1 in there that can defend better for the big games the should.
waldo for me is done thanks for your service big man but u are not doing enough.
i honestly belie if we get these areas filled with rangers standard players then we have a chance at competing next year .

its already too late for this year!

5.) 28 Sep 2017 15:13:22
I agree with most of your points, I just wish that we had full backs that could defend instead of attacking, time and time again opposition teams, all of them, break out of defence, punt the ball up the wings into acres of space, and there's not a rangers full back to be seen, then its a ball into the middle and we are under pressure again and look like conceding. Morelos definitely needs another striker in the box with him as well, then we'll see more goals from him

6.) 28 Sep 2017 16:12:36

certain positions need to be strengthened and i believe when we do that then we can compete but to expect every signing tohit the ground running or k out at all but in the biggest sense pedro have strengthened well but a couple are not making it yet.

but we must give the manager a chance to get his visoion across to them and at least another summer window to make everything better.

sum1 compared it to brenda doing a job at celtic but the point is they where already a winning side with international players in their squad.

success stories are morelos obviously candias alves jack and ones that i believe will get better are dorrans pena and herrera (who i think should get a more game time with morelos as they could form a partnership and herrera is tall and should be good for crosses)

7.) 28 Sep 2017 17:43:02
Pena and Herrera will not cut it in this league. It is too physical and they expect to much time on the ball. The manager has problems with communicating and the dressing room is potentially split. I expect to see dropped points tomorrow. Everyone that is behind the team and behind Pedro. Will you be happy with a season that see's us finish 3rd or worse after giving Pedro his team and vision to run with for a full season? Would you happily see him given money to spend on players again? Do you trust this guy to bring back the glory days? i'm all for the get behind the team war cries but come on for ducks sake. He is not an elephant he is a clown.

8.) 28 Sep 2017 17:47:54
Totally agree spending about £8 mill net on replacing almost a whole team eleven players is not going to get to a championship winning team Celtic are miles ahead of us and will be for a few seasons yet we don't have the money to compete we don't have any flair players we need to get three or four top players in that will take somewhere close to £15 mill if not more we just don't have it we need a share issue and further investment and that will take time to sack the manager now would take millions to pay his and his backroom teams contracts up then buy out the managers contract who comes in and that's money we need spent on the team so get behind Pedro and the time for me the jury is out but he needs at least till the end of the season then we can look and see where we are

9.) 28 Sep 2017 19:55:08
I wish people would have a little patience as the man has only had one transfer window to change a whole team its obvious with our financial restraints that we weren't going to be better than them first time of asking.

10.) 28 Sep 2017 19:36:19
that kind of money won't get us competing with that mob but i'm still expecting us to be the best of the rest and we look well off of that i'm worried about playing hamilton away as this will be a lot of our players first competitive game on astroturf i shouldn't be worrying about a fixture like that but unfortunately that's the state our clubs in ATM

19 Apr 2018 01:04:33
What do you think the team will be for Sunday? Unfortunately I don't see there being much difference in the team.

I'd go:

Cardoso McCrorie Alves

Tavernier Docherty Rossiter John

Cummings Morelos.

1.) 19 Apr 2018 07:48:26
there won't be much different but you have made 4 changes?

2.) 19 Apr 2018 09:10:52
Foderingham is a bomb scare

Hollywood dives across the goals but the ball still goes i'm the net.
Poor distribution and doesn't inspire confidence i'm teammates or fans.
Would be first to go as he's had his chance to prove to be a top keeper and sadly he will never be

3.) 19 Apr 2018 09:12:35
Why do people keep going on about two up front it won't happen it's been one up front till now we are about to play the top clubs now and you think he'll change it sacrificing a midfield player against Hearts not a chance our defence is rank rotten Hearts have a far better defensive record than us we are the leagues top scorers three better than Celtic but fifth worst defensive record so we have to protect that defence and leave the midfield

4.) 19 Apr 2018 09:28:43
I meant I don’t see Murty making many changes to the team. The team is one I would try. Unfortunately I don’t see many options to improve the team. Do we give one of the development squad a chance? Maybe they be keen to impress. Players Barjonas and Beerman done too badly when called upon. Maybe even Middleton. Would like to see them in the bench at least.

