Imo big Balogun best player on park today, thought his 1v1 defending on Nouble was outstanding. Rabbi Matondo was terrific when he came on hopefully he can kick on from here and take some confidence. All the subs having an impact was very pleasing also.

Cifuentes looked the part too also Souttar seemed commanding again.
Sima and Matondo did well surprisingly but Dessers looked a bit lost at times regarding decision making - hopefully its just a spell and he comes out of it soon.

A lot more encouraging signs today. Cifu, cantwell and rasking surely going forward are the mid 3. Defence was a lot better. Balogun and souttar excellent. Butland looks a great signing. Forward areas still to click. Matondo showed why we still need some pace up top. Still trying to work out if dessers is unfit, lacking confidence or is a dumpling.

Dessers isn’t looking great, never wanted him. But still early days and needs more time. DeBoer says he’s a “confidence player”. If he doesn’t start scoring semi-regularly and is eventually replaced in starting 11, he may not have the mentality to come back from that.

Souttar and cifu for me tho balogun was solid I went crazy when we signed him but that’s because of his fitness he will be an asset if he stays fit.

Dessers didn't even have that bad a game, good link up for the first, unlucky with his header and a blocled shot, also played a great pass to lammers who shouldve scored. Again though he had a couple of dodgy passes which he needs to stop. If we had scored the chances we had today it wouldve been 7 or 8.
