The way he spoke after Walter Smith's death I honestly thought he understood what a great club this was and it was in his heart. I will be shocked when his move to Villa along with all his back room staff is announced. It leaves a bad taste and I genuinely think he's making a mistake and will come to regret not seeing this season out and leaving the club in a strong position.

What about this scenario. AV need a young, big name manager and SG is interested purely to challenge himself in the EPL BUT a pre-requisite in the contract is AV get a caretaker in till the summer and SG finishes what he has planned with us I. e take the trophies, set up CL place and team structure before leaving? Would suit his mentality in not leaving us the fans and team in the sh£te and keeps his integrity in place?

His words in the last week or 2 convinced me he loves Rangers and all connected. I wonder if he's seeked advice from Klop, who has maybe advised him to take the job. If he does do a Brenda then I'd be hugely disappointed. Telling us 1 thing then a week later jumping ship. I'm still thinking (hoping) he stays.

{Ed0666's Note - do you really think a man of integrity like klopp who finishes his contracts would advise someone to walk out on a team mid season?

Bit confused after what he said a few weeks ago, ie settled and happy. However that can be improved upon as he now might be within commuting distance to his family which may have swayed him, now back home and over the F_ (&ing moon.

Agree with all of the above. The way he has spoken about his love for rangers and how happy and settled he was recently makes me think there must be something going on behind the scenes for him to go to a club 16th in the epl? Told key players will be sold? No transfer budget in january to strengthen? These things will not match his ambition as a manager and may well have made his mind up. Time will tell.