5.) 19 Apr 2018 09:41:18
At the start of the season Miller and Morelos started some games together. Morelos was scoring more then. We can’t be defensive these last few games. We need to go for it each game and try end the season on a positive note.

No one likes us, we don’t care!

6.) 19 Apr 2018 09:55:59
morellos should be sitting next to me in the govan front watching it

headless chicken

7.) 19 Apr 2018 10:01:14
Who would you start up front? Unfortunately we don’t have many options.

8.) 19 Apr 2018 10:14:28
cummings the obvious soption

9.) 19 Apr 2018 10:24:49
I agree with Cummings starting. But I would still like to see 2 up front. I don’t think Murty will do that. If there is one striker up front, just say Cummings, there would need to be someone playing close to him. Again not many options. Windass or Dorrans not playing great.

10.) 19 Apr 2018 10:41:27
is joe dodo still there?

11.) 19 Apr 2018 12:20:03
Docherty has been disappointing.
Good athlete but can't play football.

Murphy is a one trick pony ie get the ball on the left, bottle out of taking a man on and cut inside.

Holt is too lightweight and if he plays Hearts will throw him out their way.

12.) 19 Apr 2018 12:46:59
I disagree I reckon Docherty going to be a star turn
not his fault he I splaying with jokers at the moment

13.) 19 Apr 2018 14:27:56
There's nothing wrong with playing one up. What's wrong is the tactics that leave him isolated when the nearest blue jersey to him is 30 yards away. It's not the personnel that's poor, it's the managing of that personnel.

10 Apr 2018 22:19:11
I don't understand what all the fuss is about Frank de Boer. He dues my exactly have a great record. Names I think could do a job are (not sure if they are possible) :
. S. Bilic
. M. Laudrup
. G. Potter
. J. Ross

Not sure how true but, heard about the possibility of Steve McLaren to give assistance/ experience to help Murty. I do think that a lot of fans need to keep wanting a "Rangers Man". This does not always work. Our greatest Rangers player John Greig didn't exactly do well or McCoist. I would rather they take time to make the right appointment.

1.) 10 Apr 2018 23:22:47
4 league titles with Ajax more than Rodgers has managed

2.) 11 Apr 2018 00:08:44
We don’t want Steve McLaren anywhere near Rangers. Poor manager and it’s no surprise that he continues to be out of work

3.) 11 Apr 2018 09:16:46
have to laugh at some people on here fdb a great rangers man he played 15 games and my granny could have won those league titles with ajax with thr resources and team he inherited the guy is not the right choice for us he is a gamble at best he lost the palace dressing room within weeks because of his big ego no mclaren or fdb not murtys biggest fan but would much rather see him stay in charge than any of those chancers getting the job

4.) 11 Apr 2018 09:34:34
FDB is not the best choice imo, I would go for
Warnock - if we can get him
Bilic - if we have the budget
Potter and Reid
Lastly if the above don’t work out keep Murty with a decent budget and mentor

5.) 11 Apr 2018 11:35:09
Can we stop saying someone to give Murty experience. It's ludicrous. So we would have a DOF, Murty and a third man telling Murty what to do? Talk about too many cooks! and i'm sure I have said before, if someone needs their hand held then it's a clear indicator they are not suitable for the job.

As a side note, folk saying Bilic, what makes him so much better than de Boer? Bilic would want a big wage, same as de Boer and I genuinely don't see what makes him stand out?

6.) 11 Apr 2018 12:49:55
hahahahhahaha don't dancy RDB but Jack Ross?!

7.) 11 Apr 2018 13:51:50

No she couldn’t

8.) 11 Apr 2018 16:12:15
How about the little general returning?

04 Apr 2018 14:40:49
So sad to hear the news about Ray Wilkins. Thoughts go out to his family and friends.

03 Jan 2018 01:16:21
Some interesting players out of contract in the summer in EPL.
Scott Arfield
Gareth Macaulay
Julian Speroni
Kyle Bartley
Ollie McBurnie
Chris Brunt.

