BBC website and Daily Mail both reported last night that Joey Barton has agreed terms with Rangers and will sign paraded to the media today or tomorrow. Daily Mail also stated that a deal is close to l and Kranjcar too. If they both sign surely that gives us a huge boost in terms of experience and the right type of players? My only fear is that Barton might be targeted by some of the morons playing for other SPL teams in terms of provoking him to get him sent off. We can't look to referees to do us any favours so Barton will have to be disciplined.

Joey Barton is a very different player to what he was years ago, don't think he was sent off at all last season.

Think he was booked 10 times in 40 games, not a bad ratio for a centre midfield player.

To be fair he's probably been targeted for provocation every game he's played so the fact he hasn't been red carded for so long goes to show he has matured as a player.

lets hope he doesn't stub cigarettes out on the youth players faces or assaults any youth player's . Joey Barton is a moronic thug of a player and should not be anywhere near a football field . how can Rangers complain about behaviour then sign that man!

What? Nothing at all to do with rangers, what Barton did years ago, if it happened last week then you might have a point, but you simply couldn't stop yourself, grow up man, are ee to question every players background / or just Barton / because you would be surprised to learn a few things.
