Seen a couple of things on Twitter saying Garnacho, young winger from Man Utd joining on loan. Surely no?

PaulyDon

1.) 04 Aug 2022 00:42:11
I'm sure I read that he was to be party of their first team. Maybe something ed002 would know about?

{Ed002's Note - The most recent thing I am aware of is a plan to offer a new contract - that could see a loan. I am not aware of Rangers being involved at this time.}

2.) 04 Aug 2022 06:58:00
You've been done by a twitter troll page.

3.) 04 Aug 2022 10:07:24
this would be a very decent loan signing, but i don't think it will happen looks like he will be used by utd as a squad player this season.

4.) 04 Aug 2022 11:10:34
No thank you, we need 1st teamers now not young boys.

5.) 04 Aug 2022 10:54:52
Just love the little snippets of info from the Ed’s on this site little golden nuggets of information
???.

6.) 04 Aug 2022 11:25:38
Sweep and who do you think we should bring in.

7.) 04 Aug 2022 12:13:23
sweep, the young boy was a stand out in pre season and at the age of 17 was brought into the argentina full squad. think he would cope being a first teamer.

8.) 04 Aug 2022 12:21:04
Not another young winger with very little experience. We need an experienced pro to unlock defenses. What's the point to a signing like this one? Is he Amy better than Diallo? Took him most of his loan signing to settle. These loan signings are a complete waste of time.

9.) 04 Aug 2022 12:48:14
Sweep,

I agree we need an experienced pro to make us an attacking threat. However, that costs money that I don’t think we’ll spend much more.

10.) 04 Aug 2022 13:12:23
Tillman could be our number 8 and he would unlock defences. yes noticed bird is a dm Copland could maybe be as a replacement for Kamara.

11.) 04 Aug 2022 15:19:09
As delboy would say to rodney, "shut up you tart sweep1" ??.

12.) 04 Aug 2022 20:45:52
I certainly would not want to see kid from United, if we want to play a boy, let’s develop Lovelace.

Two great young Scottish CMs in Miller and Barron have been mentioned a lot recently. Where do our own young midfielders, Rice and McKinnon stand in terms of making it to being regulars in the first team? I want a good mix of Scottish players in our team and obviously having our own would be ideal, anybody any insights?

PaulyDon

1.) 31 May 2024 22:48:50
Great is a bit premature.

2.) 01 Jun 2024 01:06:15
Big difference is that Miller and Barron get game time. We need to start trusting some younger players before we can see how good they are.

3.) 01 Jun 2024 08:25:39
Barron and miller are trusted to start by their clubs our 2 aren’t for whatever reason.

07 Apr 2024 16:24:22
I'm done in after that. We definitely need new CBs with pace and a proper replacement for Jack. Could that be Sterling? I don't know, he's a great player but just not sure what his best position is.

God knows how we got a draw from that but we need to win every game left, what a goal from Matondo, give him a run I say.

Onto Dundee and get ourselves back in front.

Thought there was no way back at 0-2 and after our lacklustre performance in the first half PC was spot on with his substitutions especially the introduction of Sima and Matondo.
Always looking for 3pts but the 1pt gained might be the difference in our quest for the league title.
Next up Dundee.

2.) 07 Apr 2024 17:31:55
We don’t need to win every game.
Win 6 and draw with Celtic means we are Champions.

3.) 07 Apr 2024 17:56:44
Stirling is wasted at the back.

07 Feb 2024 00:40:36
I went into this game thinking our strongest midfield could well be Lunny, Sterling and a fit Lawrence. However Cantwell is getting back to his best.

What do you lot think?

PaulyDon

1.) 07 Feb 2024 03:03:04
Cantwell 5 goals in 8 games picking up important goals.

2.) 07 Feb 2024 08:53:45
Cantwell was MOTM for sure, his work rate is immense and got the vital goal.

Good to see Cantwell and Lawrence playing together too.

A few too many 'newcomers' appear to be in the know. and reckon we won't be doing much business at all. I smell something.

PaulyDon

1.) 12 Jan 2024 00:17:48
Yea and it won't burn mate.

2.) 12 Jan 2024 07:42:57
Paulton.

3.) 12 Jan 2024 07:44:45
Paulydon, I don't think we will do much business. maybe a couple of loans but i think any transfer kitty won't be untill the summer as we can't seem to shift players on who are on high wages. we have the highest wages in Scotland. come the summer tho a few of these high earners are off the books.

4.) 12 Jan 2024 07:55:35
Pauly so if your new u stink, personally I profess to know nothing and just like to give opinion on any topic that peaks my interest, not a good way to encourage newbies, Horsey u say it won't burn, but do you walk with a shovel behind you.

5.) 12 Jan 2024 08:20:15
Surely everyone is new at some point on the site?

6.) 12 Jan 2024 08:53:31
Everyone on the site has said we need a cf and I’m sure PC thinks the same, so I believe we’ll at least try to sign one if money is right, but not too many more by the sounds of it.

Not a rumour, more of a suggestion. Isaac Hayden - loanee from Newcastle playing in Belgium - looking to go elsewhere on loan for the rest of the season. 6ft 2 DM, can also play at CB. Championship clubs looking at him. Think he'd be a good addition.

PaulyDon

1.) 31 Dec 2023 09:29:13
Not for me paulydon, as we have raskin, big lunny and now the very impressive dujon sterling who can all play the no.6, defensive midfield role mate and our transfers business should be aimed at more pressing positions of our team ?.

I think we'd have to pay a couple mil on top of Lammers for him but could be a goer.

John Swift would be a fantastic signing, big strong and would finally give us goals from midfield.

We can't be hanging around til next season for Lennon Miller. IF we're interested then I want us to get him asap, his value will only go up and so will the number of clubs interested in him.

I'd pay 4m easy for Miller, He will be a top player worth at least 5 times that in a few years. We can't miss out on these Scottish gems.

I wish we could get a strong Scottish spine in the team but I can't see a strong Scottish CB we could go for or a forward to be honest.

Mate you ripped the guy to shreds as if he's done nothing for us. No he's no the best defender, he's a modern day full back. I always said he'd be better as a wing back in a back 5 but that's not how he's been used. You can't put our lack of success down to his captainship. Successive managers have kept him as captain and our No1 RB he can only play the game to his strengths.

Aye his defending has been even more exposed and his form has seriously dipped in that respect so I want a new RB or Sterling to be given a chance but just felt you were overly harsh on him.

Sunshine tell me more about Tavs 'pathetic stats' titles are won by teams. I do think we need to change things at the back but noone can deny his consistency with goals and assists. Wasn't a problem when we had a solid CB pairing and settled midfield, not that that lasted long.

Armstrong had the ball so he was entitled to slow down and cover, the defender was clumsy and his knee went right into him. penalty every day of the week.

Tierney's a huge miss, I've got Scotland 2-1 McTominay and McGinn to score or assist ?.

Raskin is quality and he will come good. His injuries have hampered him so hopefully a full preseason will see him push on.
