8 League games left and Aaron Ramsey still not fit and not likely to be! You couldn't make it up and ultimately the 3 players signed in January could cost us the Title and not good enough.

Yately how can the three players cost the title if they don’t
Play.

I think this is our main problem last two or three transfer window have been very poor, I got sucked in with the Ramsey transfer and Diallo but it’s been a joke not one player brought in January window has made an impact and we needed that push towards the title, we are watching a team who have been to long without fresh blood we’ve went stale, I see on here Gio must be given time to rebuild but would you trust the men in charge of finding these players their record is very poor, I think the chances of us winning the league are slipping away we have to win both old firm games and I look at the last few performances and think it’s a lot to ask I’m not saying it’s impossible but their would need to be a huge improvement in our performances, if we played in the league like we do in Europe we wouldn’t be in this situation.

C'mon John, your better than that mate. Clearly if we had signed e. g 2 that actually went into the first team as regulars we would be better off. Which is what everyone was shouting for.
Or am I missing something?

Wasn't he declared fit by Gio and on the bench for the Aberdeen game?

We lost Patterson, we bought Zukowski as cover / for the future.
We got Sands on a loan with option to buy. Plays a variety of positions, ideal squad player.
We got Diallo from Man Utd. Impressed on his first game. And is now injured.
Ramsey was a gamble - but for the limited costs involved is an asset to the squad if fit.
We don't have loads of spare finances.
And to try and get 2 first team players in on January either takes a lot of money ( which we don't have ) or gamble on a young talent ( Diallo ) and a gamble on a certain starter with a history of injury ( Ramsey ) .

There is very little rotation in the forward areas, but plenty of tinkering at the back which has cost us big time. McGregor and Goldson should have been dropped over the past 3/ 4 weeks, as they have not performed. We had a young man in Lowrie, who looked the part, then for no reason he disappears, what is going on.

Irvger please tell me who plays instead of Goldston
Lowry disappears because he had C.V.

Recruitment has been poor no getting away from that. Celtic have been very sucessful especially asian market.

Yes. I fully understand the Ramsey thing is dispiriting to supporters. but I'm quietly confident that he may be up to speed for the last bit of our run in. remember, it's not just for us that he will be focused upon . but for Wales too for their vital March 24th World Cup play off game. he's had a long lay off and it sometimes happens that niggly injuries can come after such a time away. Even if only for the last 4/ 5 games his contribution could yet be vital. and a boost to the other squad members if he were to return.

Really not a strange question. I’d think it’s the ones who play that cost us league
Responsesible for selling goals. Not scoring goals.
If manager does not pick someone hard to see how they r to blame yately.

There will be huge pressure after the split, especially if we are level on points with that mob. We have the class and players who have been there before. Win all our games until the split and then it will be interesting!

If Ramsey doesn't get up to full speed, and his well-known injury issues curtail his starting opportunities, then his signing is going to be seen as nothing short of a Ross Wilson vanity exercise. There won't be any hiding from this, If this does indeed pan out that way. The player is running out of time to prove his worth with only 8 games left in the league. My fingers are crossed for the lad, but the clock is ticking!

I still believe that Ramsay was only signed to placate the fans with a 'big name signing' when we failed to sign any real quality players on a permanent basis. Sands for me is just a journeyman, ok as a squad player if you have a quality team round him, (we don't) . Many of us, myself included, were taken in by the loan signing of Amad, but sadly he isn't ready to play in games against the likes of Celtic. We sold Patterson for a good fee so for me there was money available to bring in one or maybe two better quality players. We can all debate what positions or what players but for me we needed a striker and possibly a winger although I can also see arguments for a centre back. bringing Itten back, for me, was an embarrassment. The guy was a total failure at his loan club and arguably one of our worst acquisitions in many years! We needed back up for Morelos and still do!

The ones who played cost us dearly? Surely our January signings could have possibly added some quality and possibly better than what we have. No doubt Ramsey is quality, but hasn’t been fit all season and we expect him to walk right into the team. Our team needed help and the guys signed, have not.

21.) 07 Mar 2022
07 Mar 2022 16:51:33
John, the whole point is the 3 players we signed should have been able to add quality to our squad never mind walk right into the team. Our team is stale and three good signings would have helped us freshen up? Gio has very little options with the 3 guys possibly not going to play. You only need to look at the Tim’s and the players they signed and are just about first names on their team sheet. That’s just my opinion mate and even watching our great club just now is hard work and to many players are there to long and the team needed a freshen up.

Yately sorry don’t agree. Obvious sand then zukowski were brought as cover especially at rb
Diallo right sided cover as most on here I’d Olsen no good.
Ramsey a gambythat costs us no money.

Agree the transfer window will cost us, at the time we were all happy with h the signings, at the time was hoping for another striker as we struggle to score with the amount of possession we have. Would like to see diablo getting a run in the tram before aribo.

Sorry to say but can't see any signings from the summer or January markets that have improved the 1st eleven apart from the occasional flash. Sorry Lundstram, apologises.

07 Mar 2022 19:49:31
John the signings in Jan weren’t good enough and could cost us the title I know where the guys are coming from when the say that, we should have brought in players that would have enhanced the 1st 11 but that’s not happened in fact our last 3/ 4 transfers windows have been poor big time.

A fit Ramsay goes straight into our starting 11. Everyone knew he wasn’t match fit, just unlucky he picked up an injury. He’s a player that under normal circumstances we could never dream of affording, loan or not.
