For the guys in the know - if we are to sign Barron, is the development fee preset? If not do we pay a small transfer fee or risk it going to tribunal?

I seem to remember we took Utd to tribunal and they had to pay a lot more than they expected for a young prospect (Charlie Telfer if I remember right) .

It’s more ham likely going to be a swap for mccrorie rather than squabble over fees for either.

The fee must be agreed by clubs or else it goes to a tribunal at which either side could be stung.

Yes they had to pay 200k plus I believe there is no way Aberdeen are getting more than 500k at a tribunal.

I’d say they’re due £300-£350k at tribunal.

I value mccrorie at £500k rising to £1m if he gets international caps.

Aberdeen should be happy with a straight swap and we get the right to buy back for £750k

Seems fair to me.

Imo we should force mccrorie into signing a years extension, or 2 or 3 if he’d do it.
With the promise he goes on loan each season if he’s not no1.
We can at the very least then sell him at a bigger profit next summer.

John just found that out late last night mate yes. Apparently after st Johnstone keeper.

May work out better for us then as we’d get more money selling him down south I’d think.

The boy wants to play and he’s u der contract.
We simply say the only way your leaving is if u sign an extension. Then loan.
Take it or leave it son.

There’s contracts to be honoured he’s not out of contract here.
