Hearing from friends of Nisbet family they expect him to be at ibrox
What do you think of St Johnstone keeper Mathews, the more i see of him the better I like him.

I’d take him nae bother don’t understand the pushback from folk, proven goal scorer in Scotland.
Only downside is it’s another player that could breakdown.

Only seen Mathews in our two games and he saved about six, seven goals. Said the same to my mate. Would take Nisbett at 2.5 mill. don't see him as 3rd choice striker.

morelos, no matter what else he brings, is an awful finisher. colak is a mile ahead in that dept . nisbet may be a combination of both, could be a masterstroke.

I know for a fact this is bs. You’ll see from my last couple of post I’ve been getting a bit of info off a friend who’s good pals with some of the big agents in Scotland. Asked about this last night and we’ve been in for him before and he’s knocked us back. He said there’s ‘absolutely no chance’ of us going back in for him after that mainly because he doesn’t want to play for Rangers.

As for Nisbet. If we are interested in him, and he would come to us (don't see why he wouldn't), then get him in. I still think hibs would rather not deal with us, but they might need to.

morelos is a fantstic finisher, cleanest striker of a ball I've ever seen, doesn't miss from an open goal on the goal line, never happened,

the finest striker of a ball we have ever had .

for those who do know . morelos brings a lot

but is an awful striker of a ball and is not a natural finisher

Morelos is the most over rated player i have seen. Miss-hits, toe pokes, blasts it. misses unbelievable chances and continues to walk into the team.

Not a patch on Colak.
Everyone raves on about him and i don't get it.

Morelos has zero composure in front of goal. He just blasts it.

However, he does everything else brilliantly. He’s still our number one striker. Even if we did sign Nisbet, my money would be on Morelos to start ahead of him and Colak because his all round game is just so much better. We have three attacking midfielders behind the line striker now (Kent, Cantwell, Tillman) and it’s about linking up with them, bringing them into okay, creating space, dragging defender around - Not just standing in the box waiting to put the ball in the net.

@bruno3 why wouldn't Nisbet sign for us, celtic won't sign him as they have just signed that S Korea boy and have 3 strikers and Rangers can offer euro football and chance at medals. Only reason I can see him knocking Millwall back was his agent I formed him of a bigger club offer. But we shall wait and watch what will be u fold.

Tomthumb I agree with you, I love Alfie he's been an excellent purchace most of the time, but he's very eratic and squaffs loads of chances, had a discussion on here about how poorly he heads a ball too but was thrown back he has scored a lot of headers, he's mince at headering a ball mostbhes scored he can't miss I totally see what you see, he's bang average at striking a ball, zero composure, he's better when it's instinctive and no time to think, he takes an extra touch and dithers on the ball, his touch today fir kamara goal was excellent but he twice should have played in cantwell for a tap in and that chance through on goal was typical Alfredo, his best asset is his strength and hold up play, honestly I've been one of Alfies biggest fans but I believe now we should probably be looking forward to our next main striker, he's one of the most frustrating players ever to wear our Jersey, can usually tell after the first challenge on him if he's going to be a team player or an Alfie player.

I agree in terms that Colak is clearly the better finisher between himself and Morelos however off the ball Morelos brings more, hold up play etc but that to me isn’t what a centre forward should be based on. His job should be to score goals and all those around him should be to create. Tillman, Cantwell and Kent as a floating 3 behind Colak could be very very deadly . Only time will tell I suppose.

The thing with Nisbet is interesting as I reckon he would jump at the chance to come, Celtic fan or not, but does he get in the team? We’re probably only ever going to play 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 variations so there’s only ever going to be one slot for him. I think focus has to be on signing Raskin right now and then a No. 1, we could probably get away with McGregor till the end of the season but it’s not something I’m confident about.
