Few things :

1. Playing McAuley against a team with pace like that is ludicrous. After his Yellow he had to be far too cautious before defending Jones goal.

2. Defoe (scored ok great) . Should have came off earlier or change tactics as long balls to a 5ft 5 player is ridiculous. Was like playing with 10 men.

3. Bringing Candeias on at 2-1? Crazy. We needed a runner to press them in their own half and should have been done earlier at 1-1. Morelos/ Defoe weren't doing this remotely enough.

4. Subs are made to change the game - too many routine substitutions at the 70/ 80 minute mark. Don't give Lafferty the odd 10mins and expect him to get a goal.

I've called out Gerrard's tactics on this before and other than the European run / Celtic Game, the results have been poor. We need ideas and I don't believe for a second the management team don't have any but Gerrard calls the shots and keeps failing. I want him to succeed but how many poor results against a top 6 team is that now?

Agree with a lot of what you say. He has also wasted a lot of money on players like Grezda, Borsic and Lafferty. No point in buying lafferty to hardly put him on. As for McAuley he just can’t run and Worrell is a bombscare.

Why are we giving worrall game time to develop him whenhes not even interested in staying? Develop our own get big katic back in he's better anyway imo.

What or who is at fault. We played Celtic off the park then outplayed by Killie. I know this is going to upset some people but i'm only sharing my thoughts. We obviously want Gerrard to do well, he attracts players etc and yes give him time. But i cannot understand why he is chopping and changing the team, we need a settled team who can play and understand each other. Go back to the start of the season, Katic and Goldson looked promising, they played well together and chipped in with the odd goal. 2 up front for me hasn't been working. Defoe is not going to sit on the bench. I really don't know what Gerrards formation or selection is, this is very frustrating as wee can be hot and cold. I am a fan of Gerrard and obviously want him to succeed.

If this trend continues, and we drop more points away from home, how long before serious questions get asked?
Kilmarnock away in the cup? Are we confident the manager can get it right for this one?
How many free passes can his reputation guarantee him?
Too many mistakes in such a short time. For every positive, there are more negatives. Away results are dire. We should still be in the Europa league but we blew it. A number of the signings have been poor. For every Goldson there is a Worral. For every Kent there is a Siddique. Too many changes. We never have that settled squad look about us. I appreciate player get injured, but dropping form players to fit others in, where is the sense in that?

I agree with most of the above, while some of the poor results are poor decisions on Gerrard part, a good number of those poor results also come from the players he has put his trust in games to get a result and they themselves have not produced. I would say last night is a prime example, our team on paper was much better than Kilmarnock but if they don't produce then you get beat like we did last night, Gerrard put trust in 11 players last night that should have been able to go and win that game and they didn't produce, however the set up was all wrong in any case.

This is becoming a habit away from home poor result after poor result. Same players making the same mistakes. Plenty of possession but no bite. Crying out for a creative midfielder but instead go for 2 over the hill players who are clearly not match fit.

I have only one criticism of SG and it is simple, he does not know what is his best eleven. Once he establishes that, it is the core game in game out, with changes for injury or suspension, and perhaps at Celtic Park or Pittodrie, for tactical reasons.
Stevie G needs to stop being the Rangers Tinkerman.

Agreed, he has to pick his best 11 and go with it, he should have changed it at half time the shape was all wrong. No width meant predictably we were going through the middle which suits Killie, he could have took Defoe off for Candeias and reverted back to 4-3-3 4-5-1 depending on how you look at it, that would have given us width with Kent and Candeias letting Jack and Davis sit and try to control it with Arfield supporting Morelos. That may or may not have worked we will never know but my point is when you see it's not working fix it.

@Goalie yous never played us off the park. End of game stats show posession was near enough even, very lucky mcgregors goal was just offside and yous were playing against a team with no recognised LB and ST. Also Brown and Ntcham had not started together in God knows how many games.

If that is your best team, then good luck because the gap at top is only going to get bigger and bigger in Celtic favour.

A player with a well respected playing career at the very top such as Gerrard, is either very arrogant or inexperienced to mess about with tactics just to fit Defoe and Davies in. I personally believe had it not been for qualifying for Europa group stages, he would not of lasted this long.

Myles I wouldn’t say Stevie keeps failing, . Can’t be right all he time . even Brenda is wrong at times. then again, when he is is the same whipping he gets . west of Scotland mentality I’m afraid.
