Hey guys hope yous are well. i haven't posted for a while I've seen many people commenting on Shankland personally I don't see the hype. He's scored goals in the spl but done nothing in Belgium which Clement knows well. As hearts are saying they want 5 million for him there's no chance that's happening. I remember Gerrard had a slight interest when we could have had him for 250k when he was younger that definitely was something we should have taken a gamble on. The question would be if not Shankland then who should we sign that's something for Clement and the scouting team. Personally I think Shankland at 28 and that price for our pricing range dosent make sense. Would he score the same amount of goals playing against teams that play low block week in week out? Our model should be signing young talent and promoting from the youth. We didn't give Robbie ure enough chances and Anderlecht have obviously seen something in the boy to sign him. Lovelace had a good game against st Mirren before his injury and we should be looking at giving him the chance as a cameo. Along with other youngsters if we're cruising in games we should trust in some of these guys if not then there's no point in paying these guys a few grand a week. I'm positive with a full transfer window and the full backing of our board Clement will get it right. I'd happily stick my neck out and say that Shankland isn't happening but again that's only my opinion. I love everyone's opinions and great to see people's views it's the first thing I do when I wake. Regarding Yilmaz there's definitely a player there I'd wait until the summer but if the rumours are true that the boys unsettled then I'd sell at a good price certainly more than we paid but I would have thought we would have sorted it a lot quicker. Onwards and upwards boys this league certainly isn't over ?.
