Rangers legendary 9 in a row captain & centre half richard (the lion heart) gough is to be given a rangers chief scouting job to discover young talent over the atlantic ie. usa, canada, mexico etc, this is terrific news both for rangers & goughie, what do you think bears'?

And this will cost how much compared to hiring a foriegn youth developement officer / coach to properly train / teach our youngsters?

Our youth are as good as anyones - we are just not teaching them properly!

If we are appointing a Chief Scout which has not been mentioned in the media, another option would be Arthur Numan.
Personally its all down to finances.

Experience in talent spotting a young footballer with potential? experience in coaching? ANy experience other than being a player and that certainly does not make you capable of spotting a player.

You are right because if a small City like Southampton produce players like Luke Shaw, Adam Lallana, James Ward-Prowse, while Dundee United a much smaller club and city in Scotland are producing Ryan Gauld, Stuart Armstrong, Mackay-Steven who will leave but they sold Scott Allen and Goodwillie (back on loan) and still producing good talent. It makes me wonder why are the famous Glasgow Rangers the only players that plays often is Lewis Macleod and Canada born Frasier Aird
