Amati Sorry I don’t agree . it’s been like this for decades .

amato, imo, this has far more to do withaberdeens deep rooted hatred of rangers, itgoes back decades now and has turned into something even the decent aberdenn fans don't understand, there's pubs with toilets in aberdeen with rangers players faces in the urinals, they sing about rangers fans dying and serious injuries, to say they don't desoise rangers is just very naive, this has manifested itself into the many managers who came to realise if they beat rangers, or even took a point from rangers, then they would have an easy few weeks, thus the dressing roon before playing us is like the alamo, they despise rangers, they often don't even fight against celtic, results like
6 nil 7 nil and nine nil tells the true story.

All teams raise there game on occasion just like they have poor performances on occasion. Many reasons for that, rivalry, game live on Sky, the occasion, revenge, home support. i'm sure most pros try to give a good account of themselves but to say every player or team are not capable of a boost in performance is not true. I would argue when we lost Jimmy Bell we seen a improved performance with our team playing on pure emotion against RB. Is there more hatred from Aberdeen against Rangers compared to Celtic, probably. Could that have effect on Aberdeen's performance, probably, if the crowd was jeed up more than normal. Players are humans and not robots so emotion will have an effect on performance. Its why quite a few world records are broken in finals and at the Olympics and not down the local running track.

Guys, if Rangers turn up at Pittodrie with the correct mindset we'll gun Aberdeen as well. When it comes to the Cup Final we should also win if we apply ourselves. They were dreadful yesterday and Robson's jacket will be on a shaky peg. There's a reason they're closer to the foot of the table than the top.

Amato had many a debate with my star, in my humble opinion he'll never hold a grudge over a debate mate not a chance, even if it got heated,
Maybe some would but not him.

I mind taking a point at Ibrox, the Celtic fans in our side that day were genuinely unrecognisable - must've ran an extra 50%.

I also know that when you are playing a side that your fans hate you are 100% aware and it absolutely brings more out in your game.

Same can be said when you play a pointless dead rubber, you naturally struggle to reach your top levels.

It's human nature.

losing by multiple figures regularly against one half of glasgow while fughting like tigers against the other, always, tells its own story, even livingstone or motherwell ir ross county never lose like aberdeen lose to celtic.

The blame us for Scottish footballs woes when it's Thier own greed.

btw, johnny hayes has scored against celtic before, but on that day at parkhead, his shot past the post raised alarm bells, i remember bringing it uo and someone on here immediateltpy said they felt the same, he had put the ball past the post when he had a clear open goal, maybe he didn't try to miss, i thought he did, i still think that, he won't be the first nor last to do this kind of thing, , its not a new thing to happen, not as much as what used to occur certainly, but still lots of players can't control they're loyalties, especially in scotland.

The Sheep shaggers always raise their game agaist us. Their performances against us are fueled by a deep rooted hatred for us.

Sorry Amato but I disagree. as repeatedly clarified it's not that they deliberately throw games but they certainly are more motivated against us. And that is not unusual as happens in derbies across the world or with rivalries. Many clubs raise their performance levels against certain others, whether due to players or driven on by the fans.

It's also why many other fans get frustrated with their club that they put in the effort against us, but then not against others. That's certainly the case with Aberdeen. Time and again, even their fans feel games against us mean more than others.
