I have to say I am a non believer. I think the defeat to Aberdeen was the final nail in the coffin. I am a realist and not a fantasist…. I hope my fantasies do come true though.

To be fair John I think the people that said the league was gone said so while MB was still in charge.
I didn't think it was as celtic will drop more points and I certainly believe we can beat them home and away.
The improvement since big Phil came in with the same players is remarkable.
Long may it continue.

We can win it, it will be difficult though, really looking forward to see if clement gets backing in Jan. we need to get players fit and able to play, guys like Lawrence are critical, massive difference having most available to be selected and use when players are tiring.

Pity about the injury situation but it is what it is. I've been really impressed with the fight in this squad, a fight that didn't seem to be evident under beale. Back to the old days with Walter and players busting a gut for him. Seems to be a real unity among the guys too with real camaraderie. Great to see. yes John, we can definitely win this league as celtic are definitely faltering at the moment. Let's hope the six nil knocks the stuffing right out of them and they start dropping points on Sunday. Shout out for young McAusland, thought he was brilliant when he came on. I know you are not really a fan, John, but I must say the lad has impressed me so far.

I think we can still win the league despite the poor start under Beale. The team seems transformed since Clement came in. If we qualify for the knockout stages of the Europa League and win the League Cup (I think we'll do both) then that would be a great springboard for the second half of the season. I agree 2 quality signings, a centre mid of real quality. I’m not convinced by raskin just yet and Jacko could break do wan again at any point. And a quality centre back to partner Goldson.
John which 2 positions do u wish to see filled and do u mean starters I take it u do?
Other than that maybe an old pro as back up to Danilo on a short term deal til summer when we re evaluate and rebuild.

Just lastly I believe we can win the league I sincerely do, and I’m shocked I’m saying it.
I’m very much a realist in all things and I think what we’ve seen so far from us and them that we could win our game in hand and the next OF game and suddenly it’s 2 points with 2 OF games to go.
We may drop points and so may they.

But the question is could we win the league and I think it’s an easy yes we could. So could they. It’s not over yet by any means.

It's looking more and more possible. There is a huge difference in performance and overall effort. A couple coming back from injury e. g Lawrence, Cifuentes with matondo and Roofe to come.
Fly in the ointment could be Livi on the dreaded plastic, after a high tempo Euro game.

I always said we couldn't win the league with Beale and his "style" of play (which as best I can tell was f*ck about with the ball slow and boring, let the block form, give the ball to one of your "flair players" in the final third eventually and hope they can do something or give it to a fullback to ping long diags into the box), I stand by that.

Getting a proper manager in we've seen the difference already in playing style and he still has, by his own admission, lots still to do.

7 points behind was massive with a team out of form and a manager out of his depth. 5 points isn't with a team on the up and a manager who knows what he's doing.
