I know a lot of posters don't rate the MLS, but heard a new name being banded about today - Mihailovic.

Not from anyone connected with the club, so take with a pinch of salt.

EHL2020

1.) 29 May 2024 18:34:10
Not a name been bandied about but Christos Tzolis was impressive playing for Fortuna Dusseldorf in Bundesliga 2 this season.
Currently on loan from Norwich City.

2.) 29 May 2024 18:40:02
Copland, according to the chat today PC wanted to bring him in in January from AZ but we didn't have the funds - but he's a big fan of him.

14 Jan 2024 10:39:37
Some interesting chat today that's given some insight in to the mentality of the new Management Team.

Barron, deal was agreed in principle and we immediately revoked it when they asked for more money. Chat today was that they are trying to honour the original deal but we're not progressing as PC has questioned the mentality of the player.

McKenna, we spoke to player and agents, were very much interested and were willing to meet the provisional demands - we gave them a deadline to respond and this wasn't met - so we're moving on.

There's are a rumour that a number of the injury prone players have been advised that they no longer have a future as they've not been managing their recovery process sufficiently.

Looks like PC only wants players at the club who are 100% committed to being there.

EHL2020

1.) 14 Jan 2024 11:05:57
If this is all true (not doubting you) I have no problem with it. For too long we’ve had injury-prone passengers and players not up to the mentality required at rangers.

Full faith in bad bad bald phil - he clearly has the right mentality and if he doubts a potential incoming player has the commitment/ mentality required we should be moving on.

2.) 14 Jan 2024 11:11:12
Thanks EHL apreciate the info mate ??

I think cole McKinnon could do a job for us similar to that of Conor Barron,
We know it’s left centre back we’re looking at but again I’ll say, Lewis mayo is someone we should be looking more at. We have a buy back option and he’s one of best defenders in the league.
I actually prefer him to Souttar. Plays on the right of the defence but as back up to a first pick he’s a great addition.

Also like shankland and Danny Armstrong.
Lennon miller is one od like to sign and loan back for 1 year.

3.) 14 Jan 2024 11:42:09
Don’t think we will get miller to be honest stevie we have tried a few times.

4.) 14 Jan 2024 11:59:39
There are always these kind of rumours about the injury prone players.

5.) 14 Jan 2024 12:00:20
I doubt this is true but if it is well done pc.

6.) 14 Jan 2024 12:04:48
Will29, agree 100%.

Also, this is just rumours from some coaching sessions this morning - could be close to the truth, could be miles away from reality.

I only tend to post the rumours from the guys I tend to believe though.

7.) 14 Jan 2024 12:05:32
StevieG2 - tend to agree, think our squad should be bolstered by some of the younger squad and some tried and tested SPL players.

8.) 14 Jan 2024 12:08:38
That’s very interesting information EHL, it’s about time the management took control. We are Rangers and players shouldn’t be allowed to backtrack with us?

9.) 14 Jan 2024 12:57:23
He's trying to create an elite squad, you can clearly see that. He understands what the club demands and it would seem his own demands are on par. Can't wait to see what the future holds because I think he'll take us places.

10.) 14 Jan 2024 13:29:33
Mi info which I said last week is we have stepped back from Barron for now on clement say so.

11.) 14 Jan 2024 13:37:10
I don’t doubt or have an issue with clement wanting the injury prone players away from us, but I doubt he’s telling them that early January.

The chances are between now and the summer you will need them at some point and by telling them now that they will be away, there's a risk they will down tools. He’s not going to tell Roofe for example that he has no future at the club then ask him to come off the bench and rescue a game for us with a goal.

Based on the current market and the options in our squad, it looks very much like PC is stuck with the majority of what he’s got until the summer. He won’t want to upset anyone within in, he’ll need to utilise them all until he can make changes.

12.) 14 Jan 2024 13:37:15
Encouraging if true. The number of injury prone players signed and the number of times that injured players return only to be injured again almost immediately has been a concern for some time.
I'm encouraged by the professionalism of this management team but they will need considerable support from the Board if we are to reach the levels that can be achieved.

13.) 14 Jan 2024 13:39:18
Hope we don’t cut our nose off to spite our face with Barron as I think he’d be very good for us. If it is true he won’t be happy with his new agents for pushing for more money.

