A lot of my mates I go to the football with want derek mcinnes to be the next rangers manager for the start of next season,I continually ask them WHY because as far as I'm concerned stuart mccall should be made our next permanent manager now which would allow him to start planning for next season, there's nothing between mccall & mcinnes as managers and mccall should get the nod as he currently has the jersey,so to speak,I actually think mccall edges it over mcinnes for me as at motherwell he had much less of a budget than mcinnes and continually built new motherwell teams with no dough as he continually had to sell his best players at motherwell, this is my take on it anyway!

If he gets us up, it would be pretty tough on Macall to not be given the job on a permanent basis. My own preference would be MacInnes too,but if we get promoted from where we were, should anyone other than Macall have a look in? Who knows what this regime have in mind. Cathro, Macall even Magath, as long as we are playing winning football, preferably with style, I will support whoever is at the sharp end.

Hi Jr. Its Stuart McCall all the way for me,i Remember a few years ago I went to watch Plymouth v Sheffield united at home park he was assistant manager to Neil Warnock, McCall was out on the pitch before the game putting the players through their paces,i was standing near to the tunnel and on the way off the pitch he noticed my Rangers top, he came straight over and spent the next ten minutes talking about everything Rangers, he absolutely loves this club,i know that just because someone loves a club that it doesn't necessarily make them a good manager, but I've no doubts whatsoever that Stuart McCall is the right man for the job of taking Rangers back to the top, it might take a wee bit longer than a lot of fans want, but he will get us there,i just hope some fans will be patient, and allow him the time to build his own team.

McCall seems a great guy and must be a good coach as he has a proven track record but my only concern is that he may be too honest to a fault, a bit like Kevin Keegan and when things get difficult he might just jack it in. Hope I'm wrong but this is just my opinion.
