People say gavin Rae was our worst captain in history I'd say its tav gavin Rae was captain for a short spell and didn't over see the players cheating their manager and gavin rae didn't come out with statements like we can't handle players in our faces etc (pathetic) people will look at tavs goals but what I'd say is he's shipped as many goals as he has scored so yeah in my eyes he's got the title of rangers worst ever captain ?.

Tav was our best defender yesterday most clearances and interceptions but since we drew he’s getting called out for king getting run ragged. Tav scored our only goal he’s a great player. People just turn on him when we have a bad result. Lunny Morelos etc all played a lot worse than tav who was actually ok. If Wright could keep his header down everyone would be saying a goal and assists for tav and a 2-1 win but it wasn’t to be.

To call a guy who’s been with us from the low leagues to a European final is a joke maybe it’s no the captain who’s the worst but the rangers team as a whole you can’t just single out one guy for a team struggling especially when the guy scores and assists every week he’s an attacking full back it’s the modern games way. Doig who everyone says we should of signed is also no the best defender.

Thank goodness the WC break is here, time to recuperate, get some players back and come out fighting again. Was a poor display yesterday with only Tav and McGregor getting pass marks. It is hard to play solid with no centre backs.

I don't think that Tav is the problem. When we have been most successful we have had a team stacked full of Leaders. We have had a team of players that were winners, that didn't accept losing. The Team that won the League under Gerrard and that qualified for the European Final had enough guys that understood what winning meant. But we have failed totally to replace McGregor, Arfield and Davis, we have failed to replace Aribo, we have allowed contracts to be run down, we have signed a bunch of players that were seriously injury prone or that couldn't lace the boots of those mentioned above. If our Board can't see where the problems lie then sadly nothing will change!

Or he would be getting it. So we drop tav who’s making up the 6 goals and 5 assists he’s contributed? We would be third without tavs numbers but people would rather blame him when it’s obvious teams are targeting king because he’s inexperienced and still raw.

Gvb if you think Devine will do any better than tav your at it. He would get bullied the same as young king they arrest ready for the step up. Tav made a good amount of clearness yesterday if it wasn’t for him we would of got beat 100 percent.

Thers a reason Tav is still at Rangers, no one down south rate him, he can't defend that's meant to be his first job, why does he have to take everything, very rarely put in a good corner always the same.

Bassey1 well said, Andy Robertson at Liverpool is not a great defender either, but his forages forward have produced some good numbers for Liverpool. Every time it gets mentioned moving Tavernier forward as an attacking midfielder it gets total derision from some of our supporters, he is a football player first and foremost and as such should be able to play in various rolls. I only played at Amateur level, but in that time, I played RWB, LWB, CH, Midfield and on a few occasions Centre Forward and enjoyed every position.

All I'm saying is try experimenting different things with certain players, what do we have to lose, more to gain as far as I'm concerned.

Trent can’t defenced Patterson can’t defend Doig can’t defend hickey can’t defend they are attacking full backs. Tav is 33 why would he even wanty go to England at his age. You all forget we got tav from England he’s already played there.

Good point mate Robertson can’t defend for toffee but liverpool fans don’t attack him because they know what he offers going forward. Our defence has been terrible since goldson got injured the same person people made out no one wanted it’s getting embarrassing if no one from England comes for a player they are now crap in our fans eyes. Aribo went and has been hopeless but since a English team got him we somehow miss him lol only big miss is bassey and his strength and determination.

Gavin rae won nothing at rangers he is cleary the worse captain and to for me tav is a better captain than lee Wallace so this worse captain patter is horrendous.

Bassey1, You are correct re King before him being taken off injured, The big lad up front for St Mirren was bossing him. I’ve been saying for months that we need Two no nonsense CH that won’t be bossed about.

What CH players we have at the moment are not up to standards required at Ibrox, We have always in my 50 years of supporting Rangers had one at least CH that would put his body on the line, Todays players are weak as water. ???????????.