14.) 14 jan 2024 13:59:25
every good info as always ehl,

15.) 14 Jan 2024 14:22:35
Fruitbear, from what I gather it's not a blanket approach to all our injured players.

PC appears to be very strict in terms of his application of sports science and the rumour is a number of the injured players have either neglected to follow their recovery plans exactly or have chosen to follow advice from their own fitness teams - for those players, I believe we now have a zero tolerance approach.

16.) 14 Jan 2024 14:35:44
Good info mate, as I said I don’t doubt PC will cut the deadwood loose. Just think he will (unfortunately) to work with what’s there until the summer.

It’s good we seem to have a manager that doesn’t take any passengers.

17.) 14 Jan 2024 15:09:37
Thanks for that information mate. Great post.

18.) 14 Jan 2024 15:35:53
Barron Watson and miller would be some midfield in a few years even if 1or2 make the grade would be money well spent.

19.) 14 Jan 2024 16:53:00
Injury prone list not, exhaustive
Roofe
Souttar
Lawrence

So what you’re saying is they are finished at us?

20.) 14 Jan 2024 18:17:00
That’s exactly what he’s saying Ravers! ?

Although Souttar isn’t injured a lot? He’s just bang avg.

21.) 14 Jan 2024 21:19:11
Could add Yimaz and balogun and Jack to that list then?
Maybe Matondo?
Danilo?
Davies.

22.) 15 Jan 2024 01:26:51
Players that are out of contract in summer must know there self that they will be leaving, as there has been no offers/ talks of new contracts, so if required to play would you not try your best to attract more interest come summer, unless you have something lined up and you don't want to risk further injuries. we have had a few like that in past.

23.) 15 Jan 2024 01:56:24
Balogun, Jack, Roofe, Mclaughlin, Barisicare all away in 6 months, along with Lundstram unless lunny signs an extension.

would not sell Danilo, Matondo or Yilmaz all young and talented, sort of players we should be keeping, if they can stay fit and hit there best form.

Gofur i reckon your right mate, Don't see much coming from Silva, unless PC can work his magic on the lad and get him scoring again regularly.

24.) 15 Jan 2024 08:34:07
Laudrup lunny will stay imo. so will yilmaz come summer amd u lost me at matondo talented. Bang average. 1 of the highest wages and not really doing a lot needs moved on.

25.) 15 Jan 2024 15:08:35
For me Matondo has had his chance and hasn't taken it. If we could get decent money for him I would gladly take it. Unless he is free from his injuries, (which I suspect is not the case then I would also be looking to move Souttar on if there was any interest.
We need to have players that we can have for a full season, not players that we know are injury prone when we sign them.

26.) 15 Jan 2024 18:31:01
I think you can put Clement calling up youth to first team tells you he wants a look at these guys first.

For me it means he wants to try maximise his budget.

02 Jan 2024 14:50:36
Met up with a few of the youth coaches with Rangers and Scotland last night and got some gossip - most of which has already been shared.

Barron is as good as done and will come in this month if we can move someone on.

McKenna is in the works, but couple of complications are wage demands and he wants to join a new club now - and we need to move players on first.

Shankland isn't being actively explored.

King and McCrorie have good loan offers from SPL clubs, but both moves are complicated as the clubs are restricted on the number of loan players they can bring in so may not happen until the end of the window.

Devine has loan offers but not from a level that Rangers want.

Lastly a new name, a LB currently on loan at St Mirren - Thierry Small, who we are apparently keeping a watchful eye on.

EHL2020

1.) 02 Jan 2024 16:41:16
EHL, i don't think we'll be signing scott mckenna unfortunately mate ? Celtic are in discussions with mckenna and his agent and are prepared to sign him now, as opposed to signing him on a pre contract ? Middlesbrough also have held discussions with mckenna's agent, no mention of rangers talking to him at this moment in time with celtic seemingly big favourites to sign him ?.

2.) 02 jan 2024 16:42:00
i like your posts mate, you know your stuff and i'm grateful for the info, i'm surprised you say mckenna is still a possibility as i thought as soon as celtic showed interest that would be that, but ma6be they havnt spoken to him?

3.) 02 Jan 2024 17:20:17
Great info mate
Certainly interesting month ahead.

4.) 02 Jan 2024 19:58:29
Id be delighted if McKenna went to them. I don’t think he offers anything better than we have currently.

