Great news - Morelos signs an extension to his contract.

Makes no odds he’ll b gone in the summer regardless. Wouldn’t b surprised if the new contract has a 20m buy out clause. Glad we have done this tho as it’s about time we started demanding £ which represents what our players r worth!

I agree true blue. He is passionate and that's what gets him into bother. I don't mind that it gets him into bother though. Obviously we miss him, but I'd rather have a passionate player. He's ambitious too, and I don't mind him having that either, some move for the money, he seems the type who wants to move to test himself against the best, and to be the best too. He has an aim, and if we reap the benefits of him achieving that, both on and off the field, then it great.

I see where you are coming from, SQ14, my hope is we will get one more season from him, however giving the lad an increased wage and possibly inserting sell on clause is great business.
At least mark Allen and others are looking after our interests.

He will more than likely be off in the summer! I’m glad he’s signed on and we can get what he’s worth in the window if he goes! He’s a fine player and a commodity for us! We need to start getting proper coin for our guys if they have to leave! They rhats over the road get good money for guys who are substandard! It’s about time we started following suit imo!

Before signing this I thought he was 100% away in the Summer. Now there’s a glimmer of hope that he may just stay for 1 more season.
Maybe there’s a release clause inserted allowing him to move at end of next season or at the least a release clause of £20m for him to leave now.
Maybe Stevie G has managed to convince him that spending another season playing regularly is the best thing for his career at this stage.
Listen I’m not saying he will definitely stay behind the summer just that now there’s a chance that he might.

Great work but I'm not a fan of release clauses (if there is one) . If you have 3 clubs interested they all just offer the minimum price. We can't have a bidding war which is the best way to get top money. 3 bids of different value allows you to negotiate with the club's making offers.
