Hear Hear. That was one of the saddest days of my life when I heard Supercoop had died, I seen him score some great goals, but the one that sticks in my mind was against Hibs at Ibrox if memory serves me correctly it was a league cup semi final 2cnd leg, what a goal, at least he got to play for the team he loved and boy could he play. R.I.P Davie

I remember seeing coop playing against us when he was at Clydebank It was 3-3 if memory serves but he was outstanding and I remember on the way up the road coop was the main talking point and then he came to rangers. Watched him I a cup replay against Dundee Utd where he ran riot, as he went on to do many times. Oh for a player of that class again. David cooper that's what I call a legend.

Aye he was a special talent. Was at the League Cup Final in 1986 against you know who when we got a penalty with 5 minutes to go. It was 1-1 at the time (Durrant and McClair had scored the goals). Davie just strolled up at stroked it by Bonner with the famous left peg. He wouldn't have got near it with telescopic arms! A true legend, sadly missed. RIP Davie

Just to reiterate all your memories guys of super cooper, his keepy upy goal against celtic in the drybrough cup final was my favourite coop goal of all time although I rate all his goals that you guys have mentioned above as I've witnessed them all, his stunning free kick against aberdeen at hampden in the league cup final is my 2nd favourite, honestly I heard it ripping into the net from the rangers end which of course was the opposite end of where his goal was scored, I remember jim leighton saying to coop after that game that he'd got a hand to coop's free kick and coop replied immediately saying 'aye on the way back oot the net' brilliant! Heaven will have a wonderful team with coop as left winger, what a genius, a magical footballer, god bless davie cooper abd thanks for the special memories you gave me, your likes will never again be seen at ibrox, for the record I reckon coop would be worth around 60million quid for a player of his magical, god given ability in today's current transfer market, rip super coop!

Jr) agree with every bit of your post mate, and yes 60m would be a great starting point, the biggest clubs around Europe would be queuing up for the man's signature that's not to say this unassuming genius would have left us, also enjoyed reading everyone's memory of the great man, once seen never forgot treasured memories.

Remember he played against Spain in 1985 Wc qualifier, down left side with Arthur Albiston, Dalglish goal and two Mo Johnston goals remembered from that game, but Coop terrorised Spanish full back(Tendillo?), and looked class act. also game at Ibrox against Dortmund n 1982, where he tortured full back and set up goal for DJ. and finally game against Dun Utd at Tannadice around 82/83, where he had Narey and Malpas in traction.