5.) 02 Jan 2024 22:33:00
Been linked with small since last season.

27 Oct 2023 19:42:56
Had an interesting catch up with some friends who work at Rangers and they said that a lot of what PC is doing behind the scenes is very similar to what GVB and his team tried to do - which a lot of the players didn't take to.

EHL2020

1.) 27 Oct 2023 19:52:31
A lot of the players we have need moved on so that doesn't concern me. If they can't better themself or cope with changes and demands then cheerio.

2.) 27 Oct 2023 19:55:44
New manager same ideas?
You never know they might actually play for him.

3.) 27 Oct 2023 20:27:20
Too many auld guard had it too easy for too long n hit periods of underperformance with little too no cociqunce, also to many wit too much influence but not the play too back it up

Don't like it move on

Nobody's bigger than the team

Tune up or tune out.

4.) 27 Oct 2023 21:39:14
The core of this team have a history of throwing the manager under the bus and need to be replaced if PC wants a long and successful time as Rangers manager, because as we have seen over the last three years as soon as the going gets tough these same core of players will down tools.

5.) 27 Oct 2023 22:38:33
Big difference in character. Gio was a pushover. Clement won't tolerate nonsense.

6.) 28 Oct 2023 04:28:33
Look in my complete personal opinion from the info I’ve gathered. Gio’s downfall was completely on partly being too lenient on player performances and partly being too defensive minded when setting up against teams we should be beating.

I have heard nothing of this around Clement of yet. I feel people aren’t completely understanding the rubbish show that Beale left him. Hopefully Clement can sort at least the majority of this out in Jan but it probably will take longer.

I know people won’t want to hear/ accept/ acknowledge it but at the very least our club has been a rubbish show since around appointing Beale (definitely longer as well) . But as usual we are left to pick up the pieces and trying to move forward.

7.) 28 Oct 2023 04:35:28
We need to give Clement the time to change things as he sees fit. A section of our fans just don’t seem happy with anything the club do! I, personally still think we could do at least a double this year!

8.) 28 Oct 2023 08:26:09
We have not had a quality manager since were kicked down the divisions, but I believe we now have one, although early days, and we need to give him time. Some of our players will prosper under PC, and some will have to be replaced if they don't show it on the pitch. Next few games will give us a good idea of the progress our new man will make.

9.) 28 Oct 2023 08:33:02
There is a major difference this time. The guys that were primarily involved in the Clement appointment, Bisgrove and Bennett, involved Souness in the process so you had three professionals. In the past I would suggest that this wasn't the case.
Some of our old Board, that are no longer there, were as much of a problem as the manager.
Thankfully we now have a proven manager, probably the first since Walter, (and I say that with the greatest respect for Stephen Gerrard) .
With the right players, (and I agree that we need to steadily replace the old faces), we should look forward to a period of success, but he will need time and he will need everyone behind him.

10.) 28 Oct 2023 08:56:55
Gio's downfall apparently started during the preseason trip to Portugal some of the players weren't happy with the rules he set in place for the trip.

11.) 28 Oct 2023 10:28:57
What player threw the manager under the buss? You wanted Beale out now he’s gone yer blaming players our fans are always looking for someone to hate.

12.) 28 oct 2023 15:02:57
you just love the old “ our fans “ abuse raskin.

13.) 28 Oct 2023 12:14:02
Board need to make clear to long servers follow manager and do what he wants

We can only keep swapping manager for so long before board realise it's long serving clique players that are the problem.

14.) 28 oct 2023 20:11:11
we don't swap any managers, , no manager worth his salt will allow any clique to buckle him amd the board will support a good manager,

15.) 29 Oct 2023 01:56:45
So true TT1212. If this happened in a normal work place. Chaos!

16.) 30 Oct 2023 16:11:48
White horse, that is why in any Business the Board and in particular the chairman has to be 100% behind any new appointment. I have seen it personally, (during my working life I went into underperforming Companies with a remit to turn them round, where I had 100% commitment from the Board and the Chairman it worked. It's exactly the same for Clement, he has the job of turning round a non performing Business, (unfortunately his job is much more complicated, I could just get rid of non performers irrespective of what level they were at with the total commitment of the Board, and I could replace them with a top team, sadly he doesn't have that level of flexibility) .

