Full of loaners? We have a great squad just now. MORE than capable of winning this league. Supplementing it with 3/4 squad players who could have the potential to be starters and the possibility of signing them should the ly do well sounds like a good plan. I'd rather that than buying lesser players because the right ones are not there. Sensible spending and avoiding the mistakes of our past and then more investment next year once promoted. Warburton knows what he's doing.

i know Ally that's a disgrace, a team that lost 12 first team players last season, in a transitional phase, with no money bringing in players on loan, terrible. I mean that would be three whole players to supplement the 8 permanent signings.

firstly we are not a club full of loanees, we currently have two players in on loan, another two would purely bulk up the squad. would we rather pay £10k a week to keep jon daly on the bench for example! secondly, the rumour is quite plausible as I worked in a hotel in Aberdeen and they regularly sent there new signings to stay with us for weeks until they got accommodation sorted, Paul Hartley for example stayed almost 6 weeks!

smithoo69 your right but loanees don't come cheap u pay there wages and a fee on top the other reason we have loanees we have not had a proper scouting system in place so finding players and checking them out then getting them in takes to long warburton and weir have most of their buisness done earlyand are now getting some squad members in while they are looking to get the scouting position beefed up as the board are allowing them to get there men in for the jobs

Mw is a big believer in using the loan system and as long as it works to our advantage in the short term there is nothing wrong with it.

However in the medium to longer term we need to be developing our own talent and not helping other clubs develop theirs.
