If this was to go ahead it would probably have to be a minority share in the club, otherwise any chance of us ever playing in Europe again is gone. Similar to the city group this season with Man City and Girona.

Overall would not be a fan of this anyhow, all up for more investment but don’t like the idea of us being part of these groups that serve to feed one club.

John are you meaning in the same sense that Girona are part of city etc?

If so then that's a disaster as we are a massive club and should not be feeder to a club like Chelsea, unless we are allowed to operate independently and just receive financial backing. Even then still a disaster.

Anything that risks out participation in Europe will never happen, if it's a "friendship" where we get opportunity to maybe get a high quality loan player and they have first choice of any of our players for sale and some investment then maybe, Interested to see what that means.

Nothing on the Chelsea Group, John. I believe that Clearlake Capital, Pamplona Capital Management, (Halstead), and John Bennett's previous Group know each other through their trading operations and Gibson may have links from the past from California, (Santa Monica / San Francisco. That is where rumours might have started.
I'm still hearing that Gibson interested in further investment / Board seat. (I don't believe that Hong Kong Politics would detract from this.
Names from Scotland and SA (whisky link), still rumoured to be interest in acquiring shares.
Also heard Dublin links but this could be through the various Capital management operations of above Companies.
