That’s your opinion,
My point is not directly about Shankland but the dismissal of certain players being linked with us then mention players we should be going for that aren’t a level up but worse.
Like Nisbet for example.
If there is any truth in the rumours maybe we are looking at two or three forward players, For a replacement for Morelos I would expect us to bring someone in from England or Europe.
So that would be our main striker, with one other possibly to replace Colak or Roofe who is injury prone.

All players signed from other Scottish teams and done a fantastic job for our club,
Lots of more Scottish players that I haven’t mentioned,
Some of the fan base called the signing of Andy Goram a lack of ambition at the time,
We should be trying to sign the best Scottish players a and i would be happy to give Shankland a chance,
If we lose Morelos and get rid of Roof in the summer we probably need to sign 2 forwards of which I’m happy for Shankland to be 1,
Obviously it’s probably just another crazy rumour though but a player we should be looking at.

Our Scouting System is abysmal, a joke was made that we should go for Haaland but where did he start his career and when Dortmund picked him up he was still playing well in Norway for his local team.
We seem to ely on Agent contacts of Wilson, a poor Scouting Network that so far has not delivered and going for the low cost option and it hasn't worked.
Shankland is as good an option as any that we might come up with unless we fundamentally change where we are targeting!
Across the City, their manager has identified a number of players that are doing well, why because he knows the way they play and the quality that is available in the Far East. Do we have any Scouts there? Historically we signed exceptional players from Denmark, Italy and Germany, do we even look at these markets today?
I can see next season being another disaster where we finish as runners up because we sign the wrong players and we could actually end up wasting more money and being in a financially worse off position. Look at the failures so far, Yilmaz, £5m for a player we didn't need that doesn't look as good as Borna, £3m on Sakala, full of running but with noe end product, Matondo, £2m on a player that hasn't kicked a ball for us and £4m for Davies, who is a bomb scare. £14m wasted! Then there are the 'freebies', Souttarr, who has spent more time out injured than on the park, Lundsrum, a one season wonder, just as he was at Sheffield United and Wright, all brought in on a wing and a prayer!
We need a fundamental change in the way our Scouting Network operates, we need to widen the geography where we are scouting and we need to sign players that we need. They are out there, others have proved this, there are quality Bosmans available, one look at the list of contracts ending this summer proves this.
This summer will be interesting and will determine whether we or Celtic dominate Scottish Football for the next few years, our track record doesn't give too much hope but let's hope that Beale brings in the five or six players needed that will do the job for us.

He's a proven goalscorer in the realms of Kris Boyd, when we're looking to reshape a squad, he can do a job, will not be on high wages, scottish International, experience abroad, and on a relatively low outlay I'm actually surprised people don't think this is a good idea. For me the old not rangers class argument is decades old, class is built within players and teams, it allows us to use the budget to its full potential and there's been so many of us saying why didn't we go for Doig, Porteus, Ferguson etc. If people think we're getting Gazzas and Laudrups nowadays they're deluded, we need a core that know Scottish football and try to buy wisely youth or players that may have fell by the wayside like Cantwell. I feel good about the future.

Cantwell and Raskin are both quality signings, hopefully more like those in the summer, just as important will be who leaves, we need a serious clear out.