Managed to watch most team in the Euros so far and it's safe to say that we're miles behind in terms of our footballing philosophy.

We have a squad with virtually no width and creativity.

EHL2020

1.) 17 Jun 2024 21:15:14
I might be wrong and made to eat my words. But I’ve watched most games too
I said to a friend Poland would give the Dutch’s right good game, which they did
England. For me didn’t exactly light the heather on fire. France so far have not been brilliant either.

A lot of the big teams haven’t been great - Spain played well. But we played the opening game against the host nation, who was Germany renowned for being a very tough team over many years. We possibly looked shell-shocked and nervous.

I’m willing to give my country support for the next game and expect a different mentality focus and a determination that we never seen agent Germany who were a superior team on the night.

I reckon they would have wiped the floor with England and France so far on this showing. Even Italy weren’t great and neither were the Dutch.

we were unlucky, kicking off the tournament against the Germans who were well fired up and against a German team who all came lay top football. They will go far. That’s for sure. Remember I said that.

Let’s see how we fare in our next two games before righting our selves off.

2.) 17 Jun 2024 21:42:56
Austrians are giving it a good go against the French, not a bad game.

3.) 17 Jun 2024 21:46:20
Agree stig.

4.) 17 Jun 2024 21:47:06
I think spain have looked the best team so far ?.

5.) 18 Jun 2024 06:13:50
It’s 1st round of games long way to go teams don’t want to peak already. France usually struggle
On 1st game and get better as it goes on.

6.) 18 Jun 2024 06:52:26
There's absolutely no doubt for me spain will out manovere/ pass any other country on their game ?If spain click up front, i believe they'll be very hard to stop and i've not even bet them to win it ?No country can pass the ball as well as spain imo ? If they have a cutting edge then they're the team to beat for me ?.

7.) 18 Jun 2024 08:53:22
Germany impressed me too Stig in every way possible.
We were unfortunate to get them in the first match given the way they approached the game.
I'd b a bit surprised if they took the same intensity into their next 2 group matches but they will still want to finish top of the group.

8.) 18 Jun 2024 10:16:56
I've got a sneaky feeling that Portugal will be the team to beat.

9.) 18 Jun 2024 11:38:19
Hard to gauge after one match, France played a good Austrian side, Germany played a poor Scottish side. Once the knockout phase starts that's when the cream will rise. I suspect the big four but then Portugal might cause a surprise again. Basically what I’m saying is I haven’t got a clue who will win, England need to stop trying to defend a one goal lead when they get it or they will come unstuck, I think that’s a Southgate thing.

01 Jun 2024 20:40:54
Just spent two days with Scottish Rugby who are looking at how they can improve their use of player data.

The set up they have in Scottish Rugby is excellent, but one thing stood out from speaking to them - the SFA are actually seen as a laughing stock.

Some of the stories and observations about the leaders of our game were genuinely embarrassing.

EHL2020

1.) 01 Jun 2024 22:26:48
Are you surprised?

2.) 02 Jun 2024 12:12:58
Of course. that's a Rugby v Football perspective. No surprise.

30 May 2024 16:23:40
I see Red Bull are investing in Leeds.

Always wondered what our fan bases reaction would be to this.

Would we object to being RB Rangers?

EHL2020

1.) 30 May 2024 18:10:52
I think that would be fabulous. Plus, up to £10m/ year would steady us up. This is no time for the club to stand still. I reckon Ibrox would be attractive too many, many sponsors.

2.) 30 May 2024 18:12:02
They ain’t RB Leeds just a sponsor on tops and would take that any day but not RB rangers.

3.) 30 May 2024 18:26:35
If it's TRUE that red bull gives you wingers I hope they invest in us.

4.) 30 May 2024 20:44:12
We need to start thinking of ways to catch up i wouldn't be against something like that.

5.) 30 May 2024 21:02:20
Gazza, not yet they aren't -but it's more than a sponsor, they've taken a minority share in the club.

It honestly wouldn't bother me if we were to be be RB Rangers or Rangers RB.

12 May 2024 15:24:12
I don't think we'll get the massive rebuild people are hoping for.

I think the squad for next season will be;

GK: New Signing / McCrorie

LB: Yilmaz / Jefte
LCB: New Signing / Yfeko
RCB: Goldson / Souttar
RB: Tav / Sterling

CDM: New Signing / Jack / King
CM: Diomande / Raskin / New Signing / Rice

LW: Cortes / Lowry
ST: Danilo / New Signing / Lovelace
RW: New Signing / McCausland

Biggest change for me is that I don't think we'll line up with a "number 10" next season.

