This might be an unpopular opinion but I'd give Balogun an extension, he always plays his heart out for jersey. He was solid I thought yesterday, better than Goldson by far. He was right in there removing Diomande and others when they needed to calm down and avoid bookings.

He won't be first choice but we need a few experienced heads in the dressing room, especially that can come in now and again and do a job when required.

Agree Laudrup, I’d give him another year as backup. Great character and, as things stand, arguably the best CH at the club.

Don’t think it would be unpopular but the only doubt for me is his fitness over a season. Rarely let's us down and as fourth choice I’d have no problem with that. He’s the least of our problems.

Tav and Goldson must go from that back line and thankfully BB is no longer our concern.

He's played well when called upon, but I wouldn't look to extend his deal.

Totally agree. LB and BD were great at the back yesterday. Got the jitters every time ball went down there left as the winger had the measure of Tav and they tried to exploit it when they could.

Hes good to cover a starting cb who needs a rest for a game here and there, but he can't be counted on for a run of 3+ games.

Dont think he is paid very much compared to others, but if available and called on he hasn't let us down very often, I'd give him another year.

I wouldn't be too against Balogun getting a new contract. decent 4/ 5 choice cb, at low a wage.

Balogun style of play is what we need, need to find a younger version. He was good yesterday I agree. Also thought with balogun next to him Davies was good.