1.) 03 Jan 2018 12:59:08
Would love to see us go for McBurnie and Arfield

2.) 03 Jan 2018 13:38:16
Arfield probably won't come to us massive Tim, mcburnie would be a brilliant signing and I definitely think we should try and get him asap

3.) 03 Jan 2018 14:27:27
McBurnie would be a terrific signing, he has his best years all in front of him and a big bluenose!

4.) 03 Jan 2018 15:39:07
I agree McBurnie would be a terrific signing but I'm sure he's contracted till June 2019 so maybe a loan instead.

5.) 03 Jan 2018 15:41:56
Speroni - 38
Brunt - 33
McAuley - 38
Have a word.
Would maybe consider Bartley and McBurnie.

6.) 03 Jan 2018 15:45:33
Here we go with the "he's a massive tim" stuff again 🙈.

7.) 03 Jan 2018 16:41:51
is Arfield not getting a decent amount of game time in a flying Burnley team?

8.) 03 Jan 2018 17:31:33
Well arfield is a Tim plays quite a bit in the premiership and if was coming back to Scotland he would fancy his chances of getting into the celtic first team especially when someone like sinclair could get a game and he is now one of their main men. It ain't bigoted to say he is a massive Tim he comes from livi and that's how I know and when I said to a couple of his mates a few years back when he was at Falkirk that I'd like to see him at us they all told me that there was no chance of it. Or is it the fact I'm from the same place as him and didn't get my info from a petrol station or chippy netting or my source that makes it unbelievable

9.) 03 Jan 2018 18:15:26
Sorry to say he is not a Celtic fan. He is a rangers fan. Yes he is from livi but I work with his best mate, and as of last week, Scott arfield is and always has been a rangers fan. My mate speaks with Scott on a weekly basis. His exact words were ‘Scott would crawl up to ibrox to pull on the blue of rangers’.

10.) 03 Jan 2018 19:01:11
He is a celtic fan 100% I have two guys who work for me that went to school with him and are still in regular contact so you are 100% talking rubbish, the boy is quite well known about livi he comes from knightsridge I have no reason to make this up

11.) 03 Jan 2018 19:13:08
It disny matter who he supports. professional footballers don't think the way a fan thinks. just ask Maurice John Giblin Johnstone or Michael Francis O’Halloran

12.) 03 Jan 2018 19:22:34
Just ask young Lewis Morgan who was a season ticket holder at Ibrox till 2yr ago.

13.) 04 Jan 2018 21:33:24
Arfield is 100% a Celtic fan, I knew him personally growing up. Have even had a talk with him before if he would play for us and he said he would if the circumstances were right. Albeit that was a very long time ago now when he was still very young but like already stated it doesn’t matter who he supports, he’s a professional and someone who would better our team so if he gave his all for the shirt why shouldn't we sign him?

13 Sep 2016 11:51:44
Think that MW still not sure what best team is yet. Personally I would start Wilson before Kiernan, but who else in defence not sure. Even thinking about possibly a midfielder moving back into there. Also think that realistically should be hoping for a top 4 finish and build from there.

They won’t mak a change with only 5 games to go. We will have Murty till end of the season, unless he chooses to go.

Miller is certainly not the player he used to be but, he has stuck with the club when I am sure he could have went else where. He would give his best when on the pitch, regardless what league we were in. I would like to see him at least as a coach. Rightly or wrongly it shows the players are hurting and want better. I would be more concerned if no one was saying anything and just letting it go. Confidence is obviously very low just now, but we can still finish 2nd then start rebuilding, from the top, for next season.

I think people should be blaming the board more than Murty. Yes, Murty may not be a Rangers manager however, he has never went into hiding. He has always been professional and faced the press knowing he would get a tough time. He was put in a no win situation by the board. They knew the guy had no managerial experience when they offered him the job until the end of the season. If he had said no to the job, then people would have said that he obviously doesn’t want to be at the club. But, he took the job on, when probably no one else wanted it, knowing it would be tough. I agree he has a lot to learn about management, but I still believe he has potential to be a good manager in the future (wherever that may be ) . Maybe he needs time to work as an assistant to an experienced manager. let's just support our team through the rest of the season and let us finish second. Then we can rebuild for next season.