Think we'll line up like we did under Stevie G and like Celtic do.

EHL2020

1.) 12 May 2024 15:59:51
??? Tav, Goldson and Jack! So, 2nd place again, is it?

2.) 12 May 2024 16:10:37
Yip, I have a feeling all three will still be there next season.

3.) 12 May 2024 16:16:50
Good god why keep Jack CAN’T play.

4.) 12 May 2024 16:29:27
RTr, unless someone wants offer money for them, unfortunately they will still be here.
God help us.

5.) 12 May 2024 16:55:26
Sorry EHL I'm not normally one for rude responses to others but that's the biggest lot of crap I've seen.

So we're selling dessers, letting roofe leave and not signing a striker.

Lowrys not even a left winger for a start as well. There's no doubt jack will be leaving as well.

6.) 12 May 2024 17:24:47
I wouldn't extend his contract John, but I have a feeling the club will.

7.) 12 May 2024 17:25:16
Yip Bar72 - that's my fear too.

8.) 12 May 2024 17:26:00
Scotty55, maybe take some more time to read the original message before replying.

9.) 12 may 2024 17:37:05
there will be plenty going and coming,

10.) 12 May 2024 18:19:24
Jack not been offered new contract. Think lundstrum was only one ooc that got offered. There all away. Almoat certain goldson be away aswel.

11.) 12 May 2024 18:27:58
Stopped reading when you said Ryan Jack lol. Absolutely no chance he’s given another deal.

12.) 12 May 2024 18:30:28
Anyone talking about keeping any they nuggets are for the watching Kent n Alfie fans Dessers destroyed Alfie's full rangers career in a season, Tav you happy being a sub next season if no move on record breaking losers man wake up man.

13.) 12 May 2024 19:56:35
How did he destroy alfie full rangers career in a season lol. Alfie disgraced himself towards the end but he carried us for years. Dessers couldn’t lace his boots.

14.) 12 May 2024 20:19:40
John27, you say Jack can't play, is he totally done through injury now? Or is it you don't think he's got it anymore, have you heard for definite bud.

15.) 12 May 2024 21:25:13
Fork I’ll answer for you, Jack is finished as a Rangers player.
We need to stop dreaming that players who have had extended injury lay offs coupled with advancing years are going to find some sort of cocoon movie moment and play like they did when they were in their twenties it won’t happen.
We need to be careful about extending any deals for the over thirties it’s a young man’s game. The experienced players we want to keep should be mid twenties. Our team at the weekend was slow in all areas of the pitch and this failing needs addressing.

16.) 12 May 2024 22:09:30
I agree Sima. Was just curious if John had heard anything concrete about Jack bud, you know one way or the other through his contacts.

17.) 12 May 2024 22:09:39
Wishybear. I agree Jack has to go, but when fit he's the best outfield player at the club.

18.) 12 May 2024 23:02:54
IF PC and the Board don't change things on the playing front for next season, we will have no chance of doing anything, the rot will well and truly set in, it doesn't bear thinking about.

19.) 12 May 2024 23:03:01
Sakala wasn’t good enough but was better than matondo.

20.) 13 May 2024 08:36:13
irvger, spot on. totally agree.

21.) 13 May 2024 08:57:42
Fork Jack at this stage has not been offered a new deal, only lundstrum, who’s offer was withdrawn in early March.

22.) 13 May 2024 10:24:59
Fork yes, look at his availability simply finished now

Mcminnn this when fit has to stop, it has cost us big Time. Millions on salary for Jack roofe dowell Lawrence matondo helander

Even ridvan a big concern re available.

23.) 13 May 2024 21:47:29
EHL
Not a hope, PC handicapped when arrived because all he had. Will be first to go and replaced.

03 Mar 2024 16:48:27
Haaland showing a touch of the Dessers today.

EHL2020

1.) 03 Mar 2024 17:07:36
More Van Vossen, I would say.

2.) 03 Mar 2024 18:34:42
Or Bo Anderson??.

3.) 03 Mar 2024 19:45:17
Morelos missed a couple 1 yard open goals as well.
